I really wanted one until I saw the storage space being completely screwed by the battery storage. We need FLAT STORAGE SPACE on the floor... not a shelf.
Toyota Team, I own a 2010 Toyota Sequoia Platinum and was really looking forward to upgrading to the latest Capstone model. However, due to the new design with hybrid only models creates an issue with less spacing in the third row which is what many of us loyal Sequoia owners really relied on. This is a HUGE issue and I'm seriously contemplating moving to another SUV that offers more third row spacing. I do not want to move away from Toyota due the brand's best in reliability status in the industry and my own personal experience with multiple Toyota models, however I may have to keep my options open. Other than the third row criticism, the 2024 models look fabulous. Maybe in the future engineering will reconsider redesigning the third row to accommodate what current owners are used to. Change is good, but this one took a step backwards.
Hi, Dameon. Thank you for taking the time to share your honest and candid feedback with us as it helps us understand the needs of our Toyota Family. We have made sure to document your suggestion for future consideration.
Toyota is no longer a reliable brand. Have you not seen all their engines/transmission failing? Yet they still want to charge a premium for their vehicles. No shot. Mazda is literally more reliable than Toyota nowadays.
Hello, there! We appreciate you reaching out. You have reached Toyota USA, and we are only able to handle inquiries for vehicles being sold within the United States. Sorry Toyota but the 3rd seat is cramped. Jeep Wagoneer has way more space and better seats. Chevy Suburban despite not being as reliable has way more space too. I think being on a pickup platform intrudes on the space. Otherwise seems like a solid vehicle.
Super disappointed……. Had one on reserve for a very long time. Canceled my order immediately after seeing the truck/ storage. Price point is absolutely ridiculous compared to GMC and other peers. this vehicle is way over priced for lacking storage, luxury, and very bad decision only hybrid. I’l be leaving the Toyota platform after almost 20 years of loyalty and 6 vehicles.
Amazing car, great looks and power. be warned youll get 5 MPG less than advertised. 3rd row passengers have to be in upright fetal position and they wont be happy lol...good luck finding one without dealer mark ups.
i drive it like im scared in a school zone and i am only getting 17 at best. Normal driving i am getting 14. 3 things may be causing too much drag on my TRD Pro... The roof rack, the tow mirrors and the offroad tires. Otherwise the only time i have ever hit 23 was road trips on cruise control.@@simplyandrew8900
I just wish that you made a long version of the Sequoia and LX for us professional drivers. It would be great to have the option to buy Toyota reliability, but the luggage space is so small with 3rd row up that we can't come close to having room for luggage.
Their engineer said specifically when it released last year “our customers wanted the sequoia to stay shorter so it fits in the garage.” I have only read ONE comment in all my UA-cam research for that. EVERY other comment was for a sequoia XL. now the grand highlander has more third town and behind third row room than the 08-22 sequoia, but….not as much power or towing.
@@americandude3825 Yeah, I think most Americans, that garage their cars, have a garage that will fit a Suburban or Yukon XL. So either they never got that feedback or they need to get a better marketing company that can get a more accurate market sample. They probably just poled past customers, and they are customers because they didn't want a larger vehicle.
I don’t think the new sequoia will fit in my garage either, but the Tacoma fit perfectly in my garage. I really want this new sequoia TRD pro so bad now, price 80k do it worth it or not? If i get this I will not drive it everyday to work may be once a month 😂
@@chadnature81 I definitely would drive it every day as a company vehicle. I usually put 100K+ miles each on a full size SUV or two a year. As a chauffeur service it would be amazing to have the legendary Toyota reliability in a Suburban length Sequoia or LX. But, it looks like Toyota is not interested in grabbing a large market that would expose tons of people a day to their brand. There are thousands of GM and Ford full sized SUVs in my area just for chauffeured cars services, each of those SUVs supplies 10 to 20 people a day transportation: it would be great exposure to gain new customers for Toyota.
Serious talk why can't we get the GR Corolla? The dealership are Marking them up to much. And they are probably not selling well. Then you guys will discontinue it because it didn't have enough demand. 😑 because of greedy dealers/scalpers.
Fix the cargo space please. People buy these SUVs for space and towing. Either nix the hybrid or figure a better system for the batteries to allow a large FLAT cargo area.
Please make a long wheelbase version of this. I would buy it in a heartbeat. It would solve the lack of storage after the 3rd row seat is up. It’s a great platform. Grand Sequoia. Please make it happen.
Hi. Decades-long Toyota owner here, currently waiting for a 2024 Grand Cherokee Summit. None of these specs or features matter unless and until you can get these and your other vehicles on dealers’ lots and for sale without an obscene markup. Good luck. I’ll trade my 2017 Land Cruiser for a new one if you can achieve this.
I like the new Toyota sequoia and their features but not enough space like 2021 Toyota sequoia. Especially 2021 sequoia has more leg room and comfort on third row seat. On new sequoia third row seat is only for kids not for adults so I don’t think new sequoia is full size suv and overall no more powerful v8 engine. If you all looking for a full size suv with 7&8 seat go with other brands hopefully Toyota will make some changes
I bought a new 2024 platinum, in March and I love it. It’s just me and my husband and our three dogs. We are in our 70s, and the size of this vehicle is perfect for us. I’ve never had the third row seat even down. After 8 back surgeries I have a hard time getting around, but find I can get in and out of this easier than I was able to my Buick Enclaive.

I do love the overall shape of the Seqouia(except the TRD-pro) but i must say that Toyota has compromised on the cargo space😢.if only they can introduce a long wheel base.
Honestly who in the world do you all survey when building vehicles? Twin turbo? Zero cargo space? No room whatsoever on the 3rd row? Yeah, I'll totally pay $100k for that. Get lost, Toyota. Oh wait, you already are COMPLETELY LOST.

Hello toyota, i wish very much to sell this beautiful SUV on midel east you have a good market on this area and i think you will make Profits that you want I hope to reconsider the decision ; not to sell it at least in Saudi Arabia and the UAE
one thing that toyota forgoth to put on the TRD PRO was the rear 3 red amer ligths in the middel of the rear trunck door, just like the TRD PRO tundra were it has the amber ligth on the tail gate of how wide is the trd pro that the only thing that i see that in the sequoia TRD PRO dos not have
The 3rd row + the only hybrid option are the only reasons why this car is not perfect. also an auto all wheel drive system will be perfect for me as I am planning to buy one if that's available as I will never take it off-road. But credit for making such a nice car

Yeah, it has even less interior space than the previous gen
I agree I definitely need the seats to go flat so I can fit stuff in the back
It's funny that they are still showing that shelf off as a feature. Rather than a byproduct.
