Experience should be taken into consideration. Not counting his time as a Sith Trooper, Bane saw relatively little combat throughout his time as a Sith whereas Malgus spent the entirety of the Great Galactic War on the front lines and likely could always be found in the thickest fighting.
The Sith of Bane's era were shadows, of the Empire of the Sith. Malgus was raised in, and had access to the resources of the Empire, and fought against it.
I Don't think the Losses of Malgus would count, The Player Character / Outlander is already the Most Powerfull being in the galaxy second to the Sith Emperor at the time. And we know, WE, the player have even more Plot Armor then Rey, the amount of times we SHOULD'VE died but are miraculously saved is just insane, because the nature of the game is its a MMORPG, the content must keep coming in and they can't just kill off the player, that is not the Nature of a MMORPG. in fact, i owuld say Malgus's Losses against the player character is more Impressive, few survive the encounters against the player character. Malgus survived us 3times, which is quite insane to be fair, while most opponents we the players face get Mortally wounded if the situation demands it. In my Opinion, Malgus takes this one. But that is the endless war in the star wars community, it is just like the Sith vs jedi conflict. The fandom will never agree on something, it's to divided.
Totally agree this comes down to opinion. Even after drawing the logic out with my video, I still feel uncertain declaring a "winner". Would love to see an actual fight haha.

Darth Malgus takes this imo. His dueling skills are better than Bane’s proven in their fights. Darth Malgus was equal to the Hero Of Tython who’s one of the strongest Jedi and definitely stronger than Bane. In the force tho both are equally matched. But by battle feats and defeats Malgus wins and here’s why. Darth Bane actually struggled against Lord Kas’im in the second half of their duel and would’ve died if he didn’t use his superior force abilities to win. Also Darth Bane even with Orbalisk armor heavily struggled with two Jedi and would’ve died if he didn’t have the armor protecting him. And he still lost by having his own force lightning reflect back onto him cooking him alive and nearly died. So that’s a defeat you missed. And in the last book Bane was physically weaker while Malgus even at 75 was a tank. And Malgus was able to hold off The Hero Of Tython and his/her squad of Jedi at once. By feats Malgus takes this.
Dude you just said that Bane only beat Bane because he was stronger in the force. This was a horribly inexperienced and underprepared Bane. I agree that Malgus is absolutely more experienced in duels and was a better military strategist and commander. Malgus is very powerful and very good in a duel. Malgus still beat a jedi battle master at quite a young age and was also able to take on satele shan for quite a bit but that's just not enough The hero of tython was also not stronger than Bane and I'd say Malgus might actually be stronger than the hero of tython just because of how ambiguous he was

I don't know why Malgus winning this is so important because he's not only unable in a lore sense he's also not supposed to in a story sense
The problem with using certain characters like Malgus is that depending on your faction, he's wins and losses are different. If you're a Republic player he doesn't kill Gnoss-Deral and he fails at the Meridain Complex, but the opposite happens if you're an Imperial
Bane wins this, but only for 3 VERY simple reasons: 1) Malgus had more and better instruction, but his masters were doubtless FAR more brutal and cruel. Given his various prosthetics it clearly took a toll. Also, though Bane was basically a slave laborer, war is less forgiving, physically. 2) Bane had full access to tomes and records that were doubtless denied to Malgus. Again, excessively cruel Masters - hoarded knowledge is yet another means of control. Bane's masters weren't as paranoid as Malgus'. Bane's masters were also too full of themselves to realize the danger said knowledge could be. And lastly, 3) He was the superior Saber duelist. On an open battle field, Malgus, like Mace Windu is a Beast. Even when you hit them, they're not stopping. But one on one..? Bane, like Dooku, is beyond lethal. @@swcentral I believe it was bane vs Lord Hoth, those 2 never faced off and was hypothetical. I personally think Bane is a beast probably my favorite character in SW
Bro, I want to seriously Thank You for doing an honest comparison between Bane and Revan - I'll be honest and transparent up front and tell you that 1) I have read 220 of the available 275(?) StarWars legends and Canon novels and 2) I have not played SWTOR or KOTOR. I'm open-minded and very respectful of real fans' love for Revan and Malgus. I completely understand and accept those fans' respect and love for these 2 Sith lords, but I feel it really just comes down to how important they were (in their time) to the Sith Order - Revan lived from about 4,000 BBY to 3,650 BBY and Malgus was alive from 3,700 BBY to a misunderstand time when he was frozen in the 3,600s. They both reigned during a time of warfare and we're incredibly skilled in battle. Darth Bane's "job" was to incorporate the rule of 2 and stay hidden while setting up an eventual Sith in a place of incredible power and influence to be able to take over and rule the galaxy. Both Revan and Malgus would've been able to deal with Bane in 1 on 1 combat, but Bane laid the groundwork for absolute control. Without Bane we don't get Tenebrous, Plagueis, or Sidious.
I honestly think modern sith vs old sith or modern jedi vs old jedi is like comparing apples to oranges. The jedi and sith of old where trained for battle, while the modern sith where trained for deception and politcial skills as seen in the plagueis book for example and the jedi were trained in diplomacy. Now I think someone like revan or malgus could quite handily kill someone like sidious or plagueis, but they couldnt do something like cloud the perception of the entire jedi order or manipulate midichlorians. Star wars isnt like dragon ball z where power is the only thing that matters.
Well all Sith were connected by one goal - personal pwoer. Primarly when it comes to the force. Midern Sith didn't resort to deception at the cost of raw power.
1st of in rain storm it says hes using form3soresu , Even if he was using formV it would be shien as djem so is dueling varient , sith forms r form3 Soresu"Fast Style" form 5 Djem so "strong style" form7 juyo"ferocity form" and form 5 shien"sith shien"
Normally i would have said Bane with little difficulty, but in the latest content with Malgus years older, we see someone with more technical skill and abilities to go with the raw force power and impulsivity. We not only see him telekinetically grab master Orr wrapping him in cable without using his hands while trapped in rubble, he demonstrated the memory walk ability with Sa'har, so he's even gifted in less combative abilities with force enhanced telepathy, mind trickery and interrogation techniques which Bane and Zannah were later famous for. Still, Bane's death field ability, rage and amped energy potentially draining Malgus' own will and energy through feeding off his pain and anger, and manipulating his mind, alongside far more advanced force lightning, this would mark Bane as the superior force wizard while Malgus is the dedicated power duelist to beat. So Bane wins overall, but not as easily as pre-2020ish standards. I feel that even in his later years Malgus has so much potential if he casts himself further from his warrior class to study some abilities from holocrons.
If this is going to keep up, my list: Sith Warrior Vs. Obi Wan Kenobi. Sith Inquisitor Vs. Qui Gon Gin. Revan Vs. Mace Windo. Darth Talon Vs. Vette/C’ena (still can’t believe you didn’t know her birth name). And finally General Grevious Vs. Xalex (Xivhkalrainik)
I personally wouldn't count Malgus' win over Darth Vidican, since his guard was down and he had already lost in a fight and was already critically injured
And so the strongest survive. The title of Dark Lord of the Sith shouldn’t be given, but ripped away from the master once they have outlived their usefulness. Also Bane was the Sith’ari as he fits the description of it to the letter.
I'm a fan of both Bane and Malgus hehe. Remember I do extensive research, nowhere has Malgus demonstrated a Force Maelstrom. If that were the case I would have included it. Someone else also brought this up and I asked them for a source but they never got back to me. I'm always open to be proven wrong, if you have a source I'd love to see it!
To be fair everyone loses to the player it's just how the game is how most games are really and in the same game he ragdolled a dark council member like she was nothing he aslo killed a dark council member with ease and also Satele Shan said that if Jace Malcom Malgus would have killed her can't remember where I read it tho but regardless of that I still think Malgus would win in a fight he had much more battle experience he was most likely physically stronger as well and he could probably fight for longer nit sure about force powers tho we know that Malgus could use Force Maelstrom but I assume that Bane could do that as well and after his defeat at Alderaan he was extremely damaged yet he killed at least 2 jedi without much if any problems
This was a common topic in my streams many years ago. I use to stand by Marr being the king of defense. I figured Marr would win... But now, I think perhaps they are more evenly matched than I previously thought. Hard for me to say. Probably Malgus....
@@swcentral We don't know alot of Marr's skills, well he is the leader of the dark council, so that should say something. But we barely see him fight. But i believe Marr has this unnatural ability to End a fight before it begins. I believe On Yavin4 in swtor during the Revan Expansion. you can hear a NPC dialogue between Republic soldiers at the first camp, They Mentioned that one Republic soldier had his Sniper rifle's Crosshair aimed at Marr's head, but suddenly Marr turned his head and looked straight back at the Sniper, giving The Republic sniper a sense of dread to not fire at all and he was frozen in place. When i first heard that that Marr could prevent a Sniper from shooting him, was impressed.
@@galacticfirefly I remember this NPC dialogue! Sometimes a gem is hidden hehe. I think Marr Vs Malgus is VERY hard to judge. It seems the answer would be Malgus, but Marr had far less screen time and ended up at a desk job where we don't see him in action. Would have been epic if some of the Dark Council members were showed more in cinematics.

Bro, I want to seriously Thank You for doing an honest comparison between Bane and Revan - I'll be honest and transparent up front and tell you that 1) I have read 220 of the available 275(?) StarWars legends and Canon novels
and 2) I have not played SWTOR or KOTOR.
Awesome comment! I'm glad you liked the video and hopefully you'll be back for more.
I love your passion.
You need to play the games yes they hold that much lore in them to change your outlook Revan was the Ani of his time
I honestly think modern sith vs old sith or modern jedi vs old jedi is like comparing apples to oranges.
If this is going to keep up, my list:
Sith Warrior Vs. Obi Wan Kenobi.
Sith Inquisitor Vs. Qui Gon Gin.
Revan Vs. Mace Windo.
Darth Talon Vs. Vette/C’ena (still can’t believe you didn’t know her birth name).
And finally General Grevious Vs. Xalex (Xivhkalrainik)
I personally wouldn't count Malgus' win over Darth Vidican, since his guard was down and he had already lost in a fight and was already critically injured
I didn't want to count it either really, however I felt like that "apprentice kills master" is a symbolic moment so it's kind of on the fence.
@@swcentral fair
And so the strongest survive. The title of Dark Lord of the Sith shouldn’t be given, but ripped away from the master once they have outlived their usefulness.
Also Bane was the Sith’ari as he fits the description of it to the letter.
Totally agree! I have my own theory on the Sith'ari which I'll be talking about I'm a video sometime.
You forgot Force Maelstrom for Malgus, nice to know you a Bane fanboy.
@@swcentralBook of Sith, Sidious describes it using Malgus as an example of a Sith with this ability.
Before his buff to Vader levels of power with his return in the expansion, Bane won 6-7/10, after the omega buff, Malgus probably wins.
Do Darth Marr vs Darth Malgus?
Yeah, indeed
Bane wouldn't even be able to beat qui gon. Malgus would choke him just like Savik
I wonder How it would have Turned out if Darth Revan and Darth malglus and Darth Bane would have made The Rule of Two Together😎💪❤️
