I remember waiting at the salon to have my hair done...first time. I was 13. I remember the tingles I experienced watching someone get their hair washed. I'm 60 and still remember that experience.
Are there anything called vsmr? For me it’s mostly about the audio but it’s interesting to see so many getting exited about and even getting tingles from the visuals. It can be very relaxing to watch a handcraft in action but I have never had tingles from it. Maybe it’s a combination from the sounds and the visuals?
I also remember my first asmr experience! My moms friend was doing a puzzle and as I was watching her gently move the pieces around I got tingles! This was about 25 years ago :)
My first experience was in 2nd or 3rd grade having a tick removed from my head lol, the guy’s hands were cold and I liked how he moved my hair. Almost 20 years ago what the heck
My first experiences with ASMR were from watching Bob Ross’s painting videos on PBS as a kid. I would get tingles in that intangible part of my head as he tapped and swept over the canvas. I just thought it was a weird thing I experienced until years later when I mentioned it to my brother-in-law and he told me there was this whole thing called ASMR that he’d heard about and it sounded like what I was describing. And after that I found my people online! And it turns out there’s a whole generation of kids who experienced ASMR from Bob Ross shows (before the internet made ASMR more accessible) and none of us knew how to describe it!
Could you do one like this, but of movie stars from the 40s and 50s? The real glamor years with people like Greta Garbo, Cary Grant, Joan Crawford, Audrey Hepburn, etc. I believe it would be a great video.
PLEASE consider doing a longer version of this! just the tracing with your hands and describing the faces MELTS me. you don't have to do anything else! simplicity sometimes is the most tingly. I'm begging cause I've never had tingles like this before

Thank you Maria for all your help over the years! I first started watching when i was 15, starting school from being homeschooled, my family was in poverty (6 people all in one bedroom), and my mom was coming out as trans and my parents were divorcing because of it. All of that mess was so hard to cope with. I discovered asmr and while i’ve rarely experienced tingles, the soothing nature of the videos along with the lovely sounds took my mind off of stress and allowed me to feel loved and pampered when i was a scared teenager. Now i’m 22, living on my own, and my life is 10x better but i still sometimes need that extra support and loving at night. Thanks for everything, you truly have helped me so much in my life. Okay, so I'm going to say this because I think most people don't realise it and it's something important. I'm Spanish and my English level is not great, but also not bad. Maria's first language is not English. She may live now in an English speaking country but it's not her mother tongue, so it's amazing the huge level she has. And it's great that I can feel relaxed while listening to her, because she hardly ever (I don't ever remember a single time) makes mistakes. And a lot of ASMRtists make lots and lots of mistakes, which may not disturb native English speakers, but might disturb people who are not great with the languages, and are still learning. Hello! I related to this comment because I was also fortunate to be introduced to ASMR through one of Maria's videos. I wasn't even looking for it and the title and the word 'ASMR' didn't mean anything to me but I was hypnotised and was drifting to sleep in the middle of the day watching her and couldn't comprehend what magic this video had in it that could have such an effect on me! 😂 the video was her welcoming a model into a modelling agency, taking photos of them and measurements and registering them onto the system - I'll never forget it ❤

Maria I have a video idea! You should put a clear plastic cover over some of the celebrities faces and do their makeup! It would have to be pictures where they aren’t wearing a lot or any. You could do eye brows, lipstick, eye liner, blush, etc.

I rarely experience tingles. I mainly listen because it is so relaxing and makes me feel safe and comfortable to fall asleep to. However, this video actually gave me chills and it was so cool to experience. I guess is the audio equivalent of the joy I feel when crinkling bubble wrap or or the sensation of a cold glass of water when dehydrated. Just a moment of pure bliss.
I haven't felt these tingles since the Tesla ASMR video! In that video Maria traced the headrest and tapped around it and it sent chills down my spine. This video just let me know that face tracing was my trigger, thank you!

Maria I have a video idea! You should put a clear plastic cover over some of the celebrities faces and do their makeup! It would have to be pictures where they aren’t wearing a lot or any. You could do eye brows, lipstick, eye liner, blush, etc.

I rarely experience tingles. I mainly listen because it is so relaxing and makes me feel safe and comfortable to fall asleep to. However, this video actually gave me chills and it was so cool to experience. I guess is the audio equivalent of the joy I feel when crinkling bubble wrap or or the sensation of a cold glass of water when dehydrated. Just a moment of pure bliss.

hello Maria! 🤍 I know you always like to take things to the next level, but I think sometimes simplicity is the most relaxing when it comes to ASMR. I personally love when you trace the faces with just your hands, the effect it creates MELTS us because the pictures are big and in good quality so it looks like you're actually caressing the person's face. that's why it's so lovely (+the describing) so THANK U for doing this!
