Tremolo, by using the fingers, (not the wammy bar ) like in Recuerdos de la Alhambra . And Vamping. Cheers to Mr Polanco for his good clear shots of what you do.
The humble attitude with bit of nervousness makes it easier to feel a lil more confident learning without the intimidation sometimes felt by a teacher that has an arrogant personality. You rock young lady On tapping if you use the middle finger to tap you can still keep the pick in position to continue on quickly after the tapping
I like that the mistakes are left in and not cut out. Even great players mess up sometime. Also, my vibrato used to be just wiggling my finger parallel with the neck. Then I watched a BB King video and noticed him moving his fingers perpendicular to the neck. I still struggle with bent note vibrato, but I'm working on it.
There are a lot of vibrato techniques. Try all of them or just the ones you like or think fit the song your playing. One thing you can do is bend, or wobble the string only when it fades off like a singer will do when they add vibrato to their vocal lines. Gilmour does it that way for one.
I have been playing for 34 years and I love your videos, always great to review and see/hear a young persons perspective. Your bright and positive disposition is charming too!
"Some people are able to tap with more than one finger" 😅....What a cool way to put it. Humility, with skills like hers behind it, is a very powerful thing. She never feels the need to "show off". It's just there.
Thank you; your positivity and great example have me picking up my dusty guitar and rediscovering why I love to play. Your genuine love for making music for the sake of making music is obvious and infectious!
Ayla. Lassie. I'm a career guitarist (originally) from Glasgow now living stateside in the Midwest. Your videos never fail to entertain me but I also deeply admire your commitment to your fans, of which I am now one (and a subscriber). Looking forward to more. Thank You and haste ye back, Ayla Tesler-Mabe ! 🍀🎸🍀
You are an amazing guitarist and an awesome teacher, are you on a Facebook ad for pickup music,in the video they are jamming too ,you are standing next to the trumpet player if im not mistaken ,anyway I wish you health and a long career,.
I appreciate the in-depth explanations on HOW to execute each technique rather than simply what they are. I still need more help with palm muting but yours has been the most helpful so far.
I still remember the 1st song that taught me pinch harmonics. Twist of Cain, by Danzig. So much fun to play as a 20yo new guitarist with a Metal Zone. :)
It is such a pleasure to hear a young lady speak so eloquently using proper English. Ayla is clearly brilliant as well as talented. I do so enjoy her videos. Thank you.
I have never learned on the tapping that you have to flick the string after tapping down. No wonder i have a hard time with doing it. Thank you! 47 yrs and nobody explained that part to me.
Slight clarification. The person I find calling them flick offs is Justin Sandercoe, and while he's based in Britain, he's an Australian. Still a really good explanatory name. :)
Thank you so much for your concise, easy to follow descriptions of HOW to execute techniques. I've been playing for decades and never quite got the hang of tapping until listening to your explanation along with your demonstration.
I love mixing slides, pull offs and bends. Haven't really tried tapping yet. Vibrato and squealies are works in progress. Interestingly enough, I kinda like the butterfly vibrato on the lighter strings. The one where you kinda flap your hand. I get a tight, quick subtle one that way. Interestingly, I didn't start to figure it out from watching the Blues legends that made it famous. I started to get it after watching Yo Yo Ma play the cello. He's AWESOME at it. So expressive.
PS: The tip on using the Bridge pickup for pinchies REALLY helped. Dunno how I missed that. This new PRS guitar I have is also really working well for them. Gotta try this on the others, now. Thank you.
The tips, the positive attitude, simple breakdowns on every detail, it's perfect for teaching. You're way better than the person I used to pay hourly rates for lessons!
Thank you for leaving in all those little mistakes. I learn as much from what not to do as from what to do. Even guitar gods are guitar humans. Keep it up Ayla!
Great video. I wish you could have added a section or even a fallow up video with practical use sessions. Either entire songs that uses all techniques or cool collection of riffs that could be part of a daily practice regiment. Possible even with backing tracks. Or make it a patreon feature? Getting a balanced daily practice regiment is something of challenge for me, one that let me get out of my comfort zone and forces me to practice what I struggle with. The only consistency I manage to retain seems to be the spider exercise in various forms, after I've done that I end up playing guitar rather then practicing techniques.
I Love it Well Done This is Such An Important and Necessary Bit of Info as To Attempt To Teach The Best That One Can at Bringing Your Playing To Life 🎸
Thank you so much for the guitar lesson! I can use all the help I can get it because I want to add to my own original music. Different flavors but same genre of music.
really interesting in tapping, not quite getting it though, some stuff has to be shown in person for me, Ill try again another time. thanks for the vids
Ayla, you are fantastic! Teaching all this tricks , however I’ve been practicing over a year and still having issues switching chords I guess some people got and some people don’t. It would be great if you make a long video about pentatonic scales explaining SLOWLY. so even guys like me try to sink it in my skull, Thanks for all your doing and sharing your skills with us Keep it going please.

Great lesson!! Love it!! I can learn from you!!
You are the coolest guitar teacher! Laid back and humble!
☯️
And the biggest vibrato fun in the world.
Tremolo, by using the fingers, (not the wammy bar ) like in Recuerdos de la Alhambra .
And Vamping.
Cheers to Mr Polanco for his good clear shots of what you do.
I really appreciate this teacher shows she is not perfect every time. Great lesson.
She’s such a great guitar teacher, like it’s wild
The humble attitude with bit of nervousness makes it easier to feel a lil more confident learning without the intimidation sometimes felt by a teacher that has an arrogant personality.
You rock young lady
On tapping if you use the middle finger to tap you can still keep the pick in position to continue on quickly after the tapping
My middle finger y really fat and weird.
She is so POSITIVE person omg..
Thank You Sooo much for providing eamples of and explaining these techniques... THEY MAKE SENSE NOW!!! Thanks again😀
Your teaching method is very easy to understand. Thank you Ayla 🙏

I find that once I've bent the string if I want to add vibrato I pick it again while bent I don't know if this is right but it works for me 🎸
Same here. I find it hard to be consistent in Vibrato.
Fantastic! Enough information and techniques in 24 minutes to keep me busy for days!
There is no guitar teacher on UA-cam even remotely like you. You are AWESOME!!!
I have been playing for 34 years and I love your videos, always great to review and see/hear a young persons perspective. Your bright and positive disposition is charming too!
Great lesson and teacher! Calm, humble and positive.
"Some people are able to tap with more than one finger" 😅....What a cool way to put it. Humility, with skills like hers behind it, is a very powerful thing. She never feels the need to "show off". It's just there.
Been playing for a while, but she is still fun to watch, cool calm & collected!
Thank you; your positivity and great example have me picking up my dusty guitar and rediscovering why I love to play. Your genuine love for making music for the sake of making music is obvious and infectious!
Ayla is such a natural teacher!

Ayla is such a great teacher 🙌🙌
one of the coolest guitar teacher I could ever seen. everything said clearly
I wish this channel was around when I first started. She really explains each concept well and is very relaxed.
I especially love Billy Gibbons' pinch harmonics.
Hes the best and a true harmonic god. Lol
Is it me or other also feels like time is moving slower than normal as she continues to beautifully explain.
Thank u for the palm muting technique, u made it easy to understand.
You are an amazing guitarist and an awesome teacher, are you on a Facebook ad for pickup music,in the video they are jamming too ,you are standing next to the trumpet player if im not mistaken ,anyway I wish you health and a long career,.
Excellent lesson. Really like the way you break things down. You make it easy to understand. Thanks.
The mellow and positive teaching style is great!
Excellent teaching. More than that, such a cheerful, humble disposition.

'To Make You Sound Like A Rock God.'
But in Ayla's Case 'A Rock Goddess, of which She is !🎸
no...se is not a rocker...she is a jazz player
Fantastic overview and clear explanation of so many key techniques. Thank you, Ayla!
A lot of guitar lessons online feel like reading off of a powerpoint. This teaching style is much more conducive to learning.
It is such a pleasure to hear a young lady speak so eloquently using proper English. Ayla is clearly brilliant as well as talented. I do so enjoy her videos. Thank you.
Hi Ayla ,thank for yours tutorial are vey useful
Ayla is so cool, fun & smart
I have never learned on the tapping that you have to flick the string after tapping down. No wonder i have a hard time with doing it. Thank you! 47 yrs and nobody explained that part to me.
Some Brits call pull offs "flick offs". That sorta explains the concept, I think.
Slight clarification. The person I find calling them flick offs is Justin Sandercoe, and while he's based in Britain, he's an Australian. Still a really good explanatory name. :)

Wow great teaching thank you so much for your technique ❤️❤️🙌
Brilliant lesson from a wonderful teacher.

Your a well spoken teacher, thank you
I’ve been playing guitar for a long time and really enjoy your presentation. You cover stuff really well.
I've been playing for many years and never was a shreader to me they can be boring . I would rather see one put there heart and soul into it.
You make pinch harmonics look so easy - great video.
Pinch harmonics sounds really cool. Thanks for the help, I have been watching these videos for some time and it really helps me out. Keep it up. :)

Thanks a lot Ayla!
I’ve been playing guitar for a long time now and your video is definitely one I’ll be sending to my nephews who are trying to learn :)
The tips, the positive attitude, simple breakdowns on every detail, it's perfect for teaching. You're way better than the person I used to pay hourly rates for lessons!
Thanks Ayla for such a great lesson. All of these techniques are really worth to learn.
Ayla, you’re nothing but amazing! My favourite UA-cam instructional guitarist.
Ayla, I hope that life brings you as much happiness and joy that you bring to the world. You are a rare gift. Thank you.

Thank you for leaving in all those little mistakes. I learn as much from what not to do as from what to do. Even guitar gods are guitar humans. Keep it up Ayla!

I'm new to guitar and definitely not "pinch harmonics" level but I'm listening to the segment and all I hear is Norman Greenbaum 'Spirit in the Sky.'
