@@HMSGOfficial yeah I saw that and it was super helpful! I was thinking maybe expand further into another video with real world examples of tuning out oversteer or understeer on, for example, dry bumpy gravel, by balancing ARB+springs+dampers

Fantastic video as always! But I'm ended up missing something from it, although I understand it's not the objective of the video, but may be a great idea for another one: an explanation on how to do hairpin turns, from a driver perspective, with these AWD Rally1/Rally2 cars. The in-detail steps required to do it: how much to brake, how to shift the weights, how and when to apply the throttle; what happens if the throttle is applied too early and too much; does it spin? does it pull us straight without any problem? does it depend on the road camber, the setup of the car, and how the driver managed its balance throughout the hairpin? It's a hot and interesting topic among simracers for example, where some believe AWD cars should just push straight when going full on the throttle; and the likes of me who believe the car will spin like crazy if done that carelessly, unless the diffs are set-up to avoid that.
They've been racing in the World Rally Championship since 2014 and even won two constructor's and one driver's title! Plus, the guy from this video, Hayden Paddon, just won two back to back European Rally Championships in a Hyundai. They're quite successful in the sport!
@@HMSGOfficial I noticed that some drivers still clutch in during really tight hairpins though. Is that manufacturer-dependent thing or are there still some scenarios where you want to add clutch? Maybe when the RPM's get low?
Is there anything cooler than a handbrake turn? 😎
There is not.
Yes, I’m wondering i20 rally 1 race car’s cooling and TMS(Thermal management system) for HEV.😊

Plus the Coupê kit car in the late 90’s, then the accent WRC in the early 2000’s… Hyundai goes way back 😉

Yessss! Thank you for explaining, but it’s cool this guy is a new fan too 😉
is the front/rear brake bias mechanism alone able to generate the 5 bar delta pressure?
or it is not equipped as such due to rules, etc
Good question 😄 Yes it is, but the diff unlocked only activates when you pull the handbrake 🫡
Strictly speaking, isn’t the purpose of the unlocker to let you do a handbrake turn without using the clutch?
Yes, they don't touch the clutch, but the diff unlocker uses its own automatic mini clutch to unlock the diff when you pull the handbrake 💪
and meanwhile provide directional thrust through the front tires
Exactly! 👍
