      Yes Rahul, we do that sometimes at home as the fish absorbs less oil when Rice flour is added.
      Good suggestion 🙂

    Great recipe. Will try it soon. Can we prepare & keep them in the freezer. If so while we put them in the freezer & bring them out for frying, do we have to defrost or straight away fry.

    • @GetCookingNow
      @GetCookingNow  3 місяці тому

      Loveina, Yes you can definitely prepare them and keep them in the freezer. You can fry them immediately after removing them from the freezer as the mince is already cooked before they are formed into shape 🙂

    Love your recepies - if I use tuna in a tin instead of fresh mackerels- how would I add the whole spices - would it have to be powdered??

    • @GetCookingNow
      @GetCookingNow  6 місяців тому

      Thank you so much Anita 😊
      Follow the recipe from where I add the cleaned Mackerels pieces. Instead you add the canned Tuna. Don't add the oil or water from the Tuna tin. However you will need to add 1/2 Tsp of our spice powder instead of the whole spices we added while cooking the fish. I've given the link for spice powder below. Also add 2tbsp of vinegar instead of 1tbsp that we have used because we had added vinegar also while cooking the Mackerels. Once the mixture is ready taste & check if you need to add extra salt or vinegar. Adjust accordingly. Link for Spice powder ⬇️

    • @GetCookingNow
      @GetCookingNow  6 місяців тому

      Maria, people put bread, also boiled potatoes. But we do not add it as we want the 100% taste of fish in our Cutlets. Do try this recipe like I have shown & then next time you can try adding potatoes. You can then tell me the difference after tasting with & without potato.
      Take care & God Bless!

    Looks delicious. Want to try it. But worried that I won't be able to debone properly and it will hurt someone.

    • @GetCookingNow
      @GetCookingNow  6 місяців тому +1

      GJ, We'll if that's the fear then use Tuna instead of Mackerels as it will be easier to debone as there is only one bone in the center and bones on the sides of the fish. You can use this same recipe for Tuna too 🙂

    Why we can’t directly take FISH FILLEH INSTEAD? Mackerel fish has many thorns.

    • @GetCookingNow
      @GetCookingNow  6 місяців тому +1

      Shad, In Goa we do it with fresh Mackerels or Tuna as the taste is generally good for Fish Cutlets. You can do it with fillet or even canned fish no problem 🙂
