I like how you do your demolition neatly and orderly. Makes clean up easier and enables the reuse of much of the materials.
At this rate, he will make repairs until the end of his life, he is slow as a snail!
Of course Iliias hobby would be bonsai , he has such patience and attention to detail 🌴
Wow, that is a huge space once you removed the wobbly wall! So much hard work, and then the constant cleanups and moving of materials! Amazing! ❤️
I have noticed your confidence growing over the years and I think you are an awesome carpenter and bricklayer and tile worker! You and you wife are very talented people and I love your videos.
There appears to be to be no end to your talents you two , and the depth and breadth of your commitment to your beautifully developed sense of the aesthetic.I remember first being struck with your wide range of interests when you bravely entered that large covered scary water-tank in the courtyard and spoke of its future for holding fish .Then seeing the number of beautiful trees and shrubs accumulating in pots waiting for their permanent homes .These living things need tender time consuming care along with your fish and cats and now we see Bonsais! Your landscaping projects are already underway while your house renovation continues inexorably. You are talented jugglers with so many balls up in the air . When your house is ready to inhabit you will almost have everything right there to be able to move a few things about to create your courtyard garden of eden.❤
The bonsai are beautiful. Thank you for sharing! I love your channel.
Thank you so much 😊
I admire your tenacity in tackling jobs everyday without complaining you and your wife is a example for all our lazy ones out there keep it up from Lucy South Africa Durban
Bless your heart, Iliya. Bonsai show/market a nice break! Stay warm, safe, healthy and curious, guys. Greetings from Ohio USA.❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉😊😊😊😊🐈⬛🐈⬛🐈⬛🇺🇦🇺🇸
It's so funny watching Illia moving in time lapse. I bet he wishes the job would go that fast 😊
Wishing him the best of success on the project and on his bansai hobby.
This is so exciting! Have you considered putting the bathroom in the currently smallest corner next to the stairs? That would give you three approximately equal-sized bedrooms and one still quite generous bathroom. Alternatively, have you considered putting the hallway to the attic stairs on the other side of the bathroom wall, so the small corner bedroom can be a bit bigger since it would no longer be sacrificing space to the hallway?
It just seems like bathrooms don't need much of a footprint, but bedrooms where you store your clothes and need to be able to walk all the way around the bed might.
I’m amazed you can find time for hobbies. You are Super Man!
Great to see that Illia has a hobby with bonsai! We were interested in them about 45 years ago, but life took over and we left it behind. Wish you luck with your tree!🙏🏻🌳
i have watched you save and store so many materials, lots and lots of bricks, over the years. Your commitment to recycling is to be commended but the question is "When, and on what, will you start reusing them.
ILIA!! WOW BONSAI!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ SPECTACULAR TREES!! Methinks you've mastered hempcrete installation 🤣 That was as more than one row! 1st floor is going to be amazing 🥰🥰
Have you been told? You are wonderful.👍👍
Not yet! Thanks a lot ❤️
Oh, that's right. Those bricks are not going to carry themselves out of there. How wonderful the bonsai displays are! I lived in Japan as a child and fell in love with the tiny, perfect trees and the imaginary tiny creatures that lived among them! I had a big blue pottery dish with a pine tree and a dry stream running next to it. There was a tiny moon bridge over the stream.
Illia and Mariana that was so good to get back on the big house with all the set backs finally lets do it thank you for sharing and your time can't wait for next video
It’s interesting how easily those bricks come apart. This kind of building is so different then what we see in the United States the weight of brick and stone walls on a upper floor is huge.
LOVE the bonsai show and Illia's collection!!
And si the next chapter begins, all the best and hope it alls stays well..😊
You’re amazing Ilia! You have a heart of love. Beautiful bonsai.
Oh yes the insulation starting on the second floor! Woohoo!
This so reminds me of the very first day you two learned how to build a hempcrete wall with the advise of the supplier. And I love your bonsi skills, Illia. Cheers from SW Florida!
I watched the video again as well 😁 good old times
Great to see the old farm house back in action 👍👍👍
❤❤ I love you're "trees"🌲. Am always happy to see updates on your restoration!
Should go easier on that floor now that you know how to do it with precision. Looking good and I hope you are able to get the chimney re-pointed so that you can have a fire again soon.
Thanks for posting and sharing. I hope you are able to reuse the old staircase.
Keep on keeping on there you’ll make it I’m sure!!!
Been so long since I saw hempcrete going up. This means progress. Good job both of you
It feels good to finally start on this 🙌🏼
It's nice to see progress on the main house. Keep it up you two!
Thanks for the trip to Bonsai Show. Beautiful artform. Glad you are finally working on the main house again. Have a great week.
The best part of my Tuesdays.
whoa the bonsai's were breath taking! Also, I love your editing! I so look forward to your videos every week
I understand your love of Bonsai I am a bonsai lover too!!
Was a joy to see you all. Good Luck
The bonsai is amazing!
Илья, рад за Вас что решили заняться выращиванием бонсай. Удачи на этом долгом, интересном и увлекательном пути.
You guys are doing a great job ❤❤❤😊😊😊
Those Bonsai are so relaxing to view... I miss living in Japan... *sigh* A great hobby Illya!!
Ребятки - вы лучшие! Снимаю шапку перед вами!🎉 Привет из Квебека!!
Wow! Great progress and very inspirational! You are really getting there. Thank you for sharing!
These Bonsai trees were wonderful, and it takes long time and effort to get such results, so I can justify the prices asked, for all the work and admiration there is in from the person or even generations of owners shaping it and caring for it.
The exhibition center (Limburghallen, Genk) is very familiar to me, I have been taking part in exhibitions with the model railway club I'm member of and also a couple of privately owned model railway layouts many times there. But these trees are real living models!
Wow, i bet it feels good to start the insulation again. So satisfying!
Looking good fellas ..😂😂❤❤
spiney black olive trees make excellent bonsai. they come in a dwarf and a regular size, and are commonly called geometry trees for their branch and leave growth patterns
Looking great
We have an annual Bonsai exhibition near me and I've also traveled to Montreal, Canada to see their exhibits. 💗🌴
What wonderful self control!!.. faced with all those astounding bonsai trees on display, you treated yourself to a tiny E20 take-home tree. Your farm house project must come first.
Good to see you using knee protection. Your 50 year old body will thank you! With walls down the space appears huge. At 2:35 into the video I notice an overhead beam with a long diagonal crack leading down to the center of the beam, which is it's weakest point. Was a removed wall supporting that beam?
1:00 killer beats 🎉 makes him work even faster 😂
👍 BONSAI !!!! RIGHT ON !!!!
Bonsai is one of my hobbies! I have two.
it is interesting how you gain space with wall demolition so you don't really lose space with the insulation blocks. Win win.
I don't know the name of the materials, and I know you couldn't possibly take the rotating drum upstairs. But wouldn't it be easier if you at least mixed the "mortar" product upstairs since you only use a drill mixer? Still, I shouldn't question your methods. Your perfectionism speaks for itself. Even caught Annika checking out the work site.
Looking good 👍Gaspard!!
Reclaimed old brick is extremely expensive in America. I’d definitely reuse that brick on the new walls as a veneer. You’ll get the same effect by cutting the front & back off of the brick with a wet saw. You’d hang it like you would wall tile. It’d look like the wobbly wall but safe!
Thanks for your vid 😇💟💟💟 Love and bless you guys good work 👍😁💪.
Дуже тішуся щоразу, як бачу Ваші нові відео))))
Щиро тішуся за Вас)
A BIG THUMBS UP
Amazing!
Just an idea, you can use EPS blocks, they can be sticked to the wall with a proper glue or stacked like the concrete blocks. also you can create a drywall with wood o steel frame and fill that with isolation (PUR or Glass wool)
Don't know wich one is cheaper, but could be easier to mount.
Anyways, great job! I follow your job from the last 2 years!
I miss the team. Only one. Double the time.
Impressive!
Seems so spacious - great start! 💪
Удачи вам
I would have ended up buying the little one after I lusted after the expensive ones!
Love them little trees were was the exhibition would love to have seen that
It seems like such hard work to insulate that way. Wonder what those blocks weigh.
Are you not concerned with sagging of the large beam once you have removed the wall?
what about electric outlets ? 😆 you can never have too many
That looks great! Can you feel the difference in the rooms after you add the insulated block layer?
I love Bonsai
Yay! My favorite!
Sou fã! ❤
Viele Grüße aus Deutschland 👋
The little trees are beautyful, but so expensive there. I havent seen here long time them.
Oh, I would love a Japanese maple bonsai. :)
Since you are taking down all these walls are you changing the layout at all? You might answer this in the video I only part way through.
Гарний drum )
I’ve tried growing bonsai a couple times. I don’t know what I do wrong because they only die. 😔
That looks like such a long span. Are you sure that wasn't a partially load bearing wall?
Has your bedroom and bathroom design changed since you have the tiny (guest) home now and removed walls?
Recommend that you paint/seal the walls first before you cover them up with insulation. That way you will help to keep the dust down. The walls will simply "shed" dust by natural expansion and contraction.
QUESTION: it looks like you have structural floors made with horizontal brickwork ? How is that possible ? Is there something in the floor structure to support this method ? Thanks for any answers
Penso che sarebbe stato meglio mettere prima le canaline e le eventuali tubature per acqua e corrente prima di mettere i mattoni isolanti
❤😊
❤❤❤❤
🔥🔥🔥♥️😊🇧🇪
I sotto titoli in italiano grazie🤗
after the bedrooms are ready will you be working on this kitchen this year?
GRAZIE MILLE👌
😍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Does bonsai require a lot of patience?
❤❤❤❤❤
👋🙋♂️🤗🙂👍👍
Buon lavoro, fate pochi video e veloci
von mir auch Gruss aus Deutschland. Ja, Bonsais sind schön anzusehen, aber selber eins haben - nein danke, kein Platz. Gut aussehen tun auch Gestecke, die nach Art Ikebana zusammengestellt sind.
Where is your black inspector cat ?
🇧🇷👏👏👍😉🙌♥️🏡
