To be fair the 4.0 is/was also great (before the EU noise reduction), just as the 5.5. The real shame will be 4 cylinders in 63 AMGs.
Those mercedes big V8s and this low note rumble sound will be always in my heart no matter how good and fast those new electric cars will get in near future. This just makes goosebumps on my arms aspecially with downpipes / straight pipes. Long live V8!❤️

Except the horrible drone. If you want headaches and are younger than 25, then it won't matter much to you. But if not, well you will do anything to get rid of it, even quieten the whole exhaust setup.

@@xXAlmdudlerXx really? in 2022 those flip phone styled buttons for dialing someone’s phone number (that takes up most of the space where a touch screen would be) is better than an up to date infotainment unit?
This 6.2 engine will be for ever in my heart
i am not sure if this is one of the most reliable engines ever built but its for sure one of the best sounding. Nothing beats NA. Just gotta love the time period 2005-2012 when Mercedes and BMW went all in with the NA engines.
Supercharged still sounds as good as N/A or even better because it has nothing muffling the sound like turbos do
It isn't the most reliable. All will probably have an issue with camshaft wear and hydraulic lifters at some point. The M113k was the near-invincible one (except for an oil pick-up thing).
It´s pretty reliable for what it is. Especially compared to it´s competitor E90 M3 (which was also insanely great, but good lord the amount of problems..)
After 2010 the head bolt issue was resolved, cam and bucket wear (and chain wear) is due to poor oil maintenance somuse proper oil and change as instructed and you will be fine.
You can fit black series buckets if your super bothered about cam wear for your piece of mind.
Stout engines that will hold 800-1000 horses on stock internals (even non black series engines)
I get 26mpg (UK) on motorway and 12 mpg when having fun (and making that exhaust sing) and I daily mine. Real Jekyll and Hyde quiet comfortable crusing with kids then tyre shredding modern muscle car when you go for a blast.
I drive the balls off of mine all day long. Change the oil every 3,000 miles, lifter additive, and MoS2 additive and you're good to go ✊
I absolutely love the sound of these. I will never get tired of that noise👌
Had the E93 (2010) BMW and did 168MPH on it similar to this C63 run. Had some of my best memories in that car. Not sure if it was just my engine but when it was parked in the garage and I cold started, its sounded amazing, the crisp goring noise it made, again not sure if it was just the acoustics of my garage but it purred with class. But Last week bought an C63 V8 (63 plate) and OMG what a car!! The cold start turning this thing on gives you an erection. This car is the cure for mid life crisises.

A friend of mine had once C63 black edition with a supercharger and build motor. Around 750hp on rear wheels. No traction even on good wheels after 190km/h. Thing was fun till the last drop of oil

Oh my god! I actually replayed this like 5 time times with my eyes closed. It's like a meditation music
I have a 2008 C 300 sedan tuned and I tell you this little car is a Little Rocket ship. I can only imagine the 6.2 V8 like this one. I am in a hunt for one and as soon as I get one I will post it on UA-cam. I have managed to have my 3.0 tuned to 326 at the wheels vs the 228hp at the flywheel. So this little one can surprise anyone out on the road. But this V8 tuned can be a masterful BEAST!
I also drive a W204 (S204) but only a C200 that sounds like a three-cylinder 🥱🥱🙉, whereas this one sounds really cool ✌😎🤙

The cheapest ones I see have had like 5+ owners and one is enough to ruin it if he wasn't careful enough. Also will parts still be available? Will they still be legal? Life is hard enough to struggle even more to live the dream. Anyway there won't be enough time or luck for me to ever get this car. That's just how it has to be...

Back in my dumber days, I did this and then some on a crotch rocket. I took a Busa to around 180mph (around 290kph). I unintentionally rode a wheelie at 150mph on the interstate. Buddy's bike was highly modified and I didn't heed his warning to stay out of the throttle except for the top gear. It scared the need for speed right out of me.
How I'm not dead still baffles me to this day.

He was gaining on it slightly, at a guess maybe a pre facelift w205 c43? If I ever get one of these c63s it’s going straight for a remap to remove that stupid power limit Merc put on it to stop it out running the bigger 6.2 cars.. these end up around 520 after that I believe
@@bigtommy5977 Models without P31 package were simply limited by the throttle body not opening fully. With just a remap and limiter removed they out run a lot of cars on top end.
