Olivier, I gotta say you are probably in the top 5% of all designing, creating, and building video producers out there. I love your comments on UA-camrs who dramatize their videos. Also a big agree on we’ve seen enough epoxy tables and buckets of epoxy being dumped on slabs of wood.
WOW! Very impressive. Yes the video was a bit longer than usual but the project deserved it. Design and execution are both exceptional as usual. Well done Olivier. A true visionary and craftsman!
Using table saw blade to find the radius for the pulls was a little drop off genius. Definitely stealing that! Exactly the type of thing i watch woodworking channels for. Thanks for the great videos.

Back on the farm, my father used a massive circular saw blade rigged up to a tractor engine. It was for cutting fell trees, and spun at insane speeds, with no guards or safety gear. He's still got all his fingers.
just when I think you cannot produce something more complicated than the previous project, you blow my mind. Absolutely love what you do and adding the machining side (my own profession) is very entertaining. Wishing you a happy Christmas from Nouvelle-Zélande.

That's a really beautiful piece of furniture. I didn't realize that you did machining and metalworking as well as woodworking. I'm training to be a machinist myself, though I mostly use big industrial lathes and mills. It was cool seeing someone do more hand-crafted, manual sort of machining.
Legendary work, once again a true masterpiece accomplished. I really enjoyed watching the video with all its details, humor, and charm. It was a real pleasure, thank you so much. ❤ Sagenhafter Arbeit wieder einmal ein wahres Meisterwerk vollbracht. Dude! Don't even think about changing anything. Your work is outstanding, you're funny and your persistence is enviable. I would sub the second time if I only could. Actually even the fifth time rewatching your "mouthful" joke I was laughing hysterically...
Oliver, hello from Russia. I do woodturning myself. I learn from you from your videos. Your videos, humor and irony are very good! I'm waiting for new videos))
I love the woodwork combined with metal milling. Craftsmanship of all kinds is fascinating. The dresser is stunning and functional and the arrangement of the bookmatched spalted drawer fromts is the icing on the cake!
Two comments: 1. Be careful that your clothes don't get spalted. I recommend you encapsulate in epoxy resin. 2. Tu parles anglais vachement bien - c'est impressionant!
Outstanding work, sir! Such commitment. I'm not sure that you could have made the video any shorter and fully told the whole story. Certainly I came here originally for your woodturning, but whatever I can learn about wood and Engineering is great with me. As for you not being a studied or accredited engineer, designing what you designed was far above the average. There was plenty of practical Engineering in your work. I have the benefit of having a father who is a journeyman mechanic and taught me all things metalworking while my one grandfather was a fine woodworker. When I picked up turning it was nice to have both skills to apply to what I was doing no, I didn't really combine them much until I was asked to do a golf ball display which was essentially an independently rotating lazy Susan. It was nice to be able to have threaded shafts in there along with locked nuts to support each bearing for each level of the display. Last, I really enjoy the way you handle criticizing comments, especially those who don't grasp your joke when you're complimenting women or just being light-hearted. I hope you're beautiful work helps you develop abdominal muscles of steel.
This video was wonderful! Your presentation style is unique and charming, and heck, I just love watching videos of people building insanely over-engineered beautiful things because they have a problem they want to solve and the skills and patience to make it happen. I’m glad you only showed the amount of “perfecting the positioning of drawer slides” footage that you did, because that part was stressful 😅!
Awesome job! As a victim of deep drawers and random folding, I NEED a cabinet like that and cannot believe they are not available! But I can see the work in it and suspect that I am also a victim of not enough money to buy one! 😃 You are a skilled creator of not only well-presented videos but also on beautiful, practical and novel furniture. Well done!
I love when I stumble across a "maker" channel where the person is funny and relatable. I'd say the video was too short, the narration was just right and damn! How'd you know I fold and organize my clothes the same exact way?!😲😂 I'm currently using two hanging closet organizers to achieve the same goal but hot damn does this video give me an idea of what to build next👍
Love the quality videos Olivier! Keep doing what you are doing. It's always a treat to see something exciting and not another epoxy river table. As we say in Canada with a horrible Quebecois accent: "C'est magnifique!"
"I spent 2 days making 4 custom ones, for as much money in materials alone as it would have cost to just buy some cheaper ones" - wow, as a fellow maker, that was a bullet to the heart, how could you be so cruel? LOL OUCH, but whenever I do that, and I do that a LOT, I also remember I'm getting experience in making things, and adding to my base of knowledge that will help me going forward. I recently completed a personal project, a six drawer admiral style desk but with some cool custom quirks because it's also housing a silent computer in a custom case behind it - and like you it was hundreds of hours part time between my paying work, (just the desk - the custom wooden case was...... an amount of time I won't reveal even under torture.)

Dude! Don't even think about changing anything. Your work is outstanding, you're funny and your persistence is enviable. I would sub the second time if I only could.
Actually even the fifth time rewatching your "mouthful" joke I was laughing hysterically...
Awesome video. Talking with your mouth full after the baguette demonstration really made me laugh.
Oliver, hello from Russia. I do woodturning myself. I learn from you from your videos. Your videos, humor and irony are very good! I'm waiting for new videos))
a clever and kind of silly idea, and amazingly beautiful to boot. Exactly what I come to woodworking youtube for. Good stuff.
I love the woodwork combined with metal milling. Craftsmanship of all kinds is fascinating.
The dresser is stunning and functional and the arrangement of the bookmatched spalted drawer fromts is the icing on the cake!
Not bookmatched but... contiguous grain patterns?
Two comments:
1. Be careful that your clothes don't get spalted. I recommend you encapsulate in epoxy resin.
2. Tu parles anglais vachement bien - c'est impressionant!
That us an incredibly remarkable build, young Olivier!! Thank you for sharing this project with us.
I even laughed at your corny sexist joke.😅
Omg 😂 first i gasped, i thought 'cheeky fu*k', then i laughed. Great creation 👌
Excellent content! Keep up the good work and change what you do as needed!
Phenomenal work. Love the commentary and the jokes.
Well done!
I'm OCD too, and I appreciate why you built that beautiful piece. Love it, Cheers.
As one of your longtime subscribers, I’ve enjoyed all the new changes least of which is hearing you talk lol? You’re very talented.
The Dresser is beautiful, and the Video is just right the way it is.❤
I did see a bandaid !! You must be more careful 😂😂😂
Don’t gain weight or the clothes will not fit !
Magnificent!
This may not be wood turning, but is sure as hell turning wood (into a magnificent piece). Amazing work, well done, literally.
Stunning piece of work!! Wish i could afford to have you make me a custom fabric dresser 😂
I nearly choked on my coffee with your woman joke, i laughed so hard! I miss the days when you could make a joke and people would just laugh at you!
I could only dream of having a machine shop like yours. I have said it before but you’re amazing.
