My guess would be the 110 is not Newton Meters, but Newtons per Meter. This sounds unusual, but it is the units of something known as "the Spring Constant" k, in Hooke's law: F = -kx It roughly translates to the stiffness of the spring, its resistance to compression. How many newtons of force you need to apply to a spring in order to compress it a certain distance. If: F is Force, measured in Newtons x is distance , measured in meters Then k has to be Newtons / meters in order for the units to balance. Great video, I hope the new shocks worked out for you.
Great video, I have just ordered one for my scrambler. I don't get why you felt the need to take measurements though. When you fit a new shock the bike will sit according to how the spring pre load is set from the factory. You then adjust the pre load to suit your weight. There is nothing else to do. By the way its a grub screw not a grommet.
Looks great. Where did you buy it?

I measured just to see what the height would be, and if there would be any difference, I will never make the mistake about the grub screw again.
@@stevieg7403 OK. I understand. I took your advice and ordered a 50mm M10 stainless cap head bolt for the top mount.
I’ve just ordered a slightly stiffer spring, I feel with the standard spring the bike sinks too much . I will post a video when it arrives.
