The slur means "slow" and comes from an outdated clinical term for people with developmental disabilities. It stopped being used in the medical community for very good reason.

The slur means "slow" and comes from an outdated clinical term for people with developmental disabilities. It stopped being used in the medical community for very good reason.
@@nicolekrofta3595 I dunno what to tell you. It's pretty much the most common slur there is against people who are considered to lack intelligence. It was thrown around all the time in the 90s and early 2000s, pretty much as casually as "that's so gay" was. I'm honestly kinda jealous of the fact that you can't figure out what it was though. It pretty much jumped into my brain the second I saw the r.
