3:58: Glad to see Chadwick and Sargent getting these seats. Jamie had said a few weeks ago she wasn't willing to return to Indy NXT in 2025 and there were no open seats at Andretti for Indy Car. Sargent ran some races in 2021 in the ELMS and Michelin LeMans Cup. This seems like an audition for both of them as candidates for the second WEC car in 2026. There is a world out there beyond single seaters people.
Both of them are super talented and I think are going to shine next year! It was mentioned in an article I saw that they are both considered development drivers for the Genesis!
I LOVE how seriously Genesis is taking this! They really look like they wanna make the Genesis name synonymous with winning like Porsche and Toyota. A lot of development happening and top talent already confirmed to be with the team! They are not here to just get some advertising material of their car on track, they are not to be messed with! Can’t wait to see what comes of this
Some skin in the game! You have a pretty darn strong couple of drivers that are going to be developing that car as well, I'm really excited to see what Hyundai will do!
This has me so hyped!! Seeing Jaime and Logan get rides is great to see! But my only concern with them joining IMSA in 2027 is they will only have 3 years before this set of Regulations ends in 2029 and the next Regulation change starts in 2030
Yeah they’ll have 4 years in WEC and 3 in IMSA which is about the lifespan of a GT3/Evo car these days as well. I think it’s the sweet spot and we could see the regulations extended further depending on how hydrogen is being adopted
Keep in mind that the regulations could still go on beyond 2029, originally they were set to be until 2027, and them got extended to 2029. No reason to think it won't get extended further if the formula stays this successful
@purwantiallan5089 never drove it. I took a break between GT3-GT7. However,my Gr3 RCZ has the 905's livery. It's probably slow shifting as all the Group C still had proper H pattern gearbox. Mostly 5 speed at that.
@@LeeePowers given how the toyota minolta existed in gt4 and gt5 they probably just forgot to give it the quickshift transmission its supposed to have and ported over the f-up to gt5
I’m pretty sure they’re gonna pick orange as their primary color, as it seems to be the main color of Genesis Magma now. Their VGT is orange, plus the magma concept road cars are orange as well. From a marketing standpoint, that would be crucial to establish Magma orange as the “Genesis color” like how Ferraris are red and Cadillacs are yellow
I see you're falling into the trap of saying "ALPEEN" like the French and everyone on Sky Sports says it. Naturally you should start saying Ferrari like the Italians say it... but I bet you don't, because it's just as ridiculous. It's Alpine, like the mountains, it's literally in their logo.
3:16: There has been a lot of social media push back from the "keyboard jockeys" criticizing the selection of Lotterer, as "over the hill", "slow" and such and such. These people don't understand what is needed to get proper feedback on testing a new car. Lotterer, along with Dorani will be the test drivers in 2025. And even if he is "slow", it doesn't matter in the first season on the grid going against teams that already have track data records and knowledge of how to use the tires. Whether it is Andre Lotterer, Kevin Este or Max Verstappen at the wheel, it is going to run at the back half of the field as we have seen with the BMWs, Alpines, Lambos and, Peugeots.

I reallly hope they put this engine note as a selectable option in their N line EVs. It'd be so rad.

Genesis could shake up WEC big time.
that's cool that IDEC is going to help out with the ELMS effort. They are very good team.
Yeah a strong team and a good one to help get a crew up to speed!
IDEC will fight till the end for 2025 LMGT3 ELMS title.
Very good. Like the Andretti Walkinshaw V8 Supercar.
Looks very cool, like the design. Look forward to see when they go testing.
Genesis LMDh is like RB17 + 499P on the front end + Audi R18 TDI on the back.
ŔB17 looks fractionally better.
Good to see you have a car running in the VSCA. See you on track!
Yup I will be running a few races! Good luck this season!
SO EXCITED for Genesis, Hyundai and South Korea. FINALLY!
Can't wait for the official livery of the car to be revealed
Me too! Sounds like it could have some orange which would add some new colour to the top class grid!
The livery of 2026 Genesis LMDh expected to have Yuu Takasaki & Lanzhu Zhong with Genesis badge on it.
As a Hyundai Tech and Endurance/Sportscar racing freak. Safe to say I'm pumped and finally have an official team/manufacturer to root for!

Genesis joining WEC could be a big sign to come.
Reminds me of the Peugeot 905 of the early 90s,especially the "bubble-ness" of the cockpit.
The Peugeot 905 also best known to have slow gear shifting when playing GT4 or 5.😅

I have to laugh at the confirmation. I knew it was an oreca the second I saw the crash structure portion of that nose.
You saying this is inferring news to me: that Oreca apparently have a signature appearance for their crash structures.
This is fantastic news. I'm hoping they pick a fun colour because Genesis look better in any other colour than Boring Black, Silver or White.

Ill put money on the engine being some evolution of the 3.3 turbo-6 they're so fond of now
Yeah I’d guess it’s similar to that as well!
Same. They don’t seem interested in anything above 6 cylinders, which is fine! We got plenty of v8s on track anyway lol, it adds to the diversity.

Very unique and its considered to be 2nd best looking car in 2026 IMSA lineup.
