It now has bigger twin 67s (yes there bigger, the exhaust is bigger and has a better flowing comp wheel). It made 11xxrwhp if I remember correctly.

909.65 hp to be exact round up 910 so u were right on the dot. 6spd manual gearbox on a rear wheel drive has a 15 percent drop. so good job on the calculating, right on the dot. thumbs up man

Prolly on 93 oct and detuned on purpose. That builds got 1000+ with the right tune and fuel

It can be, just depends on what is put into the car. For an example, Lingenfelter and their Vettes, automatics lose 21% while manuals lose 17%. So you're right haha.
Well, that's a 18.5% difference, which is probably what they calculated in drivetrain loss.
checked out some of the criticism on ricekiller forums!for once I will have to agree with jarrods comments on build!also 1st time on dyno,low boost,give the owner a little break!lots of cars faster than guys critiqeing video im sure,would like to line up with some of those critics? i aint sceered!!!!

Most people would just say "791whp Camaro" instead of trying to estimate the flywheel horsepower, considering horsepower was not measured at the flywheel. But props to the owner for building a super clean car!

I am assuming they are saying it made 970 engine HP, but that dyno run said 791 HP so that translates to 930 HP. So I really dont know for sure lol.

turbo doesn't really come on strong til the last second, pair of a little smaller turbos or a higher revving engine might help get the torque curve to sky rocket. still a powerhouse tho, great vid

Before people start running there mouth maybe they should look at the other videos of this car posted on youtube putting down right at 1200 to the wheels, this dyno run was most likely on a VERY mild street tune.

1998-2002 LS1 F-Bodies are still the best looking and handling muscle cars GM has made to this day. I'll take one of them over the new Camaros any day.

I think the new Camaro's are too bulky and handle like a pig compared to the 98-02's. Put them on a diet.
Not to mentioned the rear taillights on the new Camaro are the ugliest design I have seen in my opinion. At least for 2014 the redesigned them to look a little better.

for sure, the new ones are fat and not much fun. I almost bought one twice, just couldn't pull the trigger after sitting in mine, my GTA felt like a go cart in comparison. I will wait for the 2015, we shall see whar that one becomes. If its any more than 3500lbs, I will pass and buy a 2008 zo6. I am sick of pony caers weighing more than 2 tonnes. I agree with you that the 98-02 are cool carsm ust not that pretty, lol.
1gbayfisher A Muscle car that weights close to 4000 lbs should have 4 doors or at least ample room in the back seats ala GTO, Charger, Challenger etc. As much of a Camaro fan and Chevy guy as I am the 2010 and up Camaro has no back seat room yet weights almost as much as an SUV. I am glad to see someone here agree. If I were you I would opt for the Z06. You see Camaro's everyday not not a Z06 every day. I wish auto makers would put as much emphasis on curb weight as they do on Horespower in today's Muscle car wars. I would rather have something nimble and powerful than a tank with a monster engine in it.
I still love Camaros's but the 98-02 LS1's produce the same 1/4 times as todays Camaro with the 6.2. So have they really improved the Camaro? Just sayin..

well put man, dyno's are like lie detectors you cant depend on them. if this car was dyno'd at a few different spots then his rwhp would read different than from this video not by much tho but im not talking down on the beautiful muscle car by no means but dyno's give a ruff estament at the wheels either the front, rear, or all 4 wheels. no him saying 970hp thats at the crank or fly what have you. hp starts its lose after the motor as it travels to the wheels thats why it reads 790. great car!!!

The nasty performance fuel system is made by behind bars race cars. Nasty nate buys it from bbrc puts his name on it and sells it,as if he builds them. If anyone is interested in that fuel system check out behind bars race cars
Im down by 140 or so cubes and only have one turbo... 5 liter stroker 2v and I put down 749 @ only 17psi with a billet CT4380 TBB snail

the 970hp is estimated Crank HP with a 19% driveline loss. Its 791rwhp.
The car is cool and all and im a die hard lsx fan..but a 441 with twins should be making ALOT more than 791 especially with a 6 speed. Ive watched several 370ci ls motors with single 76mm turbos make over 800..
turn the boost up, that motor should be making alot more than that
