- See below for part descriptions and additional information. I discuss how to mod the Ryobi one and two gallon sprayers to fit TeeJet nozzles. The four gallon backpack sprayers have a different nozzle design from the factory.

Amazing! I wanted to upgrade mine for some time and didn't know how, this definietly will be a great addition to those DIY Lawn Care. FYI, they do sell all of the items you listed on amazon for those who are international or in Canada. I can provide what I found if needed.
Please do.. can’t find the brass adapter
Thank you much for this video. I almost bought the parts from the wrong places and much more expensive. You should add the links to where these pieces can be bought.
Links to parts have been added to video description, thanks for the feedback!
I followed the instructions and it worked perfectly! Thanks for the video!
great video, thanks! would never have figured the M14x1.5mm threading of the ryobi wand.
I made this mod and use it for my yard. Works well.
Thank you for your video. This is what I was looking for.
Thanks for spreading the word.
Wow, you’re my hero dude. Almost lost hope lol
I just sent my 2nd replacement back to the repair center. I purchased one of these sprayers and it lasted 5 months. I took it back to the service center where they sent it back for an exchange. I got the exchange one in and it lasted 1 month. I guess they are going to send me another, 2nd replacement. I don't know why these sprayers fail. It just wouldn't pump the water. I took off the pickup hose and could not feel any force of the pump even pulling air into the unit.
thanks for the detailed parts list and installation guide.
you are welcome, but real credit goes out to the folks over at The Lawn Forum. :)
Exactly what o was looking for , thnks!!
Good video. I purchased all the parts but was getting a few leaks when testing. I might go back & add some plumbers tape, see if it helps. Thanks!
Glad it helped
I've had 5 of these sprayers over the last 2 years. Two of them provided free from Ryobi due to warranty claims. I've given up on these sprayers. When they work they're great, but I haven't had a single one last more than a season. I judiciously rinse after each use and I'm not spraying anything exotic or harsh. The pumps just give out. I tore 2 apart to find them fully corroded. And I can't figure out why that is. I'm done with them.
I've been using 1 for the last 4 years to spray fertilizers, insecticides, and weed killers. One thing I always do is rinse out the bucket and then spray plain water for about a minute. Still has about 80% of the vertical it had when new.
Thank you for your comment, I was apprehensive, and your review has me keeping the hand pump
i seasonally take the rubber pump parts out, clean them, and silicone spray them then reassemble with a light coat of vasoline.
Thank you for making this video.
Can you put a whole new lance, including trigger on it? Do you need to cut the hose for that?
the teejet adapter, is it 3/8 x 3/8 or is it 1/4 x 3/8?
Thank yoooooooo!
Hi im trying to find the part (M14 x 1.5mm to 3/8" NPT Brass Adapter) in canada but the link you provided (thanks BTW) charges 35$ for shipping for a 2.99 part. Do you happen to have the part number ..?
Hello, I am considering buying this sprayer and want to make the upgrade to the fan spray tip too. Do you recommend this and are you still using it currently?
I have 2 of the 2 gallon Ryobi sprayers and love them. I use one for my vegetable and plants and the other for my lawn. They are lightweight and manageable. The fan tip is awesome for my plants but it needs to be modified for lawn chemical application to avoid drift. I may buy these parts or this other piece I found on Amazon that may work.
How fast you are able to empty the gallon tank with this setup?
It's funny, I just tested this today to prepare for pre emergent spraying tomorrow. I did a bucket test and it takes about 8 minutes to empty a gallon. Hope this helps!
@@-37driver Yes, the pumps on these small Ryobi sprayers aren't very powerful. Pretty sure I saw other people documenting the slow flow rate online somewhere. Hope this helps!
