Im still just a huge fan of your aigis tattoo , no doubt you are probably excited for the persona 3 remake reloaded as well haha. also thanks for the vids its made me a big fan of spiders over this last year !
hey huge fan of ur channel im sorry to bug you but im lookin to get back into the hobby any advice would be gratefully appreciated again the fact more n more ppl dont know about ur channel is sad such a fun channel to watch :)
I am not a spider person or a reptile person, just a dog and cat person. I really enjoy watching these videos and have learned to respect these creatures and their owners. Recently we moved and on the first day in our new home a relatively large very fuzzy spider was walking across the counter. I was getting close to him looking to see what kind of spider he might be when my husband walks by, sees the spider and smashes him thinking he was doing me a favor. I was so sad. I think he was a jumping spider. So I think I am learning to appreciate spiders, but now we need to work on my husband😢
I'm with you on the new found respect. I actually want a few tarantulas now, my boyfriend is not enthusiastic at all haha. But I think next year I'll try to get a sling and see how that goes :)
@@graffitibot1792DO IT!!!!! You won’t regret it! I got my first tarantula last month, a GBB sling, and I’m planning on getting more. They really are wonderful little creatures
Please tell me I'm not the only one who can't imagine how people actually manage to wrap up Tarantulas of all sizes for shipping. O_O That must be such a pain.
Yes! They are easily injured both mechanically and by the wrong temperature. Those delicate young spiders were extremely carefully wrapped and boxed. I was full of admiration both for the dainty tarantulas and the way they traveled safely. I’m sure the one that didn’t make it was done in by the unplanned delay.
@@catherinehubbard1167 I mean even the larger ones. I imagine the small ones can be nudged lightly to crawl into this small hide of paper, but larger ones? Especially the very defensive and bolty. ... Wrapping them up can't be easy 😵💫
It's actually pretty cut and dry on paper. Put a bit of paper towel in the bottom of a cup or vial, make a tube using a finger as a guide to determine circumference. Jam the tube into the container of choice, herd the sling into the hole and cap with a new bit of paper towel, snap the lid on, and you're good to go. Sounds easy enough, right? What could possibly go wrong trying to wrangle an arachnid the size of a dust speck into a small space they've never seen before? It's not like they are stupidly fragile and susceptible to squishing by a deep breath, or faster than a spotted toddler with a glue stick in their mouth....😂😂😂 I'm sure it's the most sailor mouth inducing experience that ever existed. Especially if they are a super bolty species. Rewarding, but F that S in the A, no thank you. I'll leave that to professionals and the crazy people. 😅
@russellyoung1 Yep, I knew these Australian genera existed. I was just referring to the American audience because that's where most of them seem to be in captivity.
fascinating watch and this ladies love for the species comes bursting through ,cant say i personally find them as cute and adorable as she obviously does but kat you are so watchable will definitely be back for more
I found you through Petko and thanks to you and him i do not hate spiders with passion anymore 😅 I even held a jumping spider! I am still scared of the larger ones and will keep away for now, but i am making progress!
I had no idea tarantulas could be so itty bitty! I thought they were all gigantic. I've learned so much from your channel (and nearly tamed my raging arachnophobia!)
I have all the Dwarfes in this Video. Most of the Dwarf-Tarantulas are excellent Hunters, it makea lot of Fun to see them hunting. And the Colors are awesome! I love this Video. THANKS!
Ooh, new ink?! The arm's looking good!! Are you going to get anything else added, or is that arm pretty much done? Oh yeah, and the spiders are cute, too!😅
Don’t own any spiders, but my journey started with caring guides for praying mantis and that led to me being curious about scorpions and spiders and now I can’t leave your channel. You’re badass
Absolutely love the closures , and the wee guys are adorable , shame on the one loss 😢 paper was really dried out an all of them I thought . But so cute love the dwarfes 🧡
So I watched this video last night and bought a H. Gabonesis today! You mentioning that they can be bolty helped me get prepared for rehousing it and was successful. Thanks!
Thx alot for your Videos, my gf and i found a Hobby together first watching your content , then keeping snails and milipedes and now after they all seem to be happy with Our care for them we will have our first spider a pterinopelma sazimai in a week from now , thanks for inspiring us ❤
Oh Wow! I received my first dwarf tarantula in November 2023! I LOVE IT! It by far is the tiniest sling I've ever cared for. SO CUTE! It's a Davus pentaloris. I lost my brother unexpectedly in Oct. of 2023 and just bad. After I arrived back home after 3 weeks in Ohio I told my husband I was going to order a couple. Because you can't just order ONE tarantula. Not cool. :) Shipping and all. Not smart. So...D. pentaloris was the only dwarf I ordered and the only dwarf T I have to date. My brother's name was Dave and I decided to name the D. pentaloris Dave too! He wasn't really into tarantulas but he knew I really loved the hobby and would listen to me go on an on about each of my Ts. He referred to them as "arachnids" and would always pause for a couple of seconds before he said the word. LOL! He is afraid of spiders just like I used to be. He never talked negative about them though. I think he was actually impressed and was starting to get interested in them. Anyway, LOVED the video and every T you got (except the DOA sling). Sorry about that one. They are ALL gorgeous and I think this made me want more dwarf Ts. Thanks for another great video!
I now have a green bottle blue named Zoro (until I find out gender) and a Brazilian Black named Onyx (it’s just a baby) you have helped me conquer my fear of spiders this much!
Absolutely gorgeous, all of them. I am grabbing a Suntiger Sling tomorrow. Just grabbed my 2nd Versicolor...hoping now I will have a female and Male.. Anyhow, great video as always!!! Thx for sharing...
this was fun to watch !cute.i don't have any spiders but I respect all creatures...love snakes ball python my fave ..your tarantula cribs are super cool ...n stickers super cute
My first ever tarantula was a Brazilian blue dwarf beauty, dolichothele diamantinensis, and she was amazing. Unfortunately she had a horrible molt a couple years into keeping her and so I never got to see her mature all the way out. Now those beans are so expensive otherwise I’d get another. I have a lot more experience with tarantulas now compared to back then.
H guerilla is awesome, I got three of them, sturdy, Beautiful and eat like Champions, congrats to yours! Love dwarf species, thanks to the size I can always fit them in the collection.
I have a C. Elegans as well and she is also such a walker! They also love to burrow :) I love the dwarf tarantulas, I also have a neoholothele incei, aka the Trinidad gold, and she is so beautiful and literally looks like woven gold after she molts ❤️
Wow I think I just found my Favorite tarantula species!! They not only look gorgeous but I love how they like to explore and looked comfortable to handle... Amazing species truly!!
Hi Kat! I was wondering if I could recommend another cool dwarf species to check out. The Cyclosternum sp Cundimameraca. (Good luck pronouncing it) it's commonly known as the Bolivian orange belly tarantula. I have a female, and she's really cool, and can be sweet sometimes. Totes recommend if you see one available. They also have a gbb style appetite. (Eat everything unless in premolt)
Love dwarf species Soo much!! I have a K brunnipes called Piglet! She stunning and a shy queen! But webs up the enclosure to well! Also love the webbing addition to your arm as fillers, I for sure wanna do the same one day!!
I could have purchased a pumpkin patch T the other dsy, im thinking of going back in 2024 to get it, at the time I came away with a lasiodora parahybana 🕷🕸🖤
I'm looking at the Tarantula Cribs little green Tarantula Collective 3x3x3 cube. Would that be good for a juvenile? I would keep a sling in the vial like you suggested, but I only currently have enclosures appropriate for terrestrial (jumpers). So I'm looking at the small ones.
Hi tarantula kat all I want to say is I love your content and you cannot chewed by fear spiders I still get the heebie-jeebies but somehow I never got scared of jumping spiders cause I always found them kind of cute so in short talk you just got a new fan🎉❤

Dwarf Tarantulas are MY FAVORITE! They are so cute and don’t take up a lot of space which is very important to me.
I'm so in love with the Dwarf species!!!! 😍
Not sure what's cuter, dwarf tarantulas or the way Kat says 'drorf'
DRORF ❤
I came here to find this lol
Dwarf tarantulas are so beautiful and deserve more appreciation.

I love my K brunnipes ☺️ dwarf tarantulas are awesome, but are very overlooked 😢 little spooders need love too ❤❤
the best thing i find with the hexagon ones is you can do them sideways and still have room for burrowing and exploring
