Best way to farm zeni is to repeat the ss goku vs full power freeza on destroyed planet namek fight in the freeza saga. U get 300k every time. Just turn down the difficulty to defeat freeza quicker and easier.
Fusing mid-battle actually isn't useless though. If you fuse right away, you only get a full health bar but fusing later essentially gives you another full character. Tack on the fact some characters gain buffs, ki or health when transforming as well, and you have a pretty cohesive strategy.
Ads have stopped me from replying to you 3 times now. This is my final attempt to tell this fusion secret. The items on your fusing characters will stack on your new fusion character. For instance if you have dendes healing or blast damage 3 on goku and vegeta, then fuse, If you had 2 dendes then your recovered health is more. 2 blast damage 3s, you deal extra damage.
I know this was in the older games but I tested this with super saiyan and fusion and didn't see a difference so I'm curious to know where you guys are getting this
@FlaccidFella it's no different than picking the characters in character select. But the fused character is much stronger than the base character. The only major benefits to fusing mid battle are: 1. Your new character is much stronger than the one you were just using with a new skill set. Meaning battle dynamic can shift greatly. 2. You get 10 items stacked instead of the base 5 items any given character can have. 3. You have more options in general for strategy and play style.
@@bsg8761 2 and 3 I get but 1 is what I specifically tested for and didn't see any difference in damage numbers regarding melee or blasts or defence and no extra health either
@FlaccidFella do you mean you're comparing numbers between say gokus damage, fusing then getting the same damage as say gogeta? Or are you comparing picking gogeta to spawn with vs fusing into him mid battle.? If the latter then there is no difference between them in this game. Same as transformations. However gogetas stats and damage should be higher than gokus
The biggest one to me is to shut off most of the “assist” settings. It overrides what you want to do and can REALLY mess you up. Makes it even worse since some of the story CPUs are insane with their constant countering.

As far as fusion, that mechanic can be super good if you actually use it strategically. You fight until one persons health is low on your team like goku, then swap to his fusion partner vegeta. Fight with him until he starts getting lower on health while having your special things (the number that sits under your ki gauge) high enough to fuse that will give the fusion a stat boost while also having the benefit of having your health be reset in a way. You get the full fusion health which essentially makes it so you have a bonus character with little downside.
Zeni is almost always better unless you want some of the exclusive titles. Broly’s ring seems to be exclusive too unless it’s hidden in a custom battle somewhere
12:01 The only way to get out of a combo to the back is the supercounter(The one where you hold up on your joystick and hit square on PS or X on Xbox)! Revenge counters only work when you're getting attacked from the front.
@@carsonreyes9631 No, you have to press/move them at the same time. BUT you can spam them. Some people believe that if you miss it you're done. Nah just spam them and you will get counter sooner or later.
@TheLukanas17 yeah, and that makes fast attacking characters kinda terrible at keeping strings going, because it's easier to land it by just spamming. At least the attack it does afterwards is easily z countered, so it just becomes a rhythm game after that.
Yes. Fusion does have a benefit. You regain health and the fusion is stronger than they would be if you just picked them from the character select screen
I didn't know about the Sparking Episodes, that's pretty cool. I hope it doesn't take long for a guide for all of them to appear online, beating Raditz really fast was something I was kinda trying to do but figured it wouldn't make a difference since I thought all the story divergences were more or less obvious, but now I know things aren't that simple
They usually are just the opposite of what you had to do for the other path. Example Frieza you have to beat him with the spirit bomb for one path, the other path, don't use the spirit bomb. Raditz, it's survive, the other options are die or actually reduce his health to zero. (dieing doesn't work btw, but just mentioned it as trial and error) There's at least one that is somewhat bugged, one path you need to beat jeice, the canon path is you best burter, but he doesn't join the fight on normal for some reason, so as it's the main path, you can lower difficulty and it will force the canon path.
The easiest way to find out them is to check the battle conditions of the battles. There will be a bonus objective that will tell what to do. I think you need to clear the episode before the objective actually shows, but other than that, it's pretty straight forward
You CAN stop an opponent from hitting you in the back repeatedly. Even without any energy...you're taught that pressing up and square (not sure about Xbox) when an attack hits can interfere with combo's. This works with back attacks too 👍🏾
Just played. Haven't played since the ps2 era. My brother set it on the hardest difficulty without telling me at first. I can confirm, muscle memory will kick in and help A LOT
In budokai tenkaichi 3 I remember you just had to crash into random buildings in certain stages and a dragon ball would just drop randomly. I remember finding this out from the campaign by chance, then collecting all seven to get new characters (I think future trunks was one of them). It feels really magical to come across stuff like this without a guide.
Erm AKSHULLY you can’t go sparking right away. 🤓☝🏻. Gota wait till you have at least ONE skill stock. Regardless yeah sparking mode is an easy way to cheese fights. And necessary for some of those strict timed alt objectives.
@@boredape1986 wait really? Tbh I felt stupid when he noted that you could “use items on characters and it’ll work even in story”. I have just ROUGHED it. 😭
@@KingOfhearts72 Nah you can't use capsules in the story mode. You can use them in offline tournaments and stuff, but the capsules have zero impact on story mode.
BIG TIP FOR ABILITY ITEMS: When selecting an ability item, you can press Square/X to create presets, which will save you a ton of time selecting each one manually
Another tip that wasn't mentioned about vanishing within your combos. Vanishing at any point gives your opponent the opportunity to vanish as well. Essentially they are countering YOUR vanish. I believe it was briefly mentioned in training, you might not catch it. Try to mix your vanishes up, or else your opponent will read you and counter you easily. You will find yourself getting into vanish battles, and then it becomes a test of attrition, and your thumbs (if you play on classic) will hate you.
Revenge Counter can't actually get you out of a back combo, Super counter does (up + square), but you gotta time your super counter for when the enemy hit lands
Almost all fights if you beat or get their hp low in less than 30 seconds something changes, like vegeta VS trunks, trunks don't want to show vegeta his new form because he thinks vegeta will be mad, but if you absolutely fuck him up he ends up using it and they improve so when cell battle comes vegeta goes ssj2, it's always 30 seconds to 2 minutes depending on the fight
Tip. Go into training and master the *Super Counter*and *Z counter*. Mastering these will make your story mode experience so much less frustrating. Good luck and good fight!
I love that some of us would already know these tips, but it’s because of a different Dragon Ball game (Raging Blast 1 & 2). It’s good to be back! 🍻🍻 Xenoverse and Kakarot were not the same, but this game is.
Gohan’s first episode battle is also a great zeni 300k farm, it’s much more accessible for those who aren’t really past namek for goku’s saga. Hope this helps!
i want to point out, that with the Square x^n and end on Triangle combo is a thing, theres also the directional triangle that you can use, like Knock the feet of the ground OR, Kick them in the air and then follow them with another combo. Just for those who are unfamiliar with the game. ;)
12:02 - one correction: The only way to break a combo from the back is not the revenge counter, it's the super counter (up+square/up+X depending on your controller). The super counter doesn't use any resources, but it requires extremely accurate timing which makes combos from the back still much harder to counter than from the front. All the other counters (including the revenge counter) don't work from the back.
2:11 for those who may have also noticed but don't know, the reason his blue ki doesn't charge here when the yellow ki is fully charged is because you need to have at least 1 of those (forgot the name) blue ability points to be able to charge blue ki and enter sparking mode
Fusing also heals you so it's extremely useful to fuse right before one or both of your unfused characters are low on health. Fusing essentially gives you an entire free character if you can pull the fusion off late enough
I never watched the show, or played the original games. I don't play fighting games either so this isn't for me. That said, I love that this came out. Fans seem to be loving it, so well done Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero.
Don’t feel bad falcon, my buddy pronounced chocobo as “kah-ko-bow” and that’s how I learned how to say it since he introduced me to FF6 in middle school. It took me a long time to get it right. Same with calling Locke “Loki”
12:15 you can use Z- Counter if they knock you back and end up behind you as well as super counter, which is hard to learn the timing for, but it is super useful in most situations. You can even use super counter when your opponent is starting their combo string and teleports to your back to deal more damage and prevent most defensive options. If you learn super counter, it will help more than you realize. This game is absolutely amazing and I will agree the difficulty has not changed, if anything slightly harder. I have played every tenkaichi and all that was needed was to learn a few new defensive moves and break off the rust for the combos. It's been nothing short of amazing. Only had issues with one fight so far in the story and that was Frieza on Goku's story. I tried playing without learning the new defensive moves and without breaking off combo rust. Decided alright, I guess we should learn them now. Gave myself an hour of practice on timing and smooth sailing since. I've been playing since 10/7, and tonight, I'm gonna see how everyone plays online with ranked. I'm curious to see how it's going with everys complaints of it being too hard.
fusing in the middle of a fight is a clutch move if both your fusable characters are low health, as it basically gives you another full health character that's stronger than either of the other two
For the sparking episodes, you will see on the quest a green arrow, click on that event to start then when in the fighting mode press start and go to battle details will give you the alternative objective to do 😊
Quick note. You don't have to use a revenge counter to get someone off your back. You can use a super counter to do so if you time it correctly, making it a lot less costly to avoid getting a long string of attack on you back.
Just a trick for the Ape : Charge your ki, put around 10m between you and the Ape, Once he throws a Blast, evade right with X (or A on Xbox) Throw yours Rinse and Repeat, enjoy.
15:00 you can also use the fusions as away to get a new character with health. If your Goku is low on health and same to Vegeta, when they fuse will create a Gogeta/ Vegito with full health. Sacrifice one character that has done their purpose to have a stronger one
It does tell you how to unlock the Sparking Episode routes. When you're on the episode that shows the split routes. Pause the game and look in Battle Details and there will be Alternate Objective.

@TheLukanas17 yeah, and that makes fast attacking characters kinda terrible at keeping strings going, because it's easier to land it by just spamming. At least the attack it does afterwards is easily z countered, so it just becomes a rhythm game after that.
its so nice to give flacon positive videos where he enjoys a game and not another negative related one
Revenge counter doesn’t work on back combos. It’s the Super Counter that does.
Content has been valid, I will respect your gogeta pronunciation
0:55 the "zen-OHH's order" killed me 😂
Yea Goku calling him Zeni kind of annoys me I'm ngl😅
Yes. Fusion does have a benefit. You regain health and the fusion is stronger than they would be if you just picked them from the character select screen
I'm watching this while sick and that Mr. Garrison impression had me laughing so hard it threw me into a coughing fit. Good work Falcon. 😂
(dieing doesn't work btw, but just mentioned it as trial and error)
There's at least one that is somewhat bugged, one path you need to beat jeice, the canon path is you best burter, but he doesn't join the fight on normal for some reason, so as it's the main path, you can lower difficulty and it will force the canon path.
@@SifArtorias holy moly, so this is what happened to the Jeice/ Burter fight. I was so confused I got the alternate path by default
The easiest way to find out them is to check the battle conditions of the battles. There will be a bonus objective that will tell what to do. I think you need to clear the episode before the objective actually shows, but other than that, it's pretty straight forward
Just got a PS5 and sparking zero, I'm happy as can be lolz.

Localization gave zoomer lingo to Goten and trunks.
ex. Young Trunks: "No cap"
don't forget they've always spoken in lingo, bt3 had "peanut butter jelly time"
@@realscrumpusyeah idk why people are worried about that, it's not skibidi rizz sigma gyatt...that would be dumb. No cap is harmless
Localizers and westoids are cancer to gaming industry
@T03L3G should've just kept cringe zoomer lingo out of the game
@@bvchhdhkbhnbjgg3314yall must be really old if you actually say Zoomer
Was playing all night, and still learned alot from this video. Thank you
This game hard af against the computer 😂, that’s something they dont tell you
Get gud
Facts basic understanding of sparking and the different counters/vanishes etc will get you far in story. @@Burgervfx
@@Burgervfx
I’m trying 😂 I think I will, game just came out
Vegeta ape was giving me that work
@Burgervfx nothing screams im a 12 year old more man 😅
Greay video bird guy!
You CAN stop an opponent from hitting you in the back repeatedly. Even without any energy...you're taught that pressing up and square (not sure about Xbox) when an attack hits can interfere with combo's. This works with back attacks too 👍🏾
The counter from BT3 works here too?
Imma buy this game right now
Just played. Haven't played since the ps2 era. My brother set it on the hardest difficulty without telling me at first. I can confirm, muscle memory will kick in and help A LOT
I swear, Falcon's the only one that doesn't care about bloopers, outtakes and long rambles and GOD is it hilarious
6:19 doesn't matter how fast I am. I can't get the sparking episode on the raditz fight.
Under 60 secs🎉
Falcon made me laugh a few times here. Thanks for the great vids. Picked this game up yesterday. Struggling to beat Great Ape Vegeta 😅
Erm AKSHULLY you can’t go sparking right away. 🤓☝🏻. Gota wait till you have at least ONE skill stock. Regardless yeah sparking mode is an easy way to cheese fights. And necessary for some of those strict timed alt objectives.
There is an item that allows sparking at the beginning of a match
@@boredape1986 wait really? Tbh I felt stupid when he noted that you could “use items on characters and it’ll work even in story”. I have just ROUGHED it. 😭
@@KingOfhearts72 Nah you can't use capsules in the story mode. You can use them in offline tournaments and stuff, but the capsules have zero impact on story mode.
@@CatfishBradley lol yeah I just checked it out. Hate how it keeps going around that you “can”.
Being in Florida with no power right now is the only thing stopping me from getting this game. Thanks Milton.
BIG TIP FOR ABILITY ITEMS:
When selecting an ability item, you can press Square/X to create presets, which will save you a ton of time selecting each one manually
I LOVER GAMERANX
Huge fan of falcon making jokes of the mispronunciations, such a good sense of humor
Falcon's Mr Garrison voice is hilarious 😭
Im love this series as a whole. With flacon doing mr garrisons voice as well just make this perfect 👌🏻
GOODMORNING GAMERSSSS!
Good morning
@@gameranxTV 🙏🏽 if only gamerranx knew the reality behind that comment 🖤
Revenge Counter can't actually get you out of a back combo, Super counter does (up + square), but you gotta time your super counter for when the enemy hit lands
Bro I bought the standard edition I’m suffering rn
Why?
@@harrisoncook1002 because he doesn't get the bonuses
@@boredape1986 what bonuses?
Why
How are u suffering? Just unlock lame ah
I miss DBZ Budokai. Those three games dominated much of mine and my friends Friday nights.
4:48 I'm not sure if it's different for PS or Xbox but on oc you press b or circle to slam down
I love that some of us would already know these tips, but it’s because of a different Dragon Ball game (Raging Blast 1 & 2).
Just for those who are unfamiliar with the game. ;)
0:56
Correction: Zeno's orders don't give you Dragon balls. They give you Dragon Ball avatars.
I like Falcon. When he apologised for saying stuff wrong that was cool.
I love any Falcon video, and when we get him covering DBZ it’s a moment for history.
I like the fact that your videos are getting longer!
Thank you for the tips. This will be helpful.
2:11 for those who may have also noticed but don't know, the reason his blue ki doesn't charge here when the yellow ki is fully charged is because you need to have at least 1 of those (forgot the name) blue ability points to be able to charge blue ki and enter sparking mode
also your ki charges faster the more of those blue points you have
Fusing also heals you so it's extremely useful to fuse right before one or both of your unfused characters are low on health. Fusing essentially gives you an entire free character if you can pull the fusion off late enough
I almost missed the Mr satan voice because I almost skipped this video.. Gameranx team is literally the best gaming info channel
I'm curious to see how it's going with everys complaints of it being too hard.
fusing in the middle of a fight is a clutch move if both your fusable characters are low health, as it basically gives you another full health character that's stronger than either of the other two
For the sparking episodes, you will see on the quest a green arrow, click on that event to start then when in the fighting mode press start and go to battle details will give you the alternative objective to do 😊
Your Mr Garrison is spot on!!! Had me crackin up.
Dude, fusion is has major benefits. Especially with goku and vegeta
Quick note.
You don't have to use a revenge counter to get someone off your back. You can use a super counter to do so if you time it correctly, making it a lot less costly to avoid getting a long string of attack on you back.
Just a trick for the Ape :
Charge your ki, put around 10m between you and the Ape,
Once he throws a Blast, evade right with X (or A on Xbox)
Throw yours
Rinse and Repeat, enjoy.
Hahahaha 1:38 gogetta low-key bothered me last vid
2:20 Your Mr. Mackey voice is SPOT ON SON
Falcon correcting how he says Gogeta but still pronounced every other name wrong is so funny.
don’t think i’ve been this early in a long time
15:00 you can also use the fusions as away to get a new character with health.
If your Goku is low on health and same to Vegeta, when they fuse will create a Gogeta/ Vegito with full health. Sacrifice one character that has done their purpose to have a stronger one
Falcon, your Mr.Garrison impression was too good sir
There is no plus sign on any control. but I do like your content. You have the voice of a game show host.
It does tell you how to unlock the Sparking Episode routes. When you're on the episode that shows the split routes. Pause the game and look in Battle Details and there will be Alternate Objective.
So wait, did you also call Vegeta "Ve-jet-uh"? I need to know. What a legend.
for number 7, in the fight you can pause and check for fight details, that menu tells you what the alternative goal is
Very cool that you can buy everyone from the shop. That's probably how I'll end up rolling. This game is incredible!
Brooo, Ape Vegeta was wrecking me for multiple attempts, until I just started cheesing him. Solar Flare when he got in my face and just spammed Kamehameha attack.
Great Video!
Glad you enjoyed it
