Nostalgic Vibes... DBZ Raging Blast 2 will always be one of my favourite DBZ games to play, especially from the Modern Era of DBZ games, the gameplay it's really exceptional and addictive in my opinion... ☯️🤷🏻♂️👌
FighterZ, Budokai Teknaichi 3 and Raging Blast 2 are goated games for sure. When I get everything up and running and start streaming you KNOW I'll be streaming this bad boy.
This game was literally perfect. All it needed was GT and super characters. I loved the cancel system. Combo diversity. Transformations. Super attacks, Team attacks, Counter attacks, dashes. Omg truly the best. Also Raging Soul combos was so smooth. much better than sparking mode from Db Sparking Zero
By using enhancer items that lessened ki cost for moves, an infinite could be done with SSJ/SSJ2 goku and super perfect cell with instant transmission after a knockback. Meta cooler strangely wasn't able to do it, but I forget why. Nappa also had a move that could be looped infinitely with lessened ki cost, since it could be activated before another character could fly to you and locked on with a huge area. Instant transmission was the literal only counter.
Raging Blast 2 took me a long time to find for the PS3 at the time, since no store in my country seemed to have it until I saw one guy reselling his copy. This game has the best combat and details when it comes to fighting damage in my opinion. Asides from not having a story mode and having the inferior version of the movie, everything else felt so good in it.
There are 2 versions of this game. The first release had just a completely different soundtrack, the second release got the Tenkaichi 2 Soundtrack, just because of the plagiarism scandal.
A good memory of mine from my teenage years was holding a raging blast 2 tourney at my house. All characters allowed but if you weren’t a gamer you were allowed to use the custom characters. I came in second with the little white guy (forgot how to spell his name) and my friends gf came in first because she got to use my custom built Goku who had flinch immunity. Good times…
Absolutely love this game it was the first db content I ever consumed and it was fun as hell would play this game for hours but recently I prefer bt2 for it's superior music, story and cast with GT and OG dragon ball characters
DBRB2 has some super fucking broken characters and glitches. SSJ Goten can infinite spam on his ground grab-n-throw. LSSJ Broly's explosive wave is inescapable when spammed. ROSAT SSJ Trunks can infinite combo with a cancelation of one of his super attacks, same with Ultimate Gohan. Hatchiyack, Burter, Frieza (Final Form), and Mecha Frieza all have infinite combos with their signature attacks (O) button on PS3. Super Perfect Cell has a glitch that allows him to slide in across the map to continue string combos. Majin Vegeta a very well, lesser-known glitch, in which case you utilize is combo mode (forget the name of the pink bar mode off the top of my head) that if he is struck in a specific way, you can spam a fully charged triangle button ki blast, followed up with a punch and do 999,999 damage and one-shot any opponent in the game - it is a very precise glitch, but it's super fucking broken if you can master it; I definitely used it a lot online with spammers. The most infamous of spam glitches in DBRB2 is the rising ki glitch - you go for a full-powered punch. As soon as the screen cuts to your character, you use ki rising to dragon rush right behind the opponent, and because the way the camera angles on your character during a fully charged punch it causes them to automatically guard and the you can break their guard from behind them. Rinse and repeat, and it's stupid fucking broken. Yeah... I've spent well over 1,000 hours in ranked matches - hence the 69 in my name being in referende to my world rank at the time on PS3 as an S-ranked player.
@@noctsickversusTOBETOLD I know most of these. I forgot about the ki teleport glitch! However, I also never figured out how to do the ki slide glitch with Ultimate Gohan and Perfect Cell.

I want SparkingZero to be for everyone, that welcomes both old and new. Like for example, I both like and dislike clashes, like cause it feels more like DBZ but dislike cause it just feels impossible against a AI that can do 100 within second when in highest difficulty and can also be unfair if you are a better skilled fighter but your opponent is better buttonmasher, so having a on/off for that would be nice that way it's up to the player how they want to play the game. I like hard game but not when it's impossible hard even for best players, and I don't want it to be easy even on hardest difficulty like Naruto Storm games either. Lol XD And maybe add what's good on Raging Blast 2 and use them rather than only Budokai, like Raging Blast 2 had a more customizable skills for example and Raging Blast 1 have my favorite UI in DB games. I do like Budokai Tenkaichi 3 story more than Raging Blast 2, but I do like Raging Blast 1 story more instead, they removed them in Raging Blast 2 for some reason. I like how you can block up and down in Budokai Tenkaichi 3 kinda like 2D games which is unheard of in 3D arena so it felt more traditional (I haven't played Raging Blast in so long so I apologize if I remembered that wrong), while Raging Blast 2 had more ways of dodging attacks if I recall.
There is no specific rank here, just an objective list from glitches and combos: ROSAT SSJ Trunks Ultimate Gohan Final Form/Mecha Frieza (similar movesets) Super Perfect Cell Burter Super Gogeta LSSJ Broly SSJ Goten Hatchiyack SSJ3 Goku
the bots in this game were stupid as hell, i wanted to give myself a challenge boosting all of them the right ways, and giving them restrictions like ki charging, you make it so they cant go in to blue ki or charge, they will sit there charging forever, i left for a few hours with me forcing the controller in movement so it wouldnt shut down, came back and the bot was still charging
Hm... it's strange to me that Mecha-Frieza and Meta-Cooler worked like androids in BT in the way they couldn't charge normally but they could here... I like it better here, but that change caught me off guard going back to BT3 where I didn't play as them often...
@@FriezaDBZKing69 It was, but I still found it weird. I wonder what they'll do to him in SZ. Lock on Buster was also changed to a rush/chase super attack, which I thought was better. lol
I really enjoyed in the time I was still playing the ps3. definitely one of the best pure combat games mechanically and I might be alone in liking the galaxy mode over including the original story, it shows more focus on putting in content and you could often choose your own route to take... until you're forced to fight a saiberman to get to something much better behind it. if I remember correctly not every character had a galaxy mode but for most of them once they were unlocked you could usually play their galaxy and earn their transformations xenoverse kind of stepped back on mechanics, it focused more on getting more fighters in the levels, the online aspect and a new twist on the story, oh and of course giving the custom character access to nearly every special attack in the game
The only reason I don't have a copy anymore is that i got rid of my 360 & every game I had for it long ago. Do have a PS 3 copy coming in this week so i can play this great game again.
To be fair the movement have some heavy limitations , characters are to slow at moving when close to a charachter and also they don't have a dash (no ki related) like in tenkaichi 3. Tenkaichi 3 is just that good.

My favorite db game bt3 is only more popular due to the big roster but gameplay and control wise rb2 is simply superior it has the most precise controls and gameplay
I still have most of my issues with this game i had with Raging Blast. The lack of pre and post Z characters, the beams look lame and the characters look less like the anime in terms of the auras, action pieces and color schemes compared to the Tenkaichi series. It is not like they didn't try. They tried to make the characters more unique with new Supers like Vegeta in Base form Boo Saga using that move he killed Puipui with, but that brings me to the point that some moves are too slow with pointless cinematics. Some transformations also take too long. If it weren't for most of these issues, I might have gotten this game just to play 14, 15 and Hatchiyack as they are characters I know and would like to play as.
RB2 made me rage. Cause of one simple reason. Defeating the opponent WITH NO FCKING HEALTH. WHICH THEY DO NOT TELL YOU. WHERE YOU GET THE SPECIFIC ITEM TO REMEDY IT. and most of the time it doesn’t even work
