I am soo on the fence right now. I am a DCS player and have been using the Reverb G2 for a couple years now. The size and weight is hard to beat of the bigscreen beyond.
Sorry to the dude who posted a comment and I accidentally deleted regarding the apple vision head band. Completely agree, would be great if we could get a strap like that for BSB!
It’s good to see ‘untainted’ vr headset impressions. It would be great if you could borrow a couple other headsets though just to get an impression of those. On one hand that’d make you just like the other vr headset reviewers, but bc you’re so fresh to vr in general and not jaded by it all I think you might be able to offer some better insights on any real downfalls of the BSB from a ‘normal’ user perspective.
Cheers mate, really appreciate your point of view. I have friends with older headsets I could review (quest 2 etc). Just don't know how helpful my opinion would be. If I get my hands on newer units I'd give my opinion but its early days though, so what will be, will be I guess.
I gave up on my micro oled dreams. The beyond has lots of people having issues with receiving the wrong IPD and also having problems with their face gasket. It has been taking bigscreen 4-6 weeks to swap out for new IPD and for new face gasket. So order it and wait 6 months to get an actual decent experience and the audio strap isn't even released yet. Plus the lenses have tons of glare and tiny sweet spot.
Feel your pain mate, it's not for everyone and I don't know which headset is. However, if you get it right (eventually) I really feel the BsB takes some beating. The sweet spot isn't really an issue for me but the glare I'd agree is annoying.
Sorry bud missed this! Yes its def there day or night wont make a difference with a well fitted gasket. I can look past it though for all the other positives the BsB brings.
Just realised it's you from other vid, cheers for sticking around mate really appreciate it! Don't really know why you don't have it yet tbh. Maybe supply/volume is dependant on IPD size... ie the weirder the size (like mine) the more likely the stock. Doubt it will be much longer though bud, fingers crossed for you.

I heard there is a ton of glare with this headset. Especially when in sim at night. What's your opinion?

The main problem with the BSB is that, exactly 6 months after my order, mine still hasn't arrived... ☹
Yeah when you spend 1100 bucks you want it to arrive within a week not 6 months. Only reason I've not bought one yet.

UK. Ordered October. Last I heard, back in January, I was told delivery would be in April, so fingers crossed.
