fuck yea i love these. Please make a playlist in chronological order
bump
Amen brother
yes this!
Just search for asmongold hardcore deaths, a fan has put them into one
yeah and add time stamps for each fail
Asmon reacting to these clips was one of my favorite phases lol
This how I discovered him. Then I see he does gaming news. Only just heard of asmongold this year😂
@B1acKBMWW he doesn't do gaming news bro lol ya u really new huh
I only watch those and look for Kungen parts. I find it funny that he always makes it to those compilation yet it's someone else who dies.
@@YOURDADSNEPHEW same
@@user-eb6gr1ux6w i mean only reason I watch his clips. Never been to a stream just UA-cam clips on gaming news kid GG sorry he not popular
The Anubisath mob was a failure of the person who had blue on their head. They kept bitching and insisting people move. But then they screwed over the healers trying to heal over and over again in a row. No heals were going out because the healers had to keep interrupting themselves. Raid lead needed to shut his mouth with the loud whining and instead call out when moves were gonna happen. The ranged DPS needed to chill for a second.
knowing NOTHING about WoW really makes you appreciate Asmon’s knowledge and willingness to explain to what’s happening even more
This is the best content, I am so glad to see it back.
If you take that Entrance to Stratholme on HC, i'm gonna drop group.
I love that the priest in the first clip had his hearthstone on his bar and still opened up his bags to click it
and he's still fucking screaming at people even though he fucked up like 4 times.
For anyone wondering, the song at 7:17 is called "World of Warcraft Stormwind remix by Dj Nautilus (long version)", enjoy
HOLY SHIT THANK YOU
@@Rynali ur welcome, its an absolute banger hehe
Thanks mate
Bag of Marbles by warlock at the end. Amazing play
Those early quest rewards are fucking life savers all through the game, just save them for when you really need them. The horde ones are even better: really sticky glue, and that other one that puts enemies to sleep (you get it from killing murlocs in a tirisfal glades quest chain)... Carried me through so many rough situations in classic both pve and pvp.
I will never understand the screaming into the mic
If sam kennison was a nerd dork
Emotions?
@@lCoolPartner control them and dont be a fucking child
That guy almost ducked his second fear when he wastes 4 second moving i dont understand :DD
Because they care about something that doesn't matter, isn't fair, isn't a test of skill, is based on 12 layers of luck and they think they're good at a game that doesn't require skill.
i gave it a poetic death and suicided in Deadmines at 59 with 1 bar left. 10days, great experience! I'll prob start another toon in a couple weeks
You like CBT
Go agane
Go make a lvl 26 on defias alliance and come kill it in a makgora vs me
@@shib5267?
i missed this series so much
Now miss it again lol
I literally say ROACH OUT in real life now lmao
Dude me too
What does it mean I'm so confused
@@justinwillams2004 when you turn on a light, roaches SCATTER! So when it looks like death is coming in HC Wow, the players scatter like panicked roaches when the lights are turned on.
@@justinwillams2004something goes wrong? FUCKING BOOK IT
@EvLch3dd4r toe*
Official hardcore was honestly the most fun WoW has been since like 2009. The re-release of Classic in 2019 was great but it was just the same thing we've all done before. With hardcore, the zones and dungeons we've all been to a million times felt new and exciting. I got a warrior to 60 (tanking dungeons the whole way!) and it was so fucking fun. I also got a balance druid to level 24 before accepting that balance druids are irredeemably shit in vanilla WoW when it uses literally all of your mana to kill a single mob that's 5 levels lower than you are.
hardcore is insanely fun, that's why I'm back playing it again
What is hardcore wow? Like whats the difference?
@@footballfactory8797 It's like a challenge mode. It's Vanilla WoW except if you die you can't resurrect and must start over from level 1. The goal is to get to level 60 without dying.
How do you not know this if you watch Asmongold's stuff on UA-cam? It came out last year lol.
@@Aethelhald new to this channel bro haha
@@footballfactory8797 Fair enough.
Hardcore deaths are my favorite content on this channel. Please keep doing them.
The player dying to assassins as collateral is actually pretty cool.
love the part where the undead player casually walks in sees the assassins and slowly walks backwards and runs.
@@MarianoCardoza Yeah, pretty much a case of wrong place, wrong time and they'll tell that story for years to come. Waiting on SOA style VR before I start playing MMOs again, we better have most things automated by then haha.
HC wow is still alive and booming. not everyone jumps to the new hottest thing every other week.
someone did the math awhile back, and it peaked in the low thousands and actually maintained pretty well
i dont think its growing, but it doesnt seem to die... which is strange/interesting
I'm 7777% going to agree with this comment
So is Retail.
@@vissermatt1058 it's super addicting to be honest, been at it since 2021.
havent done human side strat in over a decade and i still knew what hallway that priest was standing on and how dumb it is to stand on it.
Imagine being as bad as that priest in the second clip xD
the dude screaming that hard but he had 0 awareness on the goblin boss being pulled and ran down the stairs instead of wheel. dude needs a reality check
This is such a good ad-hoc series. People still do this. Oh there's so many things this could be expanded to.
That warlock at the end hit all his buttons, and he had just enough buttons
HC players gotta remember to use potions. Priest had potions might've been able to pop a potion and then flash heal to stay alive.
I feel like potions fell to the wayside and people stopped prioritizing them, relying on healing spells and CDs instead
Deff missed these uploads from you and excited it sounds like you might be doing them once a week moving forward.
More please. I think I have watched almost every one of these vids, multiple times.
I literally started watching Asmon (on YT) with this series (and I never even played WoW)
13:33 PETRI ON GOD REPRESENT
we're doing heigan and loatheb for the first time tomorrow so you might see us again soon
Please do more mate. Watched all HC vids, i love this. So relaxing!
Didnt even know forced teleport was a thing a mob could do.
I missed these so much
Reviving this series would revive classic WoW, if a new server was released.
Copium
Asmon reacting to these is awesome, especially because of his vast WoW knowledge. The video itself is fun to watch and Asmon often gives detailed context and examples. It's MUCH more fun if you understand what's happening on the screen.
Asmon's hair: "I'll stick around... for old time's sake."
12:56 not only did Fnyx get aggro from over DPSing and then killed, but they were also hurled
into the air for all his teamates to witness. 😔
The warrior sundering the guy who got MC'ed was just too good, I was straight up cackling
12:05 sure, he shouldn't have been there. The reason he moved up was to keep LOS on the tank that went around the corner, and he wanted to stand back to keep away from attacks. It's a typical ranged fault to back into other mobs.
Tanks should be aware and avoid such situations by pulling the opponents to a safer area unless they know every player in the group is using their brain. So yes, it was the healers fault, but the tank could've used a safer pull. Obviously that is slower and more tedious, but if you want casual play don't play HC.
In that instance there are mobs that shield bash healers in melee range even if they dont have aggro on them. Gallants don't do it, but the monks and the charging guardsmen do. So maybe the healer was paranoid of standing next to mobs due to getting bashed earlier there, not really understanding which mobs were doing it. Still his mistake for not seeing that they were gallants, not guards/monks, but in Strat Live healers should be wary of all the mobs they shouldn't stand next to.
Guardsmen should be max ranged(if LoS is not possible), as they charge random targets and usually follow up with a bash if you are casting. But if you max range, you will have the time to cancel your cast before the guardsman gets to you when it charges. It will then just run back to whoever had its aggro.
Monks don't charge, but they attack hard and fast and kick. Same here, that they will kick healers next to them even if healer does not have aggro. Everyone should have an addon that shows skills like this on mob tooltips.
@@MidWitPride Guardsmen charge the player furthest from them then sometimes get a bash off immediately after if you're still within their range when they begin returning to their main threat target. Risk of being silenced is low because the charge already interrupts your cast. I spent many a Strat Live runs getting punted around on my priest because I tended to stay in the back of the pack, and if I moved ahead of another ranged would not be the target of it.
The Priest's death in the clip was a positioning error on both the tank and the priest. Tank LOS'ed heals by going into the alcove (he absolutely should have pulled them back into the hallway, HC run or not), healer reacted by correcting his positioning, ending up in the exact spot you don't loiter in in that section of the hall. If he was going to move anywhere, he should have ran through the fighting into the back of the alcove, although that mage might have aggro'ed the pats anyway since they were outside the alcove too. I can't recall the exact distance you'll pick them up from. So they both messed up, and the priest paid for it.
hardcore wow was the most fun ive had in a long time. I've been trying to play SoD and hardcore together and its a blast!
These are why I subbed, and I love his vet input into why these deaths could and can be avoidable.
I like how the clip has been up for almost 3 days at this point with 24k views, gets posted here and has 16k in 30 minutes lol
These videos are why I started watching this channel
not knowing the wheel bail is absolutely mind blowing at this point.
Been dying for another one of these. Helped me learn about the game before I started playing and encouraged me to start 👍🏼
I didn't used to think dying was possible, and I assumed people were just trolling when they died, but that changed recently. I was lvling a alt, a gnome mage. I got it to lvl 8, entered the troll cave. All was going well. I was halfway into the cave when I began shooting another mob with a fireball. I got 3 in, and the mob was 1 hit from dead, but the fireblast missed, so I tried to fireball again, that missed, I got two more resists.
I wasn't lucky, so I didn't get any health potion pickups, so I died. There was zero counterplay except not being unlucky. This can also happen to low lvl mages fighting boars, you get three resists in a row, and you are toast, escaping is not an option since it will charge you.
Me playing SOD right now this is great to see lol. I would never play hardcore but I love the deaths
Man that Dire Maul warrior death was hard to watch. Literally facing back to mobs 50% of the time.
The king is back
Hoping this series returns.
That warrior is padding his parse
Yes, this was easily my favourite content from you. Would love to see a comeback.
5:05 mfw I played classic for several years and been there countless times but never knew they could do that
Wow, Asmongold very cool of you to bring this back
For the dead mines one. I woulda popped fade as the priest, and ran towards the back exit asap as soon as I saw all that mess coming.
That hpal that died, Hobosmad, was keyboard turning btw.
10:40 picked up the add right away
i will never understand why people want to play hardcore in an MMO. Its one thing in other games that are a few hours long but like jeeze.
Speaking of MC's, I had an interesting experience like that in retail.
There's a 5 man dungeon with a boss that MC's one person. At the time, there was a trinket with a small cast time that could do upwards of 700k damage in one hit. Our health pools are around 750k at the time.
Our warlock casted that trinket just as the MC started on me, while other cleave is going on because in retail every class does cleave damage. To his credit, he did break me out of the MC instantly. On the downside he did that by one shot killing me with the trinket. Then was like "haha whoops." Mind you, this was in a relatively high level keystone dungeon where he absolutely knew that could happen.
MCs do weird things to people's brains.
Asmongold: "I love these, i probably will go back and watch these like once a week." 🤔
I know he's done a lot of these but they are so endlessly entertaining, I hope to see more I missed them haha
5:03 ...I literally hear Scorpoin from MK and his "Get over here!"
I actually started leveling a HC toon with my dad because of these videos. Neither of us wanted to trust a stranger to tank or heal, so we're going with a priest/warrior combo. We're currently at the highest level we've ever achieved (31) and it's easily the most fun I've ever had with this game
In stiches?
Very glad to see this back :E
Looking forward to see that Priest from DM in another compilation
Honestly, its the best mode. There are people everywhere, tons of good interaction. (Majority of) People are forced into friendliness because they need help all the damn time. You can finally finally do all those quests and professions you never finished in retail or way back when. And if you DO die somewhere in post petri territory and have a somewhat valuable char, you can post mortem transfer that char to an era realm for free. But the no 1 main thing, stuff is a challenge all the damn time, you need to think about almost every pull, especially if you're going solo. ❤
As a long time holy priest, that first clip was hard to watch. Dood is screaming and isn't using his shield or anything. No fear, no fade. Hell, he could've mind controlled that mob. It hurts. x_x
Not the second person doing a fat heal on themselves while the boss is 5 steps away 💀
8:37 gate's locked in lmao
17:00 I mean... He's very lucky he didn't get dazed from one of the earlier attacks. Running with his back towards the mob is extremely risky, I don't understand how people still do it, especially if you're playing HC. I learned it back in 2005 when I was leveling my first hunter. At around level 30-40 while running through Arathi Highlands. I never ran with my back against mobs like that, and that was 20 years ago and no Hardcore. It's so easy to avoid.. :(
finally Hardcore clips again :) nice one
Group of 5 in deadmines are the only group that who doesn’t know about the wheel safe spot
Honestly yeah I’d love these like daily or every other day. Always entertaining
am i the only one that pulled that whole boat in VC? i remember in Vanilla, we would pull the back and top without boss and tank it all then move to the final boss. my buddy remembers us doing it all the time as well.
I love these cause Asmon just ends up playing Captain Hindsight the whole time
"Theryre still at it... 😮💨" perfect intro 😂
I love this series man, don't stop !!🙏
blocks the dwarven gussy right off the bat
i havent played hc since i died to a power surge, pulled 2 mobs power went out for 1 seconds, then pc rebooted into a windows update which failed n had to revert lol.
WoW player from April 2005 here. I quit week before BFA release. I couldnt take anymore. 13 years. I can remember the early days and i do miss them, it was fun, apart from flight paths, you had to get on the next one along your journey. I was a gnome warlock. I went "of the Eagle" all the way to 60 until pvp reward sets up to rank 10 commander. If you can run to the BG instance that is........lol. I came back for classic. I chose a gnome lock........i was shit lol...heart was not in it, really couldnt be bothered.
ive missed these a lot
"roach out" ... we did it boys
Please keep uploading these, they are so god
12:20 he also stayed next to nova and didnt los the caster he pulled.
I'll watch the RWF in the new retail raids and think "Man I'm really bad at this game." Then I'll watch a hardcore death comp and think "I'm a literal fucking god at this game."
Hope you do more of these please
I miss these. I'd love to see Asmon do these at LEAST once a month
The amount of people that died on the bristlebacks in the barrens is insane
Hardcore WoW has been some of the most fun I've ever had in wow. I'm enjoying it more than the 2019 re-release of Classic.
i can understand those " Meteor " deaths back in vanilla when AQ first got released , but in 2024 come on now.
4:45 I'm also sad he got away. Just his yelling, he shouldn't make it past level 10
make more of this asmon please
This is content
this is painful. and by the way, raid 10 people, 1 Dc on healer and all will be dead, this is obviously unfair.
The craziest thing to me is that nowadays "six months ago" is considered "old times", and it is normal.
16:40 Deserves to live, just the fact that he thought of using his bag of marbles is impressive. Yes he aggroed stupidly, but shit happens. The way you react to shit happening is what makes the player. And he reacted accordingly because he survived.
The most baffling thing about that screaming guy is that I haven't heard someone getting that fucking mad at a video game since the "You stole my cloudsong" guy
Do those people really still exist?
They should have hardcore for retail. The if you die you lose your hero part
Honestly I'd just watch reactions to WoW deaths period lmao, even non-hardcore deaths. They're just that entertaining
58 druid got clapped by the Emperor. Ran it back to 60 with a warlock. Hardcore was superb.
Hardcore WoW was my best gaming experience ever. I miss playing it and love it so much. I can only recommend it. Greatest game ever.
Reaper spawns enemies and Munkle dies. (Munkledies)
Never played WoW / no idea what's going on - just watching Asmon's reactions are priceless...
Wait. So a paladin cant bubble hearth but a priest can fear and hearth?
