This video shows just how good AC1 was. For a game that came out in 07 the textures and lighting where pretty phenomenal. My favourite aesthetic about it was the colour palette. You might argue it's a little dull but to me it really gave a vibe of being in a memory, a 1000 years in the past and it was purposely done because when you came out of the animus the colour palette changed.

I remember reading somewhere that sculptures in ancient Greece made the penises on statues of gods small as it was supposed to represent that they were not overly lustful. Making it large would do the opposite and represent that they are controlled by their lust. Can't say for sure if this is true but if you're interested it might be a good thing to look into.

That highest jump in Assassins Creed 1 brings me all the way back. I remember I spent a considerable amount of time climbing that tower due to the fact in that game, climbing all sides of a tower all the way up are not always possible. And when I got in within vision of the top I accidentally jumped right off. I was legit fuming. But eventually made it to the top afterwards which felt like an eternity to me. But I really do miss a challenging climb aspect of the game it felt very satisfying.

The first Assassin's creeds graphics can still hold on to this day.. It might not even be close to the other Assassins creed but.. it's one Hell've game! And the fact that that game is older than a decade ago . Makes it even more Extraordinary! One of the example of ahead of its time

Fun fact: As a 11 year old I found an interesting mechanic in assassins creed brotherhood. On the highest point, if you jump to the left into the garden where you restrain Lucrezia, you can grab onto a greenery overhanging with your arms and survive a 150+ metre fall.
