Bobby from NJ. Hey Brother, how are you? Listen I am 65 and had several cars that I repaired. I also in my later years restored. I had a 65 Rambler American, 62,63,64,65 Rambler Classic. I would like to give you a good piece of advice. First off, whenever possible, you can buy locally. Take the old part to match uo. Now days it can be easier because you can take pictures with your phone. Secondly, I needed a filler hose once like you and had a problem finding it, so I went to a marine supply place with my hose and matched it up with a new one. Thirdly, I had a problem with the exchust manifold on my 62 Rambler leaking. What I did to fix it, was I extended the bolts on the head, and used clamps like you use on the muffler pipes, then got a 6cyl gasket set for a Chevy cut them out and put them in and stopped the leak completely. Fourthly if you join the AMC, club and it's only about $30.00 a year, you will have availability to AMC parts that are nos, and used for a cheaper price and quicker. I don't do social media, but if want to dm me with your email we can communicate easier. Great videos.
I appreciate all of that. Thank you very much. I don't do social media either. I'm not sure if you can dm on UA-cam. I need to list an email on the Freeman's Garage about page. That way people can email me.
Good idea getting the repro fuel filler hose, it'll def be worth it, and my park lights on my 49 3100 work the same way! Headlights on, park lights off, go figure...wish I was closer to you, I'd definitely help you move, love your channel, keep it up friend! God bless!
Bobby from NJ. My 62 had a 196 ci straight 6 a 3 sped on the column. I had a 64 Rambler Classic with a 287 V-8 , and a 63 Rambler Classic with a straight 6, 196. I personally like the stick cars better.
Mike can you stop by a muffler shop and have him make a 6" sleeve that fits inside the tank opening and the rubber fuel hose held by a clamp? just for moving to new garage
That is a good idea. I've decided to wait for the reproduction part. I've already put too much time & money into trying to figure out an alternative. Let's just hope the reproduction part is available sooner than later.

Bobby from NJ. The 196 engine in Rambler is the only one I knew that had the round manifold like pipe.

Don't worry about it. It won't be the first time I've moved by myself. Thank you for the blessing. Right back at ya!
Lord I was born a Rambler man, just trying to get it driving and doing the best I can!
Hey that's pretty good now!

The V-8 would be neat. Thanks for sharing that. I like stick cars better too. These automatic transmissions, they baffle me.
