    I'd watch a full version without the speed up bits. This is very inspiring as a fellow jp8080 owner and trance fan.

      Fantastic :-D Hopes it makes the workflow much easier for you, so much easier when the daw and synth "speaks" together :-) Had some small issues where it acted weird but a quick restart of the JP and all worked fine :-)

    Well made video 🎉🎉🎉 my approach is very similar, apart from the sidechain and stuff😅 seems like you recorded the first synth in mono right? Hows your jp8080 going into your daw. Via mixer or straight in to soundcard with hard panned left and right?

    • @CBSoreidemusic
      @CBSoreidemusic  5 місяців тому

      Thanks for that mate :-) Been away so why the late reply. Hmm, the first synth was recorded in stereo but it just had a very "little" stereo sound to it I guess. Left and right out is connected to my audio interface where Input 1 is left and 2 is right. I use the Native Instruments Komplete Audio 2 so its quite basic. So they are panned yes :-)

      Heeey, Congrats! :-D you are surely going to have a blast with it! The one I bought was from a local low cost shop in Norway so the one I used is probably not there. But just searched on amazon and something like the "FORE MIDI to USB Interface" should work like clockwork 🙂

    Out of jp8000, nord lead 2x, Yamaha an1x, and waldorf blofeld which is better in terms of trance music production...

    • @CBSoreidemusic
      @CBSoreidemusic  5 місяців тому +1

      I have only used the JP8xxx out of the ones you mention there so not sure about the others. But the JP pops up almost every time you search for trance synth ( as well as the Viruses) so I would guess that one stands out. But read that many use the Blofeld to so that might also be a good option.... much cheaper too :--)

    Just revisiting this after having some issues with my setup and the stereo image when I record my jp8080, so trying to troubleshoot...are you recording straight to your audio interface, or do you record via mixer first then audio interface? Id like to know basically if the stereo image I am hearing is straight out of the JP8080 direct to your DAW and also if internal delay was used or if a plugin is used in the DAW? Cheers mate!

    • @CBSoreidemusic
      @CBSoreidemusic  5 місяців тому

      Replied in the other post :-) But yeah, what I showed here is the straight out of the synth to the audio interface. I have issues with the volume pot so If its not being pressed as I showed in my first JP vid the imaging is completely off. Is your working perfectly or?
      As for plugins I used the Valhalla Supermassive one both for reverb and delay, so that might be why some of the patches sounds more massive than straight out of the synth :-)
