    When it comes to skincare, it’s all about good ingredients to help your skin look and feel its absolute best. Erica talks about our favorite moisturizers to give you a look into their ingredients, how they work and how best to choose for your skin, because there’s more to the delicate skin on your face than just being oily, dry or combination! Everyone’s skin is different and putting your skin type into a range just doesn’t work. At Lush, it’s all about doing what’s best for you and finding the right products with the right blend of ingredients that’ll bring troubled skin back from the brink, keeping it functioning in a natural way so your skin can look and feel great!

    I love that lush isn't trying to get ride of wrinkles or making those claims. They're embracing that, aging is a part of life. And it's beautiful. 🖤

    • @mdml0
      @mdml0 2 роки тому +1

      It's all just marketing. If you use one of their products that contains vitamin A, then you're reducing wrinkles like products with retinol. Their moisturizers hydrate the skin and reduce visibility of fine lines. Use their enzyme-rich products then you're chemical exfoliating to encourage skin renewal. If they really didn't want to get rid of wrinkles they'd just make cleansers. Any products you apply for hydration and overall skin health you are trying to reduce the effects of aging on the skin. 👨🏻‍🏫

    One thing to note:
    Once you open the tab, the expire date would change. So, don’t open it in stores.

    This was a wonderful Deep Dive!
    I'd be interested in seeing another like this, featuring different products under the same type of category, like:
    1) exfoliating/scrubbing facial washes
    2)non-exfoliating/non-scrubbing facial washes (in pots and bars!)
    3) facial masks, body masks
    4) feature the new soap formulations/soap bar shapes?
    All in all, LUSH is doing a superb job at these Deep Dive videos.

      Full of grace is not technically a serum because it lacks a specific active in a water base for fast absorption. It's a lotion bar with calamine powder.

    • @LUSH
      @LUSH  6 років тому +10

      Hey there! Magical Moringa is more of a primer that doubles as a moisturizer whenever we're in a pinch! The gorgeous Ghanian shea butter in it really helps to moisturize the skin while leaving it looking matte and feeling velvety!

    Personally, I love these longer videos. What's the difference between a cleanser and exfoliator? Is that something to use together as a team? If so, how often? Could one use it in conjunction every day? Is Lush going to start a loyalty program with points and such? Or maybe just sticking with bringing the five pots back for one free one?

    • @LUSH
      @LUSH  6 років тому +1

      Hey Aleisha! Our exfoliators are also cleansing but if you're not a fan of scrubbing daily, we also have facial cleansers to help remove daily dirt and grime! We don't have any plans on starting a loyalty program at the moment but you can still get a free Fresh Face Mask from our black pot recycling program!

I use full of grace as a moisteraizer at night, but i find it to glossy to use in the morning. Are you planning on making a moisteraizer beside the full of grace serum? Do you have anything with Squalene oil in it ( derived from olives of course) it is the first thing that has actually helped with my daughter's eczema, it only took us 20 years to find haha. I have tried so MANY home concoctions throughout her life and I know that the originator of Lush started it because his son had eczema ( unless I have been told incorrectly)

    I'm not so sure about the definition of free radicals you used. As a chemist my understanding of free radicals is that they are highly reactive molecules that have one unpaired electron. You will find these types of molecules in dying cells from doing things like you mentioned (smoking, etc...) but the dead cell itself is not a free radical. Once again a free radical is a single highly reactive molecule with one unpaired electron. Source: degree in Chemistry.

    Videos are so good! I want to see more! She has great knowledge and really explains it well. Just those between pauses and noises that she makes gulping mouth juices... a bit off for me 😑

      It’s smells kinda floral to me. Maybe like a rose, but not really. Definitely not like mushrooms. I personally don’t like the smell, but if I put it under a moisturizer I’m fine.

    In short, go on the website, see what each product does for certain skin types, look til you find a moisturiser that fits your skin type. Simple.

    I'm loving the videos! However, your explanation of free radicals wasn't quite right. Free radicals are atoms or compounds with a free valence electron which rob other atoms or compounds of their electron, creating another free radical. Antioxidants pair up with the free radicals so they do not react with other compounds. Without anti oxidants DNA could be damaged by free radicals resulting in mutations, which could alter the cell cycle, eventually resulting in cancer if the cell does not engage in senescence. Good try though and thank you for making the videos.

    I wish you guys would stop putting glitter into your products. The products without glitter dont give me yeast infections but the ones with glitter do.

      Hi Alyssa! Sorry to hear some of our products aren't a good fit for you. We have all of the ingredients for each one listed on our website so that you can choose ones that would be the best match for yourself.

    Because a lot of your products are made from fresh ingredients which is actual food, i think you guys should compensate your wastage of food by using a percentage of your profits to fight hunger around the world. Don’t get me wrong. I love the fact that you are not encouraging synthetic products. But whatever you may call it I still feel like you are wasting food which could fill someone’s stomach than end up on someone’s face. I know the purchases from your charity pot and fun go to helping the world fight major problems, one issue at a time. But I feel that you should dedicate a definite amount of your charity amount to be used, to fight hunger across various nations and use the rest to fight other problems. After all your business is built on the idea of using fresh ingredients.

      Hi Nishu! Along with working with our Charity Pot Partners that advocate for change in areas such as environmental issue along with people and animal welfare, we also have created our sustainable fund called the SLush fund. The Sustainable Lush Fund was born out of a desire to move beyond simply buying responsibly. Instead, we wanted to invest in sustainable farming and projects that replenish the land and support communities in developing countries by enabling them to pay fair wages to local workers. Our Charity Pot Fund is pooled and divided up amongst our partners depending on the level of support they require. If you have a grassroots organization that you would like to see support by these funds, I highly recommend directing them to become one of our Charity Pot Partners. They can find our guidelines and application form on our site in Canada here: www.lush.ca/en/charitypot.html and here: www.lushusa.com/charitypot.html in the USA!

    Why not just combine the water mist and the bar into one formulation? You could save your customers a lot of money. Why not make your 'serum' bar a lot bigger? It's simply a calamine lotion bar. Instead of pretending to be an expensive serum sold in tiny amounts without even any actives (retinol, bakuchiol, vitamin c) just sell it in larger amounts like a lotion bar
