Having the multiple books being variations on the original, not just empty imitations used as traps is very clever way of explaining the differences occurring throughout the franchise. Well played, sir Side note... Something i was disappointed in with Evil Dead Rise was the promise of the story leaving the woods and the cabin and opening up into a modern urban environment. I certainly don't want another Zombie like film of deadites running through the streets but an intimate story in a city still could have been done. The Evil Dead remake/reboot, was absolutely amazing!! I liked the "sequel?!?" Too. (Evil Dead Rise.) With thar said, focusing JUST on horror was awesome, however, comedy and horror go hand in hand! And the moments of levity help the audience to stay on their toes, and maybe relax for a bit! 😂 You never know when the "evil," is going to strike though, and the comedy can really help the horror, but it's absolutely ALL about the writing. Clever writing, like Sam Raimi's Evil Dead 2, it was a cult classic, and rightly so!! It was perfect, PERFECT! And I don't want a rehash of what's already been done, but the remake knew this, and payed Homage to it's source material, while going hella hard on the horror and gore.! Amazing!! I'd love to follow that story more, while still doing the "spin-offs" and other stories, but following Mia again, after all that went down at that cabin would be amazing! All they have to do is avoid making her a "female' Ash!! Tell Mia's story as she's cursed from the Necronomicon!! Trying to live her life, while being hunted by all manner of beasts, demons and deadites! That has potential to be a great story, with comedy mixed in here and there. It's just a thought, but so far, the "new" Evil Dead stuff has been great!! Just aleays remember, horror NEEDS comedic moments to fool the audience into a false sense of security!! 😂😂 That's just my 2 cents though. Be safe out there folks!!
@dqreps oh man it was pretty great. One of the few shows with a satisfying ending. It was a perfect mix heart-wrenching, you get what you deserve, and holy sh*t
This video has really made my day. 🥳🥳Love the movies and the Tv Series. Was so pissed off when it got cancelled. Such a good show. Ash is just awesome❤.
Absolute Banger of a franchise, I bought Evil Dead 1 at a pawn shop back in 2006, every now and then I watch Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness. Ash v Evil Dead was nice too IMO, also when I saw Evil Dead reference in Jason goes to hell I was hyped, for no reason.
Sam and Bruce actually made the evil dead in college as a short film. It may still be up on UA-cam it was made in the late 70s if I remember correctly. So basically, bruce was always meant to be Ash and it totally worked out. Another thing about the movies from 1-2, they had to basically remake 1 but make it comedic because they were going through a different production company.
I wanted to add this is most likely wh the "different universe" thing is there. They try to keep it connected but may not be able to include certain due to the different companies making each movie and the show.
Art a deadline makes some sense. There's also Freddy Krueger Jason and pin head from hellraiser are also connected with the necronomicon even Chucky and candyman

Zaffy that’s my favorite movie/tv series 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🔥🔥
I've just finished up a rewatch of the shield and needing another show to watch. I'll give the evil dead show a shot. You seem to have good taste.
What did you think of the shield? that's probably one of my favorite shows ever. Along with the sopranos, breaking bad, the wire, etc.
@dqreps oh man it was pretty great. One of the few shows with a satisfying ending. It was a perfect mix heart-wrenching, you get what you deserve, and holy sh*t
Great channel, great deep dive. Well done🎉
Nice job. Now pleas take a line for me, too and explain to me, where the Priest in Army of Darkness knew the right words to put the book to rest.
This video has really made my day. 🥳🥳Love the movies and the Tv Series. Was so pissed off when it got cancelled. Such a good show. Ash is just awesome❤.
The timeline theory can’t be right the end of two leads into army of darkness and the show talks about army of darkness. They are the same universe
Completely agree with you and I thought they mentioned is was 3 different books. That why each new movie has a book
At first scary movie I watched that scared the crap out of me. I couldn't sleep. Now I can see the comedy. Love this movie,
Thank you dude. Glad someone showing props to THE COOLEST franchise ever. 🤘🏽🤘🏽😈😈🔥🔥❤️❤️😅
I love your breakdowns ! They make me laugh and laughing is great for the soul ❤ 😃
I wanna get "I've done so much cocaine, you have no idea. This is what I live for." tattooed on myself.
Ash is a goat no doubt but Sam is THE goat.. lookin forward to burn notice 🤙
Evil dead burn sounds fxckin ripped😭😭😭🔥
Sam and Bruce have been friends since High School. Ash was written with Bruce in mind...
Your mask not being centered is demonic.
Wanna be bob ross bodied three deadites by him self in creepshow, best epsoide of the creepshow Tv show
I love your theories man and your show will really get me is is if you can tie Bubba Ho-Tep into this
Sam and Bruce actually made the evil dead in college as a short film.
4:18 bur. Notice is my jam
Art a deadline makes some sense. There's also Freddy Krueger Jason and pin head from hellraiser are also connected with the necronomicon even Chucky and candyman
Army of darkness was definitely my favorite but man I loved the classic ones and the new ones was different but great too
I don't miss the nights where I spit the drip out thinking it'd help the high go away lol. I say stick with weed. Pain and anxiety remedy. Coke is 20 mins of high then waiting for another bump. Not worth the cash hahaha.
Diff note great take.
If Liver King took Cocaine instead of steroids, he would be Zaffy.
I really love this franchise as each movie has a different vibe to it and something to like about them. Even the TV show.
