Nice apartment for a family. I remember when 4th and 5th Avenue were out of bounds. If you go toward downtown past 16th Street all the new high-rise buildings have dispelled that notion. BTW, there are lots of wooden houses in NYC.

Hey Cash nice apt. Like the dishwasher and laundry in the bldg. Rent is high but what else is new. Even where I live the rents are and becoming still ridiculous. Take care.
I can't get over how excited you get looking at these apartments man. There is no way, NO WAY, I would pay 5,500 a month for that. I get it, it's new york, but you know what 5,500 gets you any where else? Here in Michigan 5,500 gets you a literal mansion (if you can find one to rent) probably a pool. View of Lake Michigan. The world is yours for 5,500. Nah lets spend insane money to be cramped in a tiny apartment and fake freak out over how "Massive" the common area is. Not trying to talk trash it's just insane.
I totally agree. Scenic beauty is avalible for just over 10% of that price per month here in Wisconsin. And some places for $750 will include fairly expensive heating in the cost. And with a semi-decent and clean public transit system. *(It's nothing like London, England or New York City... But at least it's an option.) While I opted for a cheaper apartment with function over features. At $500/month I snagged a second floor apartment mod on a house. While the landlady lives downstairs is able to inspect on a moment's notice, it's super covenant for complaints and repairs. While rates in the area have gone up, she has kept my rent on a tiny increase year on year. So that $500/month covers electricity under a particular wattage used, heating and cooling included *(although it's one singular central air system so I have no control.) I get a small kitchen and small but full bathroom, a living/ entertainment room and a bedroom, for less then 10% of that place.
Ha! I am in the process of having a home built, and I see in the bathrooms the sinks and faucets that are going to be in my new home! Home Depot and Lowe’s everywhere!
The main house would work for a family. They could rent out the upstairs. My big concern is the bedroom windows on the basement level. Are they LEGAL? Or are they equipped with fast exit windows?
Windows at basement level….so on the other side of the glass is mud, dirt, soil and the foundations of the next building over. What exactly is the point of that?
Bay Ridge is south of 60th Street-ish. That tiny house on the big set back… I’m pretty sure the owners just rent the whole thing out, but it’s like a loft inside.
I like the idea of living in a city with street food, public transit, don't need to rely on cars to even go to the store, close knit, etc. However, I will never be able to live in the city because I like my privacy too much and the feeling of sitting on my front porch at 11pm and just having no sounds of anything other than insects/animals and the occasional car passing by in the distance every few minutes. It's peaceful.
I think I’m becoming obsessed with hate watching your videos lmao. You’re a cool guy, I love the quality of the videos but I hateeee what nyc has become. This is one of my favorite areas though, I come here when I want to “get away” so to speak. Not long before it becomes a hub for transplants though. It’s sad because I’m moving to a new city and now I’m gonna be a transplant. Gonna do everything I can to give back to that city though.
Park Slope we call "stroller ville"...it's where most young families live. You are in South Slope...what is nice is Prospect Park is not that far from there! Overall another nice pricey apartment
Right next to the BQE. Might have seen this building when coming home from Brooklyn at times to visit my in laws. That ship has been there for many years. Such a eyesore.
Videos like this remind me exactly why I left the US Mainland. All big cities are depressing. Never spent time in NYC, but lived in Detroit, LA, Chicago and spent lots of time in Atlanta and numerous other cities and they all are depressing as hell.
This is a nice apartment. My question is do they make the rents so high with the expectation that it's going to be people really wanting to rent a room because they are in school or something? These rents are astronomical, I don't care how nice they are if a family or single person or couple wanted these places they either have to be making a lot of money with one job or have multiple jobs which doesn't leave much time for family.
People rent rooms cause it's all they can afford in NYC. Generally most people would prefer to have their own but cant afford it. Nyc is not a good place to live if you want family time or your own apartment. You'd be better off moving to a more affordable state. Thats what i did.
@Bejewelled Battle Shorts Glad to see you haven't given up. On being a pos with zero sympathy to your fellow humans. "Giving up" on something unsustainable for your family, a place that's grossly overpriced for what you get, is not a person's failure.
I've been looking at my medicine cabinet with new appreciation ever since I started watching this channel. I am however looking for a new apartment with a sink sprayer and shrine space.
Id safely say if one MUST live in Brooklyn right now, south BK is your best bet. Not as cramped as the rest of the borough, just be sure to have a car, or be prepared for a good hike to your nearest train station.
I will never be moving to New York but i still have this strange obsession to keep looking at apartments on your channel. The madness! Hahaha

Yes to the bathtub!! And real wood floors!
Born an raised on 29street be safe looks nice n quiet
Would be fun to see a vid with some of your anecdotes of like best and worst experiences and stuff like that.
I love watching these videos. Especially after paying the $1100 mortgage on my 4 bedroom house on 1 acre in the country. LOL
Park Slope we call "stroller ville"...it's where most young families live. You are in South Slope...what is nice is Prospect Park is not that far from there!
Overall another nice pricey apartment
thanks again for another great entertaining show!
I would love to know how many viewers end up getting the apartments you show
Right next to the BQE.
Perfect timing, on my lunch break at work
That subway stop is actually greenwood/sunset park not Bayridge. My hairdresser’s salon used to be on 25 street and 4th ave.
@@ASprinkleofAnime Exactly why our daughter still lives at home with us in Queens. She's been signing up for every lottery, though.
@@panamasrose I wish her luck
@@ASprinkleofAnime: families do live in New York City. It's a big place with five boroughs. Those who leave have given up.
Of course we had fun! 😉, another good one...for roomies, in one of the better locations in Brooklyn.
Looks Cool and Cute!😊💖👍
I love Park Slope and the Prospect Park!
At 25th St. in Brooklyn you are neither in Park Slope nor in Bay Ridge. You are in Sunset Park.
Id safely say if one MUST live in Brooklyn right now, south BK is your best bet. Not as cramped as the rest of the borough, just be sure to have a car, or be prepared for a good hike to your nearest train station.
I wish did these for other cities. But I know what I’m looking for from an apartment from watching these videos.
I would love to see you visit Amarillo TX and review the apartment scene here!
The Slammer, at it again.
It drives me mad. Doors, light switches, appliances. Imagine being the landlord and seeing him treating your property like that.
@@carolynm.6328 Exactly ! He does this constantly.
I think if I have nothing to watch, I just watch your vids because it represents NYC.
I love Cash's hatred of dunkin🤣
Idk if you are the best real estate agent, but, I think you're my favorite.
Awesome video GREAT Place to live nice area
