Month 3 Post-Op Update with Progress Pics - Gastric Bypass/RNY/Bariatric Surgery

- It's been about 3 months since my gastric bypass surgery and things are going pretty well - aside from some expected and unexpected side effects to the weight loss.
You are looking amazing, including your facial skin which is glowy and beautiful ! Give it time for your body to adjust, because things move around A LOT for quite some time after you lose a lot of weight. If you would add just one protein shake a day, you would be hitting your protein goals everyday and your hair loss would slow down (and you teeth wont fall out either). Perhaps consider cutting off several inches of your hair to promote it looking thicker and updated while your hair is going through this 3 - 6 month transition? It would give it more body and look thicker. And PS you STILL look like you are in your 20's ! Bravo to you and it sure didnt take you long to get to what I would consider my goal weight (150) at 5'3". I get my surgery date tomorrow and you are an inspiration for sure!
I have to thank you for your honesty and courage in sharing stuff that most of us need to be warned about and we don't get the truth often enough. I had my surgery five days ago, so it helps to hear this stuff before it happens.

Thank you! You look great and healthy! I am starting the process now. I will begin my online classes in April and weight management meetings begin at the end of this month. I’m anxious but hopeful.

I'm so happy by the 3rd month you're happy you made this life changing decision. Thank you so much for your inspiring videos. Your authenticity, courage, and honesty is really helping me to plan and to cope! You rock & you still look younger than your age! I've always been told that, too....but now I worry without my fluffy cheeks will I have a boatload of wrinkles!?

Your neck looks fine. Looks like a normal neck to me. I have a friend and hers looks like a dead turkey neck. You look fine , and you are always laughing 😊. Stay happy!

You look amazing. Beautiful. Congratulations on all the weight loss. In your before photo's I think you look like an older 43 yr old. Your eyes look much older.
In your current photo's you look much younger, Or a younger 43 yr old. You could pass being mid 30's. What's your target goal weight?

My goal is 112 - half my starting weight. But I will be happy to just get into the healthy weight range - which I think would be about 125.

I am at 3 months now and I am worried that I am only down 33 pounds. I dropped about 22 lbs in the first preop and first week and only about 11 since in 3 month!!
Nearly everyone stalls for a bit around 3 months. You are doing amazing, though! Just keep getting your water and your protein and things will start moving again.

Ouch - lol. I do think fat is a great wrinkle filler. But, I FEEL younger and that's what should count, right? :)
