I found your channel after I found my 1961 Rambler Classic Cross Country Wagon. I subscribed and binge-watched all your Rambler episodes. I subscribed to your bonus channel, too. You've paved the way for me on my '61 project, I'll know just where to look for trouble. I'm looking forward to your next video. Best of luck in Oklahoma!
That's awesome. I was hoping these Rambler videos would be of help to someone. There's not a lot of Rambler video content out there. Thanks for the well wishes. I appreciate it.
I am finally going to get my rambler perfect. My car body in from nevada and it is really nice all of it. And now we just secured a new engine and transmission for a 62 rambler. They are super hard to find
That’s incredible. Congratulations. That must be a really good feeling. You should keep me posted on it. I’m interested in knowing how your Rambler turns out.
Man I so thought we were going to see you drive this beast. Sadness as entered the situation and now must be dealt with. You are not having the best of luck with this car. Hope it's a easy fix and you get this jewel on the road and you can become Ramblin man he's got a plan. Good luck getting it figured out and fixed once and for all. You arr quite a entertaining fellow
I shrieked when I saw that leak too bud! Dang! You've come too far to give up, you'll get her going again, I have all the confidence in you! Can't wait to see the next episode, thanks for bringing us along! Good luck bud!
I have a 61 Rambler that looks similar to yours. it has good body parts and windows. the engine is locked up. its the aluminum block with a steel head. 196 cid. the auto trans and diff has 60k miles on it. I'm parting it out. I drive a 59 with a 327
some of the original gas tanks have a drain plug in the bottom. I made a filler tube out of exhaust tubing coupled with a straight hose. its only worked for 40 years.
It's going to SUK but the Trans. has to come out. Then maybe you can have it gone through & really cleaned up or rebuilt ? Didn't expect it to leak like that, MAN THAT SUKS. Or you can ignore that car for now & work on the 56 ? Good Luck, Sir.
Taking trans out not a good idea. Pull exhaust fuel line radiator waterpump fan and k frame. Separate engine and trans. Twist engine aside, clean bell housing. Pull converter replace seal. Replace bell housing mounts. Reinstall converter and engine.

If it wasn't for this $3 seal it'd be good to go. A seal has been located & is in the US mail headed my way. I appreciate your moral support.
Lol, you had more than one person here screaming at linkage time... little coffee though, and it morphed into a knowing chuckle.
It's part of the process.
@freemansgarage btw, when u pull engine aside check the flex plate for cracks. Holler if u need one gratis in the mail.

The seal is in the mail. I'm chomping at the bit. Thanks for the good luck.
Hope it doesn't end up in Guam! 🤣

Oh, wow the aluminum block. That's interesting. You're selling parts?
Windshield on 61 is different: shorter!

Good luck with all that really hope you have good luck
Thank you. I think it will work out ok.
Hi Richard, I too wept bitterly
It’ll be fine.
You can get it done 👍
Thank you. I will do my best.
Somehow mine doesnt leak, it just is a little different ramblers always gotta do something else
It's always something.
I wish you could drive it. More issues? Maybe next year?
If the torque converter isn’t cracked then it just needs a $3 seal.
Lack of dirty grease means That L upper trunion is toast.
There is no missing snorkle!
My mistake.
You haven’t been posted anything lately. Must be busy hope you a great holiday weekend
Thank you. It was great. I hope your holiday weekend was great as well. Yes, I have been busy. A little too busy. I'm keeping it going though.

@@oldschoolcars3318 Isn't that what you just described ? Pulling Trans.
.... but but but, I like glimmering?!
This girl wants to live, fix it right
Agreed. New seal is on it's way.
There is no snorkle on that style air cleaner.

I like the end. Let her pick the color. Thanks for sending that my way.
Put a diaper on that thing and get her rolling.
It’s crossed my mind.
