Paddy Considine deserves all the accolades. That walk is like the arrival of the king in episode one of GOT season 1 but sadder which this piece illustrates very well.
From paddy, " From the moment she dies, so does Viserys. It was a love story. That’s the secret I carried with me. As sick as he gets, he never, himself, demands any cure. He quietly accepts his suffering, never forgiving himself for putting his beloved wife through such torture in her final moments. "
This cements the fact that everything he did for Rhaenyra, and the physical torture he suffered willingly, was his own pact for redemption. In hope that, once he found Aemma again, his martyrdoom would grant him her forgiveness. I also believe that Alicent and the offsprings he had with her weren't a choice made purely out of duty, but in hope of finding again the happiness he once had with Aemma (and maybe for his obsession with having a male son). But as more time passed, the more Viserys understood that what he once had he wouldn't be able to find again, ever.
The melancholic and triumphant return of the "royal motiff", first heard all the way back when Robert visited Winterfell, at Joffrey and Tommen's coronations and when Daenerys and her armies arrived in the North. Now, Ramin brilliantly revisits this theme to highlight Viserys and his last stand, masterful performance by Paddy Considine!
It was in the beginning of the show too. During jaeharys’ great council. When he proclaims viserys as prince of dragonstone and heir to the iron throne.
I'm not a music expert but I feel there is a connection to the targaryen theme and actually hear similar instruments he used in the iron throne when dany died.
and during Aegon II Targaryen's coronation there are people on trumpets who announce his arrival who also play a version of the "royal motif" as Dan said, it originated from when Robert visited Winterfell, the track is called "the kings arrival" if anybody is interested
On the third day of the third moon of 129 AC, Princess Helaena brought her three children to visit with the king in his chambers. The twins, Jaehaerys and Jaehaera, were six years old, their brother Maelor only two. His Grace gave the babe a pearl ring off his finger to play with, and told the twins the story of how their great-great grandsire and namesake Jaehaerys had flown his dragon north to the Wall to defeat a vast host of wildlings, giants, and wargs. Though the children had heard the story a dozen times before, they listened attentively. Afterward the king sent them away, pleading weariness and a tightness in his chest. Then Viserys of House Targaryen, the First of His Name, King of the Andals, the Rhoynar, and the First Men, Lord of the Seven Kingdoms, and Protector of the Realm, closed his eyes and went to sleep. He never woke. He was fifty-two years old, and had reigned over most of Westeros for twenty-six years. *Then the storm broke, and the dragons danced.*
This song skyrocketed the scene into the stratosphere! The feeling of majesty combined with a bitter and tragic feeling. It shows Viserys truly had the potential to be great if fate was kinder to him.

2:17 a dying sun, struggling, but determined to shine… one last time.
1:47 “I will sit the throne today”
Absolutely stellar from Ramin, as always
It was at his weakest that King Viserys showed his greatest strength, the old dragon can still roar one last time
Every time I hear this, I feel like I'm in court, on the side of Team Black bowing to King Viserys entering the hall one last time! What a majestic soundtrack!!! It arouses so many emotions at the same time. Ramni Djawadi, we thank you & respect your hard work! Hail, my King Viserys I Targaryen: The Peaceful & above all, a loving father... 🙏
Viserys the peaceful ❤️ and his only child the Realm's Delight ☀️🌞
I got goose bumps from the MUSIC, and the King showing his "Che" for his daughter! Very powerful scene. Embracing, the love for family!
EPIC Chit here Man. 👀🙌

Our KING!!!
"The King's Arrival" :,)
The best king in the show
One of the most powerful scenes in the entire ice and fire saga
The Old Dragon roared one last time. RIP King Viserys
Filled with tragic majesty and the weight of the burden that is the Iron Throne.
