Today we are unboxing a watch from Baltany, a brand that does a lot of old military homages, with this one being the most original I have seen. In the world of Submariner homages an homage of a Roolex Oyster from 1926 is a true refreshment!
The watch is spectacular in person and despite having things i USUALLY don't like, like all polished case and gold plated details, on this piece it just somehow works!
The watch is incredibly thin, especially considering it is an automatic, powered by a chinese Sea-Gull movement and comes with a highly domed sapphire crystal, and one of the most comfortable leather straps I have tried.
With a ridicilously low price, it is a no-brainer if you like the styling, and I have to admit I love it!

oh man, if they have a 9039 version I'm almost tempted
they do, I bought one, though with the mother-of-pearl dial (and big seconds, but you cannot have small seconds with the 9039)
Nice! I was tempted to get this model, But ended up getting the V.C. homage, offset dial was small second hand, in salmon/copper during the sale. The dial just was too pretty to pass up,.. Even with the strange dial orientation. The color, dials, indices and hands are not a direct copy of the original watch. The size is also different at 38mm. Just different enough for a pass for me.
How sad for me! 6 or 7 years ago I bought a Glycine that looked exactly like this for about $900!

@@crybabychrononaut if you were a watchmaker as I am now for over forty years and a fifth generation major watch store owner who has seen the horrible disappointment on the faces of people who have lost thousands of dollars to counterfeit timepiece produced in communist China you would have quite different intelligible comment. Chinese companies as "Baltany" sell their quote legitimate watches to the public but they are a major producer of fake luxury watches that steal the patton rights of all major Swiss brands.
