I jealous, would love to have my hands on a Virus C :-D Im quite sure you can make some really good sounding track with that one. Don´t use hardware that much but found it really inspiring to play around with it now so kinda hooked....hehe
I love synths, and Trance!!! Wish I knew how to play like that...I have a Arturia Keylab, forgot the model...a TD-303, Maschine Mikro MK3...and a LOT of synths and instruments (VSTs) ...also on iPad have SynthMaster

Never say never, suddenly you come over it by an accident ( thats what happened to me here ;-) )But as @cortruisse says, the JT-4000 is a nice and extremely cost efficient alternative :-) And since they are releasing an updated version soon that might be some good $49 spent :-)
@@CBSoreidemusic Its just a toy with serious limitations. Practically useless due its construction flaws. Almost bought one last year for fun, but after several months of waiting, I cancelled my order. What update do you talk about? I found nothing about it.
Thanks for the positive feedback mate :-D And a little bit eeehhh that you reminded me of that, only a few years now before it´s my time to feel the wrath of the rubber glove :-X :-p
I´ve read about that that several places and if you had two of them then yeah, guess the synth is way past its expected life span of certain parts :-) But i´m just borrowing it so for me the tiny piece of paper does the job for now 😅
Great job, did all the remakes use the jp8080 for all sounds? Less sidechain should be used if at all though, sidechain was mainly a thing in french house back then as Im sure you know ;)
Thanks for the comment mate :-) All sound except the drums/perc, fx and piano is from it. A lot of them are layered several times to get the right sound. Since it takes quite some time to recreate all these tracks sidechain really helps since it really shortens down the mix to make it sound ok. But sidechain can absolutely be overused and just look at modern EDM for that 🥲
@@CBSoreidemusic yeah it takes time to layer the right sounds. Thats why having more than one JP or JT can be helpful 😆 Actually I suppose with the JT you really could buy more than one sonce its cheap. I never use sidechain if Im making oldschool trance, simply because if they could do it without then, it can be done today as well. I used to love the daft punk use of it but EDM destroyed it and today music just sounds shit!
@@AnalogFlava Think with what I see on Reverb.com you can get around 40-60 JT-4000 for the price of one JP8080😆😆😆 So then you could layer it from here to the moon and back again!
Tenacity melody sound very cheap.. you need original preset from nord lead and jp-8080 can do this.. you need just square with pwm with LFO1 triangle and X-mod with noise on 2 osc a bit 3/100
Hey! Nope, non of the drums or perc/fx instruments + the piano comes from it. But all of the synth sounds is straight out of the box from the synth :-)
