Excellent maiden/shakedown flight to the AL37 Bobby and camerawork Ryan! Man she looked awesome an flown perfectly especially in a crosswind. Fantastic touch and goes and landing with the aerobraking in that wind as well! BIG thumbs up! Best regards!
i noticed on many flight i have seen the right wing drips on take off. inverted on a maiden, your a madmen Bobby!
“Dips”? That’s simply the crosswind, I have owned two of these and there are no roll tendencies on normal take offs into wind but like any high aspect swept wing bird she is affected by crosswind hence the huge vertical and rudder and if you are prepared for it it’s a nothing event. The only vices I experienced were a lack of pitch authority at certain speeds in certain attitudes - but I use a heavier pack and my cG is different - nothing too scary especially if you expect it - very much like the full size.

Awesome crosswind landings, reminds of growing up in Hong Kong and watching the planes come in to land at Kai Tak! Could you guys try a couple 6S packs in parallel, as the stock plane seems to have really good thrust to weight, so the extra weight probably won't hurt for double the flight time?

Are the P-8A Poseidon markings from Callie Graphics ? Very cool ! If I purchased this model I would most definitely fit it out as a Poseidon ! Maybe add some bomb bay doors on a servo in order to drop a Mk-54 torpedo !
is it scary when taking off in the direction of the barn? you guys are experts and ive never even seen a close call over there, but was just wondering if it's in the back of your mind or you don't even think about it?
Harpoon_Bakery Hey BobbyK here. Usually we don’t take it into consideration. The only time I’ve came close to the barn is when I hit LVC by accident. Lol
We never even think about it. It’s farther away than it looks. There’s always a couple gassers get eaten by the tree though. 🤪
It's 372 feet from the end of the runway to the barn.

Yeah, crosswinds suck a**, my runway is narrow too. Don’t know how many times the wind has almost pushed me off with the freewing f16 90mm. Great flying and videoing in the cold.
Got one word for this plane "MONEY"! Great looking P-8 with a nasty crosswind. Throw in inverted flight on the maiden. Nothing else to say. Good sticks Bobby on a windy day.

I turned my head away for a split second. I thought for sure it was the freewing 262 cruisin around the flight line. Cool brother, yeah those freewing twin 70mm set ups have a distinctive sound. Good you guys made it military. That civilian shit was literally making puke and shit myself at the same time. Yeah picture that bro. Not a pretty sight. Just like that stock livery on that bus.

Approach looks great Bobby!!! You have to raise the nose on final to slow it down. Hot low approaches with a model like this just does not look right. Keep doing your thing!
Ryan, I'd love to see a picture of your wiring setup on all of your Freewing models. For some reason I keep having brown outs only on my Freewing models. I'm going to start bypassing the 'bluebox" with Y connectors, hopefully this fixes that.
