IDk what youre on about, most of BMWs newer models sells awfully compared to previous generations. 1-series sales tanked by 50% when they introduced the "successor" to the F20. 125-150 000 vehicles sold annually in Europe with the F20, that went down to 60-95 000 vehicles sold annually after the "successor" dropped.
and every reviewer "It looks more aggressive" ... are we looking at the same thing? but maybe its better in person.. i saw the x2 m35i and that thing in person looks amazing.
I am really loving this new BMW 1 Series! It's design is very breath taking! I Just wish BMW will and they should sell it here in America! Hot-Hatch or Hatchback are really needed here in America! All that's left is a Civic hatchback and a Mazda 3 hatchback, maybe a Subaru Impreza. Ford, Chevy, and Hyundai discontinued their hatchback, which is very sad. Not Everyone wants a fat hunky, gas guzzling SUV or Cross-over! So Please BMW Please Sell the New BMW F70 1 series! If BMW does sell it here in America I'll trade my M340i for it!
All the cars tend to follow a pattern of design conditioned by the function and also fashion. Here's what people find similitude where the brand wanted "also" differentiation. After twenty years as a BMW customer I parted ways with the brand, deceived first with the 2016 320d (many quality issues, too vague direction, bland design) and, secondly, with the strange style cycle I call "rhino pathology" bound. This car reinforces what seem to be signs of recovery of the said nasal problems. In my view, BMW can never forget the meanings of its name, Bayerische Motoren Werke, where the engine is central. The Bayern element is present in the design language, not closed to the new but keeping from a certain conservatism an easy stylistic identification. Picking an old Mercedes motto, "modern aber nicht modisch". It's a refreshing model, even if it was not spared to the front holes disease. Maybe one day BMW understands that what mainly matters in the differentiation is the mechanic part and that any BMW client deserves the same overall aspect. Different front holes not imposed by aerodynamics sounds a bit kit for more money. Unnecessarily disqualifying. The now disguised (unhappy) involution of the classic "Hofmeister kink" suggests that many people was fired from the style department... I hope that BMW avoids the fundamentalist mistake and offers a decent leather choice. After all is ecological to use the skin of the animals we breed for eating...
The old one was better. It's FWD still, yes, but it was better. This one looks mid. I'm not sure I'll like the idea of dropping the ''i'' on Gasoline cars, I mean what was so confusing? How couldn't tell the difference between i5 xDrive40 and 540i xDrive? Smh BMW.
But it’s ergonomically worse without a rotary controller, and the FWD models are shorter and therefore have a choppier ride so they need it more, I presume the adjustable seat bolsters have gone too? As they had already deleted from the passenger seat. This car looks cheap, a shame because it’s a well packaged car but ambient lighting but no glove box light reminds me of the saying BMW on the drive nothing in the fridge, good review.
I have an f40, and must say this is definitely worse. Definitely uglier (in and out), no wheel to control the infotainment (witch is very handy), and the rest is all the same... Armrest in the back is cool, but then again, i'll never use it. The f40 is very comfortable on Highway, but drives like shit, i believe this will be the same. The base model looks like an active tourer, awful. The e81/e87 will always be the best hatchback ever!
Amazing, between the M pack and the normal version, almost no differences, only in interior, probably 85% of potencial customers for this car will hate the front of the car… not sport, seems not a bmw, very curved lines , similar to fiat bravo….and BRAVO.. you want to be lider of this segment , against mercedes with this strategy and no creativity at all??? Good luck!
The US market continues to get short-changed when it comes to BMW, safety features, and options. Starting for the 2024/2025 BMW Model Year, particularly X5, X6, X7, and the new 5 and 7 Series, the US market will no longer get fully adaptive LED headlights, which means your LED headlights will no longer turn left or right when you turn the steering. Also, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), ranked the 2024 and 2025 BMW LED headlights as awful because they are not as bright and there is a lot of glare in them, making them terrible. The high beam is practically useless. What is going on with BMW? Has raised the prices by about 35%, but it keeps cutting corners. Can someone shine a light here? Seriously? The lights are safety factors.
@@Phantom____________________ Yes, I saw it. Anyway, M3, M4, 7 and X7 are the worst.🤢 5, 1, X3, we can ALMOST say they are ok, compared with those previous mentiones. 😕
How have they made it look worse 😂😂😂 the frontend is awful!!!!! I had the previous model and though didn’t love the front I liked the car. You are kidding yourself if you think the front is more aggressive it looks like a Ford Focus the car looks depressed
so no one's gonna talk about how a non M model has 4 pipes meanwhile the regular 120i doesnt have visible exhausts. Thats a rip-off. even the old 120i had a proper agressive look
I like new g22 (especially m performance versions), i like new 5 series but for this one i'm sincerely not impressed. I see personally too much Fiat grande punto feeling on the exteriors, the interiors are good. Too low aggressiveness for a modern bmw.
That could have been me typing that 👍 I had an M140i and now have an F40 M135i. Luckily it’s fairly new so I’m not looking to change yet. But if I was I would seriously consider changing brands. Pretty sad really as I’ve been BMW for over 20 years now 😐
It’s as if they couldn’t make the 6 series any uglier. They manage to do it. Does BMW not care about their history and design direction anymore? The M8 is the last remaining proper BMW design.
What the hell are you talking about? Nothing about the new 1-Series F70 is aggressive or sporty😂 its literally a fluffy puffy Fiesta with bits and pieces of Hyundai i30 and Kia Ceed. The entire front is an awful styling, the headlights are a joke and the taillights scream stupid.. the interior is just as bad. I don't know who's designing these but seriously how can you go from what was a previous BMW one to this generic asian car brand. But BMW is destroying all of their models so whats a surprise. This makes the F40 look like a golden trophy.
@@bmwblog The M135 of this still doesn't look any sporty and aggressive compared to its own base modern. BMW annnounced a piece of trash and people should call it by the name what it is. This is ridiculously awful.
Ugly car, not deserving the BMW badge. The E87 and F20 were fantastic and beautiful cars, for an entry-level model. Ever since, the 1 series went downhill.
@@bmwblog I know what you mean in the video.. but there is no "aggressive sporty style" in the new M135. I guess you have to say it but deep down you don't think it looks like a sports car, it's a gently, family looking car. Noone that like M car will like this wife car.

Much improved front end design than the previous version. Hope BMW make a similar change to the 4 Series! A BMW owner for 25 years.
