I can't imagine how that humble pantawid gutom treat, that we sometimes tend to overlook, has this beautiful yet quite sad beginnings. Kudos to Inang Belen's family for preserving and continuing to keep her legacy. Now I have a different outlook in this humble hopia. More than a meryenda with softdrink, this is Inang Belen's story we keep on preserving. :)
When your employees grow old with you and are grateful, nakakaiyak talaga. This is a video storytelling na authentic because it has heritage, family-oriented, and future-oriented at the same time. Kudos Tipas Hopia! I have to try one ASAP!
naalaala ko to nung around 12-13 years old ako (90's), sinasama ako ni papa tuwing bakasyong sa construction, ito madalas namin inuutang sa tindahan tuwing break time lol, tapos sabado bayad pag sahod na, iirc P1.50 palang ata isa nito nuon, until now hindi masyado ang tumaas ang presyo. tumatagal sa tyan til lunch time or after maguwian hindi ka pa din gutom :)

Tapas hopia is the best i ever ate, no other hopia brand come close, ever!, the only sad part is wala na akong makitang Tipas hopia sa Olongapo City 4 or 5 bago ako nag migrate dito sa Canada nung 2021, every bite of tipas hopia is a taste of heaven, sana magkaroon na rin Tipas hopia dito sa Quebec, kahit sa mga Filipino store man lang.

Amazing and well-done documentary. Hopiang Monggo has always been my fave.

Sadly, there are some knock-offs and imitators of the Tipas Hopia that sell more that the authentic ones. For a while, I've wondered why some packaging differed a lot, and I thought it was just because some product "lines" (if you call it that) used traditional/ original packaging. I only discovered later when my sister asked for _pasalubong_ that the ones I usually bought weren't from _this_ Tipas Bakery, and we argued why the ones I bought were significantly pricier than the ones she knew. I did not think they were different bakeshops/ brands because their munggo and baboy versions tasted the same, with a similar crust. I thought the _special_ flavors just had a more defined shape and denser crust because they were _special_ flavors. Now I know, and thank you so much FEATR!

This has been a source of income to our family since 2016. My Father buys and sells the Tipas hopia to different offices in Makati and Taguig. I am proud to say that because of Tipas hopia were able to survive everyday's life.
naalala ko tuloy back those our military training days, etong hopia na parang gold nmin eturing, believed or not, this hopia survived samin sa gutom every night..napaka memorable smin etong hopia ng tipas khit ngun hinahanap-hanap ko prin tipas hopia. maraming salamat po inang sa napakasarap na hopia nyo po. Godbless
I can tell how well the children of the owner were raised. Even if the business is growing and successful, the family stays grounded. They even still think of the masses, how they can afford the product so they can buy the hopia. Tama po be contented. Thank you for sharing your story! Very inspiring! God bless po and more blessings and success to all of you!
This video made me inspire to be always hunger for money, but to be kind and generous with the people. I wish a lot of businesses would be like this, kasi dadating tayo sa point na magiging successful tayo. Tipas is one of my favorite hopia ever and I wish this legacy would never end
We used to live 4 houses away from the Flores Tipas bakery hopia Brgy Tipas 1989 .Everytime meron hindi nabenta they used to call the neighbors hati hati kami i have ate them fresh from the oven. We even have the original recipe of Tipas hopia . Now that im 48 yrs old living in New York City hopia is always in our home until now.
As we know Ribbonettes was also using robotics in the fabrication of hopia from Japan because of problem in labor force. They were also the first to make hopia through the maestro of Mang Ben who train 2 pers. Mang Ben was introduced by inang(aling Belen) to the owner of Ribbonettes to start a new business of their own. We know this because we also delivered hopia for 30yrs. You can ask the owner of Ribbonettes and you can also feature them in the future.

Favourite meryenda ko to nung bata pa! Ka miss
Jan ako tumaba nung highschool ako eh ❤

my favorite . so nice to know the story of tipas hopia.. d po nyo pansin ang swerte ni Inang, ang nunal nya sa gitna ng tuktok ng kanyang ilong. d man yan nasa hingahan pero she is chosen to have that. mabuhay ka po Inang. salamat sa inspirasyon. God bless po, your family and your tipas hopia.
Thanks for featuring this.

This has been a source of income to our family since 2016. My Father buys and sells the Tipas hopia to different offices in Makati and Taguig. I am proud to say that because of Tipas hopia were able to survive everyday's life.

The best and my favourite hopia.
I'm amazed by her clear vocabulary at the age of 94!
Content that speaks Love. More of these please FEATR. ❤
