The smell of weather turning, 1000 kisses deep, death & decay 💜 how come LUSH got rid of the old packaging though? I miss the artwork on the perfume bottles. They made each bottle look unique and beautiful.
TofuPunks i was just saying this !! i loved the artwork and yeah the packaging now makes more sense in terms of production but i loved the little stories that the art gave !!

don't know if you knew but during the LUSH Oxfordstreet launch they had a few candles in bamboo packaging but they were recalled bc, well, bamboo burns apparently and is a fire hazard xD

OH MY GOODNESS!!! I shouted 'YES!' when you said 'The Smell of Weather Turning'! I have NEVER had a fragrance affect me like that one does. It is everything. I wrote a review on the UK site about a week ago about it because I also have synaesthesia and it instantly transports me into the 2005 Pride & Prejudice scene at the end when Mr. Darcy & Elizabeth meet in the misty morning air. It is sheer & utter perfection in every way and I wear it always now. I'd also like to get Breath of God and I'd LOVE to be able to actually go into a Lush shop! I've never been in one yet. I haven't had the opportunity, but hopefully someday soon :) Lush perfumes (and all products) are amazing and worth every penny.

Vanillary has been my signature scent for years. :) I miss the old packaging of it though, it was gorgeous, now it's boring. I kept a small bottle of the old one as a memory. My boyfriend loves Dirty.
Fun tip! Put a wash card in a zip lock bag and put it in your pillow or with your clothes
Breath of God is my perfect scent... I'm not particularly masculine or feminine and yet it gives off the comforting clean scents of both

Rentless is for my feminine side, Dirty for my maskuline and Karma for somewhere in between :)
I absolutely love Lush perfumes. They're so unique.
I can't choose a single favorite, but one of the new ones that particularly stood out to me was Tank Battle. It's soooooo different! It's almost like metallic musty bubblegum.
I was so excited when you mentioned synesthesia (THANK YOU for making me feel good about myself by calling it a gift! 😊)... This is going to sound weird, but I can smell colors & "see" fragrances. The best way I can describe it is that I can see a color, and my nose will immediately be filled with a smell. For example, when I see gray tones, the smell of petrichor fills my nose. Different aromas fill my mind with pictures, like a visual in my mind's eye. When I first smelled "The Smell of Weather Turning", I could immediately "see" raindrops, trickling down the leaves of wild mint; an unpaved, countryside road, thirstily soaking up sporadic drops of rain; a grey, autumnal sky overhead, and the first chilly nips of brisk, autumn breezes stirring up loose bits of straw and hay from nearby bales. In protest of being left to rust, A weather vane atop a quaint country home occasionally lets out a rickety squeal, as it's lazily turned, to and fro, by indecisive gusts of wind. I always thought there was something wrong with me... Until I smelled various Gorilla Perfumes and realized each one didn't just have a story to tell, it had a story to CONTINUE telling (a picture to paint in the mind's eye) once applied! It made me wonder if perhaps its creators had synesthesia too, as I really feel aromas like this can't be created unless you experience the world around you in an entirely different way! Thank you so much for making this video... And for making me feel like maybe there's nothing wrong with me after all!❤
releasing perfumes and body sprays was the best decision Lush has ever made! I'm obsessed
I love the gorilla perfumes! They are really underrated. All the scents are so original, and last so long. You do have to be careful for the perfumes that have color, probably from the essential oils in it, can really stain clothes.
Anyway, I’ve been a long time fan of them, but I haven’t purchased and recently, since the reformulation, as the prices went from affordable, to quadruple the price.
Also, my favorite is Lust!!

I do miss all the lovely unique illustrations on the labels tho. lilies and decay and kerb side violet are my favs I think

In Ireland generations ago people with fair hair would use the bright yellow Furze flowers (Wind Bush they were known as as they seemed to thrive in windy areas) to condition their hair. Loved the old packaging on the perfumes. They were very evocative and added to the sensory experience. Personal favourites at the moment are I'm Home, Cardamom Coffee, President's Hat and The Bug.
Fantastic video, Erica. These stories are CRUCIAL on the sales floor. Being able to learn the history and stories behind the brand I work for means the absolute world to me. I would LOVE to see a series on UA-cam dedicated to single-product deep-dives really emphasizing how the product came to be.

Breath of god is my favorite because it reminds me of incense, Expedition Everest at Animal Kingdom, and car rides to preschool with my grandpa before he passed away (and what his clothes still smell like). There’s something about Lush fragrances that is so nostalgic, and the stories within them are so magical and unique to everyone

All good things ... Is my all time favorite. The bitterness and the sweetness of the ingredients brings such a "paradoxal" scent. I like to say that the way it came out perfectly it's almost witchcraft ! (Hope it makes sense)

Imogen Rose is not a young rose at all. It actually smells like a potted rose plant doused with powder to me. I like it. I have the one in the black bottles. Rose Jam is the 'young rose' scent.
My favorite perfume is the turmeric latte scent. Just wondering what the back story is that brought about the intoxicating scent of this perfume.

Your best bet is to find out and focus on single notes you really enjoy (also what you cannot stand). Perfume is very personal and kind of a journey. After you find those notes you've got a good base to start searching for what you'll enjoy. BUT blind buying perfume can be a little difficult in the end due to perfume having more of an interaction as well from an individuals body chemistry.
For instance, I absolutely LOVE Tank Battle by Lush but it's far from one of their most liked perfumes. Spice & herbal notes stick really well to my skin and turn very warm with my chemistry. I know I hate jasmine & other "white floral" notes.

I have used Lush products for my hair and skin for years. I purchased a large perfume right before the Rona and though it is one of my favourite scents from the store that I have purchased in the past, it smelled kinda funky 😐. When I used it for the first time, I immediately got back in the shower to rinse it off. I spray it every once in a while as an attempt to use it as air freshener, but it just keeps getting worse and worse. At this point it smells like a musty, old, antique perfume and it's still full and not even close to being expired. At first I was in denial, but at this point I'm positive that this was an expired product when I purchased it. I'm I'm so mad I wasted so much on this item 😩
The most intoxicating scent is WHEN YOU WALK IN THE STORE and the most CLOSEST was “Rainbow soap dough” l continued my research and come to the conclusion that DIRTY was the one and none other for me

Breathe of god is so good I have a bottle I love perfume but it’s sooooo expensive that’s what I love about the body sprays you get a better quality perfume that lingers and doesn’t disappear on my skin

Keviv yup. A lot of them are pretty dirty, hippie scents, but it a really good way.

Yes! There are tons to choose from and a bunch that are both more feminine or deep and masculine depending on what you're looking for
Wish they did more scents in solid perfumes since there are so many liquids but so few solids and the solids are better for students to afford.
