- Hey besties! Choosing the right wick for coconut-soy wax can depend on several factors, including the size and shape of the container, the desired burn time, and the type of fragrance or additives used in the wax.
Here are some steps you can follow to choose the right wick for your coconut soy wax:
✶ Determine the size of your container: Measure the diameter of your container, as this will help you select the appropriate wick size.
✶ Check the manufacturer's recommendations: If you purchased a pre-blended coconut soy wax, the manufacturer may have provided recommendations for wick size and type based on their testing.
✶ Consider the burn time: If you want a longer burn time, you may need a larger wick to ensure that the wax melts evenly and does not tunnel. Conversely, if you want a shorter burn time, a smaller wick may be appropriate.
✶ Consider the fragrance or additives: Fragrances and other additives can affect the performance of your candle and may require a different wick size than what you would use for plain coconut soy wax. Be sure to check the recommendations from the fragrance or additive manufacturer.
✶ Test different wick sizes: Once you have an idea of the appropriate wick size, test several different sizes to determine which one works best for your specific wax blend, container, and desired burn time. You can do this by making several test candles with different wick sizes and burning them to see which one performs the best.
✶ Overall, selecting the right wick for your coconut soy wax can be a bit of trial and error, but by considering the factors listed above and testing different wick sizes, you should be able to find the perfect wick for your candle.

You are so welcome!
Thank you for the info.. I’ve been having such a hard time finding the correct wick/container combo for my Ceda Serica candles 😩
The most perfect video. Thank you
You're welcome!
Hey. First let me say I love your videos.. Keep making them girl they are great.. I am using a 10 oz vessel coconut soy wax. I use 9.2 oz wax w/ .8 oz FL. What size wick would you recommend?
Loved this video! thank you for it! xo
Hi what cdn number did u use for 22 oz and love your videos! Was it a cdn-3?
The answer is literally in your face No wonder why she never responded back to you 😒
Hey! I believe I posted it in the description box or the comments, I can't remember. I also mention it in the video.
Well i thought i understood wicks but then i watched this lol...THANKYOU SOO MUCH!!...I'm just curious whats the difference between CD and CDN wicks? Lol
WHOOP WHOOP! So glad it helped! The condensed answer is CDN wicks tend to burn cooler than CD wicks in most waxes. This helps when using softer waxes, like coconut blended waxes. I also noticed they burn much slower getting you more out of your candle.
Enjoyed! Do you wickless test when testing wick to FO?
Thank you! I have before but not now. I've noticed some of the FO performed differently when the wick was added so I didn't trust the method anymore. Although, it works well for others!
can you share your FO % for each as well? It could be a good starting place for us, even though our FO could affect it for us individually
Check the wax vendor why y'all ask common sense questions 👀 especially when it's added in the video 😒
@@EthersMysticalChildTarot8014look at you stressing out answering questions that you think are stupid. Stupid😂
I notice my pool for the 8oz soy 3inch diam candle, the pool is always close to full but never enough. so stressful lols
Did you find a good wick?
Which wick size do you use?
My 4 inch diameter candle reaches its full Melt pool in 1:30 hours ( 2 wick )😢
What are the wick sizes? May need to wick down.
Do you have any wick size and type suggestions to double wick a 3 1/2" wide x 5 1/2" tall glass jar using coconut apricot luxury candle wax from Virginia candle supply with added dye and fragrance?
You have to do TESTING no one can give you a direct answer it's called Trial and Error 😒
@@EthersMysticalChildTarot8014Why are you so pissed and mad everyone? Calm down. If you worked hard to find your proper wick/wax/jar combo…cool. Others can ask. Plenty will be specific. It’s not your video. Relax.
@@thisgirlisfancy Because people like you don't want to do the Leg work all videos tell people do your own testing and what do y'all do Beg for people results they've worked hard for It's sickening and this is why Y'all don't get a response or a limited response. BTW it doesn't have to be my video this is a open forum 🤡
Hi 👋🏽 so I use a 14 Oz vessel and a 8 Oz tin can and I’m struggling to find the right wick that goes with apricot coco Creme wax. Any suggestions?
Hey there. I use coconut-soy! Check your vendors candle wicking size guide chart and test based off recommendations first. Also watch videos of other makers who use that wax.
I have the answer however you need to do your own testing
@@viewsofayona thank you so much for your help ❤️
Do you reuse your jars after testing?
Yes to do more testing.
Sixteen seventeen closed their doors 😭😭😭
I've been away from the candle world for a while and I'm just hearing about it. Wow.

You sound like the biggest Lame and 🤡 You have to do your own experiments How dare you come for someone because you have a failure to LAUNCH. 😒
