- The new 2025 BMW i4 Facelift made its world debut at the Beijing Motor Show. In this video, we take a look at the design changes of the BMW i4 eDrive40, from an exterior and interior perspective. Painted in Dravit Grey, this 2025 BMW i4 had the optional M Sport Package and a new set of 19-inch, bi-color wheels (Style 996 M).
Of course, the laser taillights are the highlight on the i4 facelift, along with the new headlights. Inside, the 2025 BMW i4 gets iDrive 8.5, new seats and slightly redesigned air vents.

So old alcantara sensatec will be not available any more? Which one do you prefer that or this one?
I think it varies by market. The sensatec is available in the US. I did like this new one.
This was The edrive 40? Also xdrive 40 next to basic 35 and m50 version ?

Someone told me the m sport with shadowline will make the grille have the same grille with the m50. Is this true? Or the grille design in e40 will never change even with shadowline option?
I think it's based on markets, so I don't know the full details

Is it still based on an ICE car chassis with a transmission tunnel ?
yes it is, because it the same body like 4 series, also in tunnel there is battery pack, so it's not just an empty space.
Remember: The battery modules in the tunnel means a thinner battery pack in the floor (or just extra capacity for the same floor height).
I wish ground clearance was a bit higher
It's because of the battery pack
When get the 1 series released, because so much cars are coming out but this is like 3 years old.

Gone is the beaver grille. Looks much better.

i thought that but if you look closely the centre of the steering wheel is not leather
Maybe it will get the update this summer. There is one more facelift coming

It will be interesting to see how well these EVs can compete with BYD in China, since they don't have any real competition outside of China where BYD is either overpriced or forbidden to sell cars.

Poorly is the answer unfortunately. MB and BMW in total accounted for less than 10% of EV sales in China last year.

@@supadupahilton6848 Because Americans know nothing of cars. Europeans actually know how to and enjoy driving. Tesla has an autonomic drive, bmw does not. They attract different customers.
@@Alexander711 Dude, I had an i3 and I loved it. Problem is, it broke down every week with charging issues. The car had 20k miles on it!!! It looked a million times nicer than the i4. If BMW can start building cars that are reliable Id buy another. The 2 series looks normal and pretty good! Weird part is, that's an ICE car which needs air intake at the front . The i4 doesn't need ANY air, so why put a grille on that belongs on a Kenworth Big Rig? I blame the C-suite - making bad decisions.
Right now I HAVE to drive a Tesla, cause I sure won't drive BYD!!!
I'm so happy that my order has been enqueued for production, 26th week which is the last one before the LCI. I do not like the new headlights, it looks really weird as the lamp was designed for two projectors but the LCI version has only one and the other one's place is just an empty hole.
The new LCI is a mockery to me. BMW has become less customer-oriented.
What kind of LCI? The laser taillights that are only available with the M Sport Pro package for €4,000? Or the high-gloss black kidney grille frame, which is no longer available separately for €220? The steering wheel with the plastic horn cover instead of being fully leather-wrapped? And everything will be significantly more expensive.
BMW is just trying to sell the version with the M Sport Pro package, otherwise the 4 Series Gran Coupé looks terrible. (this is just my personal opinion)
BMW continuing its trend of sticking M badges on as many items as possible, it seems. Also, I can't imagine CSL owners being too happy with their taillights now being put on to e40 models

Some one please EXPLAIN why is USA i4 doesn't have cool SEAT and ALSO the AUTO TOWING HITCH? USA BMW sucks!

@@bmwblog I see, but a lot USA customer would love to have it, 3500 lb isn't a lot. It just make non sense to me Q_Q Isn't that also why Rear BMW i4 have air suspension to adjust height for tow lol
More likely it's the US nannystate government not bmw. They want to control every aspect of our lives
Why the heck is it shown in China? I hate that since a while BWM is only focusing on China market and does not care anymore about Europe. I am very disappointed in BMW!
Because there is no other European auto show. So they had to show it somewhere. Paris Motor Show will have other things
Europe is so 19th century. 20th century belonged America, 21st will be China.
Everything looks cheaper and smells like cost-cutting. Seats would be ok for 30k car, but car worth of 80k it`s laughable. I believe customers will see through what BMW is doing here.
I don’t agree, it looks 99% the same, and i’ll order it with these new fabric seats. I also love the M-sport package front grille, the entirely black one. 👍
