I’m loving the battery widget and web apps. The new Lock Screen will take getting used to since I use the magnifier all the time though.
screen sharing client was improved with a menu of latest connections. Tip- you have to add to your dock the screen sharing client app by during any session drag your app icon to some place within the dock

currently installed on my new 15 inch Mac Air
One of the biggest changes for me is the ability to change the sample rates in the Audio Midi App so I can play Apple Music lossless and High Rez at its native rate. Previously this was impossible on the Mac Mini M2 but strangely possible on my Mac Mini 2014 models.
You can still do this I believe directly through the Audio MIDI App

Amazing update. Safari has no address bar for me and attempting to customise the toolbar crashes it... And that's only 5 minutes of using it.

Web Apps are a proper game changer. This should have been place ages ago. Seems like it would have been quite easy to make HTML apps a while ago, either way. Happy it’s here now!!
It's funny because the old school Dashboard feature in OS X allowed you to make web apps! But glad it's back now.

No, it’s not. WPA has been around for a long time, and many websites have provided this option for a while. But unless it’s a frequently used platform like UA-cam, Twitter, online office, and such, providing WPA has no use. And the way Safari gives is no more than a quick bookmark, which Edge has been provided for quite a while, and the web page isn’t optimized for WPA at all.
For MacOS users, Web Apps are something new 🤔

On os sonoma I find the sound on UA-cam cuts out randomly .. I have to make a duplicate tab and its ok again ..

I can’t change the animated wallpaper for some reason. It starts downloading the new one but cancels halfway.

I upgrading yesterday and I'm already regretting it. Autosave no longer functions and I can't edit jpg files anymore. I've spent hours trying to fix it. Looks like I'm going to have to roll back to the previous OS.
Is there any way to revert the starting screen to an older version? I don't like the image/password at the bottom of the screen.
Unfortunately not, that's the only option I know of
I have an admittedly absurd array of monitors and I run a Plugable USBC4K to extend my desktop and Display Maid and organize app windows with consistency. I’m now very curious if Sonoma will cooperate with these AND if those apps will jive with widgets. Hovering over update button……still hovering……..

Love osx except the shitty folder in lunchpad. The bloody folders keep moving when dragging icons into them when they are in the edge of the screen. Can't believe it's not fixed still. Same crap on iPhone.
I have had so many problems upgrading to a new OS in the past. If I upgrade to this new system, can I be assured that everything on my Mac will run as it is now? I am a writer so I can't afford to lose anything.

It's been very stable for me, all audio and video peripherals are working. Final Cut has crashed a couple times but that's not unusual.
I get full-reboot crashes at least once a day. I’d hold for for a bit.

If you were on the latest beta it may not show up for you since it’s the same as the public release

Why does Music app suck even more than in Ventura? I wasn't expecting this upgrade to take place without my knowledge; I had to install iTunes with retroactive to use the ipod classic.
one fatal reason why not : printer preset not sticking. this is critical if you do a lot of print (i.e. id photo)

Updated my Mac 2020 m1 2 days ago to 13.6 and my laptop screen display went blind, been using hdmi for 2 days now , hopefully this update will fix it

I'm pretty sure this update is for 2018 or newer macs. It's just that it's not available for download yet.
Hoping there is an Apple Mail widget in the future.
I think I would be more tempted to upgrage by a few really useful housekeeping functions such as being able to automatically delete junk mail.

Hello, may I ask a question out of topic because you are dealing with this kind of thing more often. Very short and quick question. Everyone says different things and I am kind of confused. please help. I bought a Macbook Pro M3 Pro. and 98% of the time I am going to use it as a desktop machine mainly for photo editing Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop for professional work. The question is, is it good for my battery health to keep my Macbook connected to AC power all the time, of course once a week disconnect from AC power and leave to work on buttery? what should I do? I want to say in advance that my MacBook Optimized battery charging is ON
I would not keep it plugged in that much. At least unplug when you’re done working every day.

If you have an Apple Silicon Mac and use Final Cut, an update last week increases performance!
The strangest thing is that when my iPhone rings, it appears on my Windows Laptop and not on my Mac mini M2 Pro even though both are next to the phone

I hate the way the new Lock Screen won’t show more than one account at a time. When I first saw it I thought the update had deleted some of my accounts. No reason to sacrifice usability for (very slightly) cleaner looks.

You can't remove them from the settings menu but you can delete the download!

Widgets on the desktop is just visual noise to me. I would rather a key command to a interactive widget presentation that having all this noise.
Yeah I'm experimenting to see which I want on there. Right now the podcast one is really useful since I don't have to open the app.
