Guys I don't know how many times I have to say THIS IS NOT OUR CAT. That's even the title of the video. Insisting he somehow is just because he comes by and begs for treats is REALLY disturbing and advocating some very unsettling mindsets. Yes he clearly wants to remain where he is. That doesn't mean he should. He has a family already. How would you feel if your cat got taken in by strangers one day just because it begged them for treats? My god you all are like Gayle from Bob's Burgers when she insisted that a cat was homeless and in need because he was sitting outside...on someone's porch. I thought it was funny but y'all are saying that shit in real life and it's really unsettling.
I understand, ask the owners, if the cat likes you and you like it back, as a cat owner I wouldn’t mind someone else having affection for my precious! 😂 The more love the better, but I understand your hesitation (but he really shouldn’t be let free to roam around, they cause enough problems and it’s not really their fault, but their owners)
@BJGvideos Ginger has decided you will be suitable as family number 2. You might be able to discourage him with a spray bottle, or even a hose, but once they have decided you are staff, they're kinda hard to shift.
This is fairly common cat behavior. I remember a PBS special about a study of indoor/outdoor cats in England with trackers to record their comings and goings. One owner's cat would regularly disappear for a couple of days at a time. The tracker revealed that he was happily hanging out at one of the neighbors' homes.
