- For the past few days, I’ve been craving a specific traditional Filipino meringue that I’ve wanted to make. I think it’s not just me; most of us Filipinos love it.
Here’s a Brazo de Mercedes recipe that you can bake for your loved ones. It will surely take them back to the old times. So, try my recipe and let me know what you think!
Ingredients:
¾ cup White sugar
1 tsp Cornstarch
8 pcs. Egg whites
¼ tsp. Cream of tartar
8 pcs. Egg yolks
1 cup Condensed milk
1 tsp. Lemon zest
1 tsp. Vanilla extract
¼ tsp. Salt
2 Tbsp. Unsalted butter
Powder sugar, for dusting

Correction: I think it’s not wax paper instead it’s parchment paper coz wax paper will burn at mag aapoy yan at sunog pati bahay ninyo.

It's stir (rhymes with "her", meaning to mix) your ingredients, not steer (as in turning a wheel).
