Definitely the best guitarist of this generation, he is the blend of all of my favourite guitarists - Bill Frisell, Pat Matheny, Jim Hall, Pat Martino, Wes Montgomery and still maintains his originality
Wonderful. No words to describe the level of intimacy, mastery, liveliness with the guitar and Julian. Just wonderful. And that smile. So wonderful sir. You are a true master craftsman of sounds.
We were there, a long drive but my 'God' it was worth it. Just sensational sympathetic dynamic playing, and that wee Collings sounded fantastic. The sound was exceptional. So, THANKS!
thank you Julian and team for sharing these performances. I'm teaching my kids what mastery of artistic expression looks and feels and sounds like. If you made all the live recordings available somewhere I'd happily subscribe/ purchase whatever...
I was there and would have said it was a pretty even mix, mostly full of couples. If the video gives that impression it's probably because the front row is full of guitar nerds who got there for the doors as, being a church, it was unallocated seating.
This is not meant to sound mean or derogatory at all, but man, I would rather pay to watch paint dry than sit there watching Julian fingering his fretboard.
Julian if you're reading this please release more live albums 😭😭😭
Be grateful for the ones you have 😊
His solo works are amazing
You are my favourite guitarist on the planet...humble, smart and so damn good!
Es un comunicador único ❤
Mesmerizing rendition of this beautiful song. Every note is ecstasy!
What a stunning performance from a simply outstanding musician.
You could hear a pin drop.

This level of musicianship is purifying for the soul. Thank you Julian for doing what you do for the love of beauty.
Thats the best chord-melody I've heard in a long time!
Simply genius.....
Beautiful sound. Beautiful soul.
This instrument in the hands of this master player sounds stupid good. 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Such a beautiful piece, thank you for posting!
Would love a multi-LP of live acoustic albums from this tour. So so great
Absolutely stunning rendition of a beautiful song, played with real sweetness and tenderness.
It's just such a joy watching you play and imagining where you go when you are lost in your songs. Nothing compares to that feeling!
This is the best that humanity can offer. Just pure joy
God I love this man
I'm weeping AGAIN. May the Gods of music bless you wherever you are.

Magical performance and loved being in the balcony for this one in Glasgow, thanks for making the trip to Scotland.
Me too, sight lines in the body of the Kirk were……sub-optimal. A great concert by a great player.
@@frankeec 💯
What a gig this was, was so happy to finally witness and enjoy Mr Lage live. Astounding.
Out of this World straight into HEAVEN! THX Julian XX
Please just put these on an album as is. So good.
We were there, a long drive but my 'God' it was worth it. Just sensational sympathetic dynamic playing, and that wee Collings sounded fantastic. The sound was exceptional. So, THANKS!
Incredible sound & touch!
What a gift.
Thank you Julian. Today was not a good day. You fixed it :)
Lucky enough to be there - sublime!
One of my favorite ballads since I've heard it on one of the best jazz albums ever: John Coltrane's ballads
Magnificent.
I don’t understand how he’s not the most famous guitar player that ever lived yet. How do you top this ?
I have tried to catch Julian in Scotland for YEARS. This is getting upsetting at this point 😅.
About as good as it gets.
Tears in my eyes
Beautiful and inventive playing. Looking forward to the Leeds gig!
Bravo!
Julian con la sua essenza come musicista dice che non si può misurare l'uomo perchè l'uomo stesso è la misura di tutte le cose.
He reminds me the second best guitar player in the world : Emmett Ray! Thanks for all your beautiful Music Julian. 😊
Pretty sweet!

Merveilleux !
Love this!
Beautiful song choice Julian!!
Great show, wow, what a virtuoso! Northern Shuffle was the highlight for me - would love to see it posted up here :)

Great video.
👏👏👏
Una maravilla. Perfección armónica.
So inspiring
Splendid 🙏
TASTY!!!
The only thing he and I have in common is that Collings guitar and it stops there, sadly. I wish I could play so elegantly like Julian.
Believe in your own voice and be inspired by Julian! 🎸
Agreed do not compare yourself to others, use their magic to boost your own
Hey man a 10 thousand dollar guitar is a place to start lol
🎉🎉❤❤
The best there is
First and jazzpilled
My Guy
😊🎉🇭🇹
I didn't know that a guitar could grow out of a person's body.
For those who don't know the song, here is a vocal version ua-cam.com/video/OtjHz4Ae6zM/v-deo.htmlsi=2s7GyQ1w_928JiFQ
words fail me
Collings guitar. 🙂
I think you really wanted to sing a bit. :)

What a talent! interesting side note - looks loke a room full of men - why is that I wonder?
women don’t like jazz??
I was there and I’m a woman ❤

Lovely but Julian looks super tired, get some rest, man!
Julian, we should jam.
With a Gibson L5 ...Charlie Christiansen pick up.... He won't return my calls...😂

This is a bizarre comment.
That's unfortunate, given it sounds both mean and derogatory
