damn it Ramin and the Starks, please dont make us cry, i watched the ending 20 times today, listening the music now, but can't stop my tears. Long may the GameOfThrones reign!
Nobody mentioned Drogon... Such a strong, powerful, intelligent and emotional creature on the one side and so sensitive and fragile on the other side. At the very end when his mother died he did not punish Jon. He knew what Daenerys did to the people of kings landing was wrong. At least he burns down the reason for all that tragedy and took care of the last ride of his mother... Great scene. It makes me cry... And I can't thank you enough Ramin Djawadi for your gifts to us. You are one of our greatest artists this time.
Now let’s talk about if Drogon fried Jon Dany said at the beginning that real Targaryen never burn Do you think Jon would have survived and just be... naked in front of Drogon
To the king in the south To the queen in the north To the queen of the new undiscovered land To the king beyond the wall To the wolves To the starks Long may they reign The pack survived
The pure genius of Ramin is that he reworks themes, this one is a masterpiece of reworked themes so you only hear that one time in the whole show as it is here. And yep it gives chills
It was emotional, it may have been the greatest thing on tv, it was the most global show we have experienced so far touching everyone everywhere on Earth. Especially because it is so divisive, the fact that so many people react negatively to it proves to me that yes, somehow that this was the best ending for each character possible. After all, Martin gave them these endings. It makes sense, pathetic sense, bittersweet sense, predictable sense. It is mastered storytelling.
@@nolevique Has nothing to do with fan theories. It's about how rushed and incredibly contrived a whole lot of the past few episodes felt. Dany's entire descent into "madness" happend in the span of barely an hour or two of screentime. Rather than show it to us and let it develop, it's getting forced as a plot through other characters. Not to mention the finale itself hardly felt like it gave closure to anything Bran somehow ending up as king even though he'd explicity said before he could never be the lord or didn't want to be lord of anything.
Totally agree, my only complaint is not seeing Jon recognized and celebrated for all his selflessness and sacrifices. I'm not ok with that, but at least he was reunited with his True companions Ghost and Tormund.
House stark, the winners of the great game. Winter came for all the other houses, but when winter comes only the wolves will howl. THE LONE WOLF DIES, BUT THE PACK SURVIVES
@Captain Lazypants I don't get it how you still do not understand. This is clearly symbolism, mate. The stark kids grew up and found their own pack, you do know they're actual humans right and don't really look down on others like Lannisters often did.
U forgot the first part “When winter comes...the lone wolf dies but the pack survives” it’s not winter anymore so I think they’re safe lol in my opinion
@Captain Lazypants Yes while they were cubs. They aren't cubs anymore. They're young alpha wolves leaving the next to form their own pack. Deal with it.
I'm so happy that the Stark kids got what they deserved. Sansa wanted to be the lady, and she got to be queen. Arya wanted to be free, and now she's sailing the world. Jon just wanted a simple life of duty, ranging beyond the wall, and now he's there, amonst wildlings, the only people who didn't give a toss if he was Snow, Stark or Targaryen. I can live with that ending.
Him ranging beyond the wall is pointless. The wildlings aren't a threat and the white walkers are all gone for good. The nights watch serves no purpose now...
@@vxmphoon No he won't Jon killing Danny unfairly becoming queen Slayer and also letting Danny massacred a city. Sansa being an oath breaker by telling a secret which his brother shared with her because of his trust in her. Arya not supporting her family in the hour of needs and only thinking about revenge. Bran smoking weeds !
This song really touches me, it's like I can feel the feelings of the Starks. It's like the song describing the whole journey of each of them. Thank you for this masterpiece, Ramin Djawadi.
When sansa already has the crown on her head, arya's leitmotif is playing. It's so spectacular and epic. It chills me that it was mixed stark's theme, arya's leitmotif and game of thrones soundtrack.
3:12-3:38 is heavenly! Masterfully done the way it melds the main theme with the winterfell them with Arya's house of black theme. Fucking perfection, gives me chills everytime
Jon Snow really is the true protector of the realm. Served the nightwatch. United wildings and the North. Became the King in the North. Faught with the whitewalkers and saved the realm. Chose duty over love in the end. Now he is where he always belonged. I was so happy to see him smiling reuniting with Ghost. I wouldn't have asked for a better ending than this.
Dani. and he helped Dany by breaking the wheel of the Westeros’ Monarchy system. The wheel was indeed broken, but in a way that no one could’ve expected. A truly poetic ending to one of the greatest series ever made
@@justme7625 Dany and Jon were both young fools, who dreamt of grand ideals that were ultimately childish fantasies. Their pursuit of those ideas got a lot of people killed, and ended up destroying both of them in the end. Dany became an egomaniac, Jon was clearly bitterly depressed and lacking any real agency over his life. ...but they did the impossible. They broke the wheel, they stopped the dead, freed slaves, befriended the wildlings and became figures of legend. And the world is a better place because of them. Ultimately both ended up back where they truly belonged. Dany back in Essos, Jon beyond the wall. It feels like the best possible place for them at this point. Nothing good would have come of them remaining in Westeros.
I really like the fact that the Stark theme is in a minor key during all seasons and downwards. Except in the end, here, when the motiff is suddenly going upwards and in a major key
House Stark: Survivors of The Long Night. Victors of The War of Five Kings. Winners of The Game of Thrones. Conquerors of Uncharted Territories. When the white winds blow and the snows fall, the lone wolf dies but the pack survives; Winter came. The North Remembered. There is a Stark in Winterfell. The North is an Independent Kingdom. There is a Stark on a two-wheeled Throne. There is a Stark Beyond The Wall. The children of House Stark completely destroyed those who harmed their parents and family - Ned and Cat would be proud. To the Queen in the North! To the King in the South! To the King Beyond The Wall! To the Queen West of Westeros! To House Stark, and those who fell along the way! LONG MAY THEY REIGN!

He just replaced his father as the most honourable man who ever lived in the seven kingdoms! Irrespective of his birth right as a targareyn and his upbringing as a stark, he chose to be with the wildlings despite being a high-born. That walk with pure satisfaction in his smile and humbleness in his eyes says it all! ❤️ He will be the king wherever he is, as always chosen by his own people❤️

@@victoriacecilia3926 I know that there are more Lannisters in the books but in the show every Lannister who was mentioned or shown is dead...only Tyrion survived. Also when all remaining leaders decided what to do next, there were no other Lanisrers present. So in the show there are no more.
@SmallmoneyYT Jon, Sansa and Arya can have children, if they wish. Sansa out ranks any male if she marries and she can give the Stark name to her children.
These notes resonate in my head and in the world, like a melancholy song rising in the long night, fighting the misfortunes of the world . This song means the renewal of the world, a song rising into the sky, bringing back the sun and tears of joy... This song is hope. .. The hope of a new and happy world, and hope is created by dreamers, shaping the world of their thoughts ... join the dreamers and save the world ... through hope and thought nothing is impossible! FOR THE NORTH
"Darkness lay over the world and a hero, Azor Ahai, was chosen to fight against it. To fight the darkness, Azor Ahai needed to forge a hero's sword. He labored for thirty days and thirty nights until it was done. However, when he went to temper it in water, the sword broke. He was not one to give up easily, so he started over. " Jon wanted to save the world from the dead. First, he united mankind against the White Walkers - Wildlings, the North, and Dany’s army. He plunged his army into the white walkers (ice a.k.a. water). But the Long Night was not over. The world was not saved; a great threat still held the world in its clutches. So at the head of his new army, he drove South. "The second time he took fifty days and fifty nights to make the sword, even better than the first. To temper it this time, he captured a lion and drove the sword into its heart, but once more the steel shattered. " Cersei, the lion. Jon drove the new army he had united straight into the heart of the lion, but the world was not saved, for the peace shattered as Dany prepared to usher in a new age of war and conquest. The Long Night was just beginning. "The third time, with a heavy heart, for he knew beforehand what he must do to finish the blade, he worked for a hundred days and nights until it was finished. This time, he called for his wife, Nissa Nissa, and asked her to bare her breast. He drove his sword into her living heart, her soul combining with the steel of the sword, creating Lightbringer, the Red Sword of Heroes. Her blood, soul, strength, and courage went into the steel of the sword, creating Lightbringer. Following this sacrifice, Lightbringer was as warm as Nissa Nissa had been in life. " Devastated, Jon knew what he had to do. He drew close his lover and asked her to bear her heart to him, her love. Then in despair, he stabbed his sword into her breast. Dany inspired thousands. Through all the inspiration that her blood, soul, strength and courage had poured into her conquest, her dream to break the wheel, he forged Lightbringer, the New Era of peace in the kingdom, freeing the world from the Long Night of war, death, and destruction. "Once Azor Ahai fought a monster. When he thrust his sword through the belly of the beast its blood began to boil. Smoke and steam poured from its mouth, its eyes melted and dribbled down its cheeks and its body burst into flame." Perhaps the Iron Throne was in fact the monster; it represented the Wheel. The system of rule by right of birth - the Iron Throne. And with Jon’s final thrust, and he caused Drogon to burn the Iron Throne, melting it away, and the old system with it. A new system of the kingdom choosing its ruler began, perhaps a new era of peace and prosperity. "Some say the world will end in fire, Some say in ice. " His story represents true heroism, total sacrifice for the greater good: giving up his family, his friends, his lovers, his own life, his claim to the throne, and his only reward was exile. Jon was the true Prince, the rightful heir to the throne, but he could not be King. He did, however, unite the world in the war for the dawn, saving mankind from the Long Night of destruction by Ice or by Fire. Jon Snow is Azor Ahai.

What an emotional ending to the greatest thing on television.
It's a nice song but the ending was shit.

Not to mention the finale itself hardly felt like it gave closure to anything

He is Ned Stark son that's why he is a good man.

They all became alphas and will lead their own pack.
@Captain Lazypants
Basically. Alphas build their own packs. That's what the Starks kids did.
@Captain Lazypants
I don't get it how you still do not understand.
@Captain Lazypants
Yes while they were cubs. They aren't cubs anymore. They're young alpha wolves leaving the next to form their own pack.
Deal with it.
The fact that Main theme and Starks' theme are being integrated defines Starks being Game of Thrones.
GoT started with them and ended with them.
@@justme7625 Dany and Jon were both young fools, who dreamt of grand ideals that were ultimately childish fantasies. Their pursuit of those ideas got a lot of people killed, and ended up destroying both of them in the end. ...but they did the impossible. They broke the wheel, they stopped the dead, freed slaves, befriended the wildlings and became figures of legend. And the world is a better place because of them.

It’s oddly satisfying hearing the House Stark theme sound triumphant rather than sorrowful
That sound always reminds me of Ned. He was such a pure soul. I really miss him!!!
"
Jon wanted to save the world from the dead.
"
Cersei, the lion.
"
Devastated, Jon knew what he had to do.
Smoke and steam poured from its mouth, its eyes melted and dribbled down its cheeks and its body burst into flame."
Perhaps the Iron Throne was in fact the monster; it represented the Wheel.
"
His story represents true heroism, total sacrifice for the greater good: giving up his family, his friends, his lovers, his own life, his claim to the throne, and his only reward was exile. Jon was the true Prince, the rightful heir to the throne, but he could not be King. He did, however, unite the world in the war for the dawn, saving mankind from the Long Night of destruction by Ice or by Fire. Jon Snow is Azor Ahai.

It was the improved version of the one played during the naming of JON as the KING IN THE NORTH, most powerful and stirring, pure joy of satisfaction, pride and happiness❤️ Bet no matter whether we see it with the scenes or just listening to track alone, it would just bring up tears every single time. Wish it was played during crowning of ROBB as well!
@@sunehriranawat3188 Also listen to the score when Jon looks at the gates of the wall getting closed and walks into the jungle with a smile
That moment was joyful nd sad at the same time
@@Randomcommentorishere Yes, that composition was the true experience of feeling that absolute essence of the BITTERSWEET ending we were promised to get! (For Jon). Kit with his rugged look and expressions really gave that moment it's life. Every little piece of theme played while he was walking past the wildlings, reuniting with ghost, getting closer to the gates, leaving it, seeing it close and walking his way to the north beyond the wall, everything was a masterpiece! The editing work they did there is truly amazing!
Cried like a baby when the beat started with the original Game of Thrones music.
I'm literally amazed how it all started with the Starks and ended with it. It is true...
"The Lone Wolf Dies, But the Pack Survives!"
