This track is a perfect example of how music can bring a level to life. It really hits home the feeling of you being a stranger in your own home and not knowing if you can trust/love the ones that you should be trusting/loving. I love the flavor text of when you look at a family portrait it says "It Hurts To Remember." God do I know that feeling when I get flashback of something I did to someone I love that just jolts my brain out of nowhere. The type of memory you goes years without thinking about & it just flash bangs you out of nowhere making you feel bad you did someone you love like that. Andrew Hulshult is a great musician and Dave Symanzki is a great game designer. Dusk was such a perfect marriage of two brain operating at the same level of how can we make this 90's era FPS being absolutely balls to walls good? Dusk shows that's it not's about graphic's that makes a good game but gameplay. Faith, another New Blood Game, goes lightyears farther then AAA big studio project's with the same principal Dave had making Dusk. Fuck the graphics, lets just have a good fucking time!
This level brought me near tears. Don’t judge me.
Yeah, same
When you examine the portrait in dusk dude's house and the only thing he says is "it hurts to remember" that made me shed some tears
With the floating and upside-down islands, the green sky and this ambience, this levels feels really otherworldly and surreal.
Also rivers of blood and Dusk dude finding his own house here adds to the feeling.
awesome level and awesome music
I remember that music, but with pain, and hours of falling into the void and restarting
