Wow! As usual, you give incredible advice. I live in Rome, and my OS hasn't reached the point of eliminating the "hey" in "Hey Siri" and there seem to be no groceries in Memorandum, although my OS is up-to-date, but that's not the end of the world.

Hi Gary: I have a 2023 Mac mini with Ventura and have held of updating to Sonoma, hoping that any bugs would get worked out. Is it safe to consider updating now. Why isn't it "safe" to update? Sonoma has been out for almost a year. I updated on day one (beta tested on other Macs too). macOS now undergoes rigorous beta testing including a huge public beta test even before it is released.
On the Aerial screensavers, if you just stop using one of them and switch to something else (like a static wallpaper and a built-in screensaver like Flurry), they remove themselves after a while. I tested a bunch of them after updating, and they all now show the little downward-arrow "download" symbol, meaning MacOS removed them from both of my Macs.
@@macmost Hi Gary! How nice of you to take the time to reply! I had seen that option, but you can only choose between default and large, which is not that large when you are in 4K. I wish that, where the text size slider is, (which allows for a quite larger text size) besides calendar, finder, etc… there was « menu bar ». @@philipcaron6805 If the Large size is still too small, then you definitely need to adjust your resolution as likely other things are too small as well for you. With a 4K screen I like the 1080 (4x, HiDPI) resolution myself.

Great information Gary. My 2017 iMac would not download Sonoma and I was a little upset about that. After watching this video I learned, I don’t need Sonoma. I feel Apple 🍏 is playing with us sometimes. Thank you for what you do.
Thank you Gary. I find your video very informative and helpful to keeping up with all the changes to MacOS. I'm not a fan of the "Move All Windows out of the way" feature. I'm not sure how I activate the windows moving, it's always by accident. And, I know it returns to normal after clicking the desktop. But I find it annoying. Yup, that's the first setting I turned off after the update. I learned that I usually click the desktop to close Control Center and other menus, so I was constantly triggering this feature. I didn't even realize I did that! 😆

I have opened my email using Google Chrome and the picture/advertisement loads just fine so I think it lies with either Safari or my iMac? Hi Gary, question for you about widgets. With Sonoma is the option completely gone to see them in the side window on the right side where you could slide open that window to see temp, stocks, old pictures, etc? I really like that feature in Montery that I use many times per day and would hate to lose that functionality if I upgrade to Sonoma. It feels like keeping widgets on desktop is useless because my active windows are full screen on my 13" air, and it would be ineffiencent to open and close windows to see the widgets. Thanks for the video. The edit function when you take a screenshot - like adding text and colors - seems to have disappeared in Sonoma. You could do that in Monterey but now the edit line has gone ? Any way to get it back ?

thanks so much for reply , yes the desk top icon . one drive for Time Machine the other for storage .have them in bottom right corner , after start up moves one of them to top right corner . have swapped them around into different ports in the rear , still same results and even put in a 3rd drive . moves two back to top and leaves the same one drive in Botton where I dragged it . soooo frustrating , have gone into disc manger to repair , reinstall , rename , tried lots of permutations .. just stuck . running iMac 2021 and 14.2.1 many thanks for any ideas HNY Sean @@macmost

For the lock screen profile picture + the bar where you enter your passoword, I prefered how it was big and in the middle of the screen over it being at the bottom and barely visible. Is there a way to switch it back to the middle? Thank you

Can the new zoom per monitor feature be combined with the "smaller text" in like a 1440p display setting for example to fix the scaling people complain about? This is very interesting.
No, it wouldn't be used in that way. Are you talking about using a 4K display in 1440 resolution? That would be the same. And whether it is even a problem depends on the display, how you are connected, and other factors.
Thank you very much for the update. Could somebody tell me how come when I open Notes on my MacBook Air that say no Notes. I have to open Notes on my iPhone and then I have all my notes on my MacBook. 🤔
Check your accounts. You probably have iCloud enabled for Notes on your iPhone, but turned off on your Mac. Go to System Settings, Apple ID, iCloud, More Apps, Notes.
Hey Gary, my Cannon printer refuses to connect to my new M1 MacBook Air. I have a work around, save the doc to files, opening on my iPad and print. I'm ready to replace the ink jet printer....can you recommend a brand/model?

In Locations on Finder menu, on the left, underneath HD, inadvertently I lost the external for the flash and other things like that. I do I get them back on and access their contents? Thanks
Look in Finder, Finder Settings, Sidebar and make sure the things you want are checked. If you still don't see them you may have simply closed the list. Move your pointer over the "Locations" heading in the Finder sidebar and click the little arrow next to it to expand.

Should be the same. Connect your iPhone, go to it in the Finder, choose the backup option there. If you can't find it, call Apple Support and they'll walk you through it.
Hi Gary, great videos, keep up the excellent work. Could you air an issue which nobody is currently able to resolve with Apple; namely Why is the Pages insertion point so small? The ‘insertion point’ in Pages word processing documents is very difficult to see due to its small size and yellow colour and I was hoping that the new version of Sonoma would address this problem and enable this to be changed in the accessibility settings! Several replies in Apple and Mac forums on this issue have mistaken the ‘insertion point’ for the mouse pointer which Apple devices can easily change in size and colour but is a completely different issue. No-one seems to be able to answer the question of how to increase the size or appearance of the ‘insertion point’ and people have been requesting Apple to address this problem for nearly a decade !!! Is there a solution I’m not aware of ? Have Apple simply not bothered to address this accessibility issue?? Or Is no one using Pages these days so nobody cares anyway ??? I understand that Apple boffins don’t frequent discussion forums so the issue will not get through to them. Could you include in one of your future Pages discussion videos so that hopefully Apple will sit up and finally take notice. Many thanks. Once again - keep up the great work.👍
Technically, the vertical line in text is the "cursor" and the arrow you move with your mouse or trackpad is the "pointer." But so many people use the term cursor for the pointer that it gets confusing. I say "text cursor" to make it clear. I don't know of a native way to make the text cursor larger in Pages. You can change the color in System Settings, Appearance, Accent Color. This change the accent color for all apps that use this system setting. Normally each app has a default (like Pages is yellow). So give that a try.
Hey Gary, is it possible to add Share via Gmail option to macOS Sonoma Finder? I want to send a file by opening a New Message dialog from Gmail directly, not using macOS Mail app.
If Gmail is you email service that you use in the Mail app, then that's how it would work. But perhaps you mean you are using Gmail on the web? In that case, no. There's no way to use the Share menu to manipulate the web interface like that.
Gary, I've got a question regarding accessing specific System Settings. Prior to the most recent MacOS update, if I wanted to go to a specific System Setting, I would two-finger-click on the system setting icon in my dock, and a pop-up window would appear, from which I could immediately select the specific setting I want. However, the recent update seems to have disabled that now, and all I see when I two-finger-click is (from top to bottom) Options, Show Recents, and Open. Has Apple disabled this convenient function, or is there a way that I can bring it back by changing another setting in the OS? Thanks...
@@macmost Well, as it turns out, I did a reboot of my computer, and it all came back. The two-finger-click brought back the entire pop-up menu. I feel stupid!

Not sure what it is you are trying to do. Do you want to just turn off the widgets? You'd have to do that in System Settings. Where did you see that ⌘⌃w does this?
No, it is just for apps categorized as games. Those apps are graphic intensive, but they aren't trying to generate fast frame rendering or anything like you'd see in games.
Hi Gary, do you know if there's a way to make a Sierra bootable usb key (for an old MacBook Pro 2010) with a MacBook Air M1 ? Also, after I downloaded Sierra disk image, my Mac asked me to install Rosetta to open it and I did it. Will Rosetta affects the performances of my Mac ? Should I uninstall Rosetta ? Thanks
I suppose. It is just a matter of formatting it right, loading the image for Sierra right. I haven't needed to make something like that for a long time so I don't know the steps. Rosetta will only do something if you are trying to run an old Intel app so don't worry about that.
I just want to know how to change the sleep settings on my Macbook Air, the settings are gone or at least changed to a degree that make no sense to me. I don't want the computer to sleep so quickly, I think it's less than 5 minutes. I believe it used to be under Energy Saver but that no longer exists.
I love watching your videos even though I am a Windows 11 user. One thing I wish MS could do is bring back desktop gadgets like Windows Vista and 7 because their widgets now are a joke - it's mostly all news garbage! I don't want to see news when it is all depressing. Even when you follow what interests you, that still doesn't change much. I want to have a clock and Calander on desktop! lol Maybe someday they will, but it sure makes me want to switch to Mac sometimes. I like a lot of the other features Mac has too.
The first time, watched your video I had already found out all you pointed out... except for the live background folder location, though I knew it was in Library not the exact folder... with that being said the said folder does not exist on T2 chip Macbooks as mentioned here and Hey Siri to only Siri (not possible on T2 MBP) the only folder with its name ending with "D" found under the "Application Support" folder... there's "Facebook" mentioned in the name and there's one other named "com.apple.wallpaper" with a subfolder named "store" and the file size of the whole store folder is in "KB" so it can't be the 4k desktop wallpaper, since I only have just one downloaded bcos I was aware of their sizes ahead of time and had previewed the wallpapers ahead of time and the only one I was interested in... in a formal 14.0 install.
Look in Safari, Settings, Websites, then Reader on the left. Then carefully examine the list on the right to see how you may have set Reader mode as the default for some sites and change it.
Can anyone tell me why I can't delete 2 "Places" in the MY PLACES section of Apple Maps? It is an old work address and it shows up there twice. I swipe left on iPhone or iPad and tap on delete. They return every time. Deleted Maps app, they are back. They won't delete from Maps on Mac OS Sonoma either. The two addresses show in My Places under Waypoints on my Apple Watch Ultra as well. I've looked everywhere on line and all I can find is people asking this same question but no concrete answers. Thanks to anyone who can shed light on this
@@macmost bottom left of the dock FINDER icon which open a folder. This folder opens up on top of all other folders I have open. If I click on another folder that is open it does not come to the front of this folder. Apps like messenger, iMessage also sit behind this folder. All other folders do not act this way. This started happening on the latest update.
I had my iMac set to announce the time on the hour. I installed Sonoma and now it no longer works. I have tried everything I could think of but it just will not announce the time anymore. Any suggestions?

I disable Stage Manager, but the windows spring up casually, when i call Safari, disappear mail, sometimes one remain active sometimes not, and if i call another app, all disappear.Ther is a function to disable the multitasking setting? thank you
Maybe you are using Mission Control to have multiple spaces, or have some of those windows in Full Screen mode? Or maybe you are minimizing some of the windows?

@@Akiraruben Reinstalling won't make any difference. You need to figure out what you are doing that is causing this unexpected behavior, understand it, and change your steps to get it to do what you want.
The video lag problems still exist on 14.2.1 on a MacBook Pro 2019 (i9, 32GB RAM). This problem is so big for me that I'm wanting a downgrade to Ventura.
Very comprehensive tutorial, however, I wonder if OS Sonoma will run any faster than OS Ventura on my 2020 iMac (with 64GB RAM)? Ever since I upgraded to Ventura, it's like I have been "thrown back" 20 years! Everything runs slower; Booting up the computer, launching Applications, scrolling though a multiple page pdf, actually scrolling through ANY pages on or off the internet, transferring files from Flash drives, etc, etc. Although the talk is "faster, faster, faster" I'm not seeing this. Actually what I am seeing, in comparing my older iMac 2015 running an ancient Mac OS El Capitan to my newer iMac (with 64GB RAM) running OS Ventura is slower, slower & slower.............. (and overly complicated System settings............and fonts being "locked" in the HD > System > Library > Fonts folder. What is THIS all about?? ...........and oh yes, why can I no longer copy the link to your video and paste it into a Pages doc so I can save the link and easily go back and re-watch the video to refresh my memory on how to do this or that?
@@macmost Same behavior on [ both ] computers running OS Ventura - 2020 MacBook AIR M1 w/8GB RAM and 2020 iMac 27" 5K w/3.6 GHz 10-Core Intel Core i9 processor and 64GB RAM. Hardly likely BOTH computers would exhibit the same slow behavior. JFYI. (The only "issue" it seems I have is that "new and better" is not necessarily "new and better".)

Under general, I see: about, software update, storage, airdrop, login, coverage, language, date and time, sharing, time machine, transfer or reset, startup disk. I’ve looked in other places and am just not seeing safe download?
@@shelleybezona1691 You are in the wrong place. You are looking at SYSTEM SETTINGS, General. This is a setting in Safari, not a system setting. Switch to Safari. Then go to the SAFARI menu: Safari, Settings, General.
I watched your video several times. I want customize and change color. On my google browser After copying desktop folder I go to file. I do not get the NEW FROM CLIPBOARD, so the google works alot different from your Safari. When I go to search and type in preview a long list pops up and there's nothing related to clipboard. when I click on the clipboard in the edit menu all I get is a blank folder. Does this makes more sense. I'm not very good with punctuations
I'm following it right to the letter several times over. It doesn't work on google mac 14, your using safari. I copy the folder that i want to customize. I go to the file menu on top. it does not show the new clipboard. I go to the search bar I type in preview there is nothing there is a list that pops up I scroll down there is nothing there. I can not get to that new clipboard to customize the folder. I'm sure there's a different way to do it on google browser. If you still don't understand what I'm trying to tell you I'll try and make a screen recording to share with you. I'm also gonna try and search more for an answer. Thank you for trying

My biggest disappointment with Sonoma is that I was previously able to drag emails from Mail to Reminders. It was an easy, quick way to keep an eye on emails that needed response. Now it's gone. You can't do this anymore. Why Apple? Do we really need to look for third-party applications?
@@macmost I drag emails into Reminders window and all I have is title only (text), without that clickable "mail" icon on the right. Any ideas what can it be?
@@chrisinglik4115 Are you dragging into the list itself? I see the title, and then a mail icon to the right. I click the icon and it takes me to the message.
I love that they added separate settings for acceleration between mouse and trackpad, but god why won't they add the scroll direction separate? On a track pad it makes sense to use the natural scrolling, but on a mouse it is weird when you have a mouse with an actual wheel.
Thanks, I don't know where Apple got that horrendous idea to have widgets, the most useless and distracting desktop feature ever invented by anyone (no it wasn't Apple to begin with, it mostly started on Linux with the KDE Plasmoids). Good that you can fully disable that malarkey, I was holding off updating my current system until I was certain to be able to get rid of them!

I don't know what you mean by that. There is no new/old "appearance" for the Menu Bar. Can you be more specific about what you are trying to do?

Hi Gary, question for you about widgets. With Sonoma is the option completely gone to see them in the side window on the right side where you could slide open that window to see temp, stocks, old pictures, etc?
I really like that feature in Montery that I use many times per day and would hate to lose that functionality if I upgrade to Sonoma. It feels like keeping widgets on desktop is useless because my active windows are full screen on my 13" air, and it would be ineffiencent to open and close windows to see the widgets.

Thanks for the video. The edit function when you take a screenshot - like adding text and colors - seems to have disappeared in Sonoma. You could do that in Monterey but now the edit line has gone ? Any way to get it back ?
Nothing has changed there. Check your screenshot options and make sure the floating thumbnail is on.

Moving them? Where are you looking? The Finder sidebar? The Desktop? Somewhere else? Where does it move them to?
thanks so much for reply , yes the desk top icon . one drive for Time Machine the other for storage .have them in bottom right corner , after start up moves one of them to top right corner . have swapped them around into different ports in the rear , still same results and even put in a 3rd drive . moves two back to top and leaves the same one drive in Botton where I dragged it . soooo frustrating , have gone into disc manger to repair , reinstall , rename , tried lots of permutations .. just stuck . running iMac 2021 and 14.2.1

hi Gary, in SONOMA how do you gather all open windows on another screen back to main display screen or built in display without having to go to the 2nd monitor or 3rd monitor screens
One way would be to use the window switcher keyboard shortcut for that app, then the menu bar item to bring it to the display you want.
for one thing it does the disapearing widow even if you uncheck everything.

For the lock screen profile picture + the bar where you enter your passoword, I prefered how it was big and in the middle of the screen over it being at the bottom and barely visible. Is there a way to switch it back to the middle? Thank you

Sounds like you have to check your Language & Region settings. If that doesn't work call Apple Support.

Not sure what you mean. Are you using a web-based email site? Then the problem would be with that site specifically.
Can the new zoom per monitor feature be combined with the "smaller text" in like a 1440p display setting for example to fix the scaling people complain about? This is very interesting.
No, it wouldn't be used in that way. Are you talking about using a 4K display in 1440 resolution? That would be the same. And whether it is even a problem depends on the display, how you are connected, and other factors.
I would be nice if Macs with external mics could use the "Listen" mode.

Check your accounts. You probably have iCloud enabled for Notes on your iPhone, but turned off on your Mac. Go to System Settings, Apple ID, iCloud, More Apps, Notes.

In Locations on Finder menu, on the left, underneath HD, inadvertently I lost the external for the flash and other things like that. I do I get them back on and access their contents? Thanks
Look in Finder, Finder Settings, Sidebar and make sure the things you want are checked. If you still don't see them you may have simply closed the list. Move your pointer over the "Locations" heading in the Finder sidebar and click the little arrow next to it to expand.
Please explain as to how to rotate screen in mackOS Sonoma 14.2. In System settings-> Displays, there is no sub-menu '' Rotate ''. Regards.
It is still in the same place. Perhaps the screen you are using, or the way you are using it, does not support rotation?

Should be the same. Connect your iPhone, go to it in the Finder, choose the backup option there. If you can't find it, call Apple Support and they'll walk you through it.

Why is the Pages insertion point so small?
The ‘insertion point’ in Pages word processing documents is very difficult to see due to its small size and yellow colour and I was hoping that the new version of Sonoma would address this problem and enable this to be changed in the accessibility settings!
Several replies in Apple and Mac forums on this issue have mistaken the ‘insertion point’ for the mouse pointer which Apple devices can easily change in size and colour but is a completely different issue.
No-one seems to be able to answer the question of how to increase the size or appearance of the ‘insertion point’ and people have been requesting Apple to address this problem for nearly a decade !!!

Technically, the vertical line in text is the "cursor" and the arrow you move with your mouse or trackpad is the "pointer." But so many people use the term cursor for the pointer that it gets confusing. I say "text cursor" to make it clear.
I don't know of a native way to make the text cursor larger in Pages. You can change the color in System Settings, Appearance, Accent Color. This change the accent color for all apps that use this system setting. Normally each app has a default (like Pages is yellow). So give that a try.
Hey Gary, is it possible to add Share via Gmail option to macOS Sonoma Finder?
I want to send a file by opening a New Message dialog from Gmail directly, not using macOS Mail app.
If Gmail is you email service that you use in the Mail app, then that's how it would work. But perhaps you mean you are using Gmail on the web? In that case, no. There's no way to use the Share menu to manipulate the web interface like that.
How can I sort out screen not off once I immediately lock the screen option using hot corners ?
Not sure. When I set a Hot Corner to "Lock Screen" it will lock the screen but not turn it off yet.

Gary, I've got a question regarding accessing specific System Settings.
Prior to the most recent MacOS update, if I wanted to go to a specific System Setting, I would two-finger-click on the system setting icon in my dock, and a pop-up window would appear, from which I could immediately select the specific setting I want. However, the recent update seems to have disabled that now, and all I see when I two-finger-click is (from top to bottom) Options, Show Recents, and Open.
Has Apple disabled this convenient function, or is there a way that I can bring it back by changing another setting in the OS?

Check your options. Use Shift+Command+5, then look at options to see where you have them set to save.

Not sure what it is you are trying to do. Do you want to just turn off the widgets? You'd have to do that in System Settings. Where did you see that ⌘⌃w does this?
Can you use Game Mode for Lightroom Classic or Photoshop?
No, it is just for apps categorized as games. Those apps are graphic intensive, but they aren't trying to generate fast frame rendering or anything like you'd see in games.

Also, after I downloaded Sierra disk image, my Mac asked me to install Rosetta to open it and I did it. Will Rosetta affects the performances of my Mac ? Should I uninstall Rosetta ? Thanks
I suppose. It is just a matter of formatting it right, loading the image for Sierra right. I haven't needed to make something like that for a long time so I don't know the steps. Rosetta will only do something if you are trying to run an old Intel app so don't worry about that.

I just want to know how to change the sleep settings on my Macbook Air, the settings are gone or at least changed to a degree that make no sense to me. I don't want the computer to sleep so quickly, I think it's less than 5 minutes. I believe it used to be under Energy Saver but that no longer exists.

I love watching your videos even though I am a Windows 11 user. One thing I wish MS could do is bring back desktop gadgets like Windows Vista and 7 because their widgets now are a joke - it's mostly all news garbage! I don't want to see news when it is all depressing. Even when you follow what interests you, that still doesn't change much. I want to have a clock and Calander on desktop! lol Maybe someday they will, but it sure makes me want to switch to Mac sometimes. I like a lot of the other features Mac has too.
The first time, watched your video I had already found out all you pointed out... except for the live background folder location, though I knew it was in Library not the exact folder... with that being said the said folder does not exist on T2 chip Macbooks as mentioned here and Hey Siri to only Siri (not possible on T2 MBP) the only folder with its name ending with "D" found under the "Application Support" folder... there's "Facebook" mentioned in the name and there's one other named "com.apple.wallpaper" with a subfolder named "store" and the file size of the whole store folder is in "KB" so it can't be the 4k desktop wallpaper, since I only have just one downloaded bcos I was aware of their sizes ahead of time and had previewed the wallpapers ahead of time and the only one I was interested in... in a formal 14.0 install.

Look in Safari, Settings, Websites, then Reader on the left. Then carefully examine the list on the right to see how you may have set Reader mode as the default for some sites and change it.

Can anyone tell me why I can't delete 2 "Places" in the MY PLACES section of Apple Maps? It is an old work address and it shows up there twice. I swipe left on iPhone or iPad and tap on delete. They return every time. Deleted Maps app, they are back. They won't delete from Maps on Mac OS Sonoma either. The two addresses show in My Places under Waypoints on my Apple Watch Ultra as well. I've looked everywhere on line and all I can find is people asking this same question but no concrete answers. Thanks to anyone who can shed light on this
The finder folder displays at the top of all other folders on the desktop even if you highlight another folder. Is there a setting to adjust this?
I'm not sure what you mean by "Finder Folder." All folders are Finder folders.
@@macmost bottom left of the dock FINDER icon which open a folder. This folder opens up on top of all other folders I have open. If I click on another folder that is open it does not come to the front of this folder. Apps like messenger, iMessage also sit behind this folder. All other folders do not act this way. This started happening on the latest update.

I had my iMac set to announce the time on the hour. I installed Sonoma and now it no longer works. I have tried everything I could think of but it just will not announce the time anymore. Any suggestions?
Did you try switching that off and back on? A restart? Check the volume? If still no, then call Apple Support.

I disable Stage Manager, but the windows spring up casually, when i call Safari, disappear mail, sometimes one remain active sometimes not, and if i call another app, all disappear.Ther is a function to disable the multitasking setting? thank you
Maybe you are using Mission Control to have multiple spaces, or have some of those windows in Full Screen mode? Or maybe you are minimizing some of the windows?

@@Akiraruben Reinstalling won't make any difference. You need to figure out what you are doing that is causing this unexpected behavior, understand it, and change your steps to get it to do what you want.

Very comprehensive tutorial, however, I wonder if OS Sonoma will run any faster than OS Ventura on my 2020 iMac (with 64GB RAM)? Ever since I upgraded to Ventura, it's like I have been "thrown back" 20 years! Everything runs slower; Booting up the computer, launching Applications, scrolling though a multiple page pdf, actually scrolling through ANY pages on or off the internet, transferring files from Flash drives, etc, etc. Although the talk is "faster, faster, faster" I'm not seeing this. Actually what I am seeing, in comparing my older iMac 2015 running an ancient Mac OS El Capitan to my newer iMac (with 64GB RAM) running OS Ventura is slower, slower & slower.............. (and overly complicated System settings............and fonts being "locked" in the HD > System > Library > Fonts folder. What is THIS all about?? ...........and oh yes, why can I no longer copy the link to your video and paste it into a Pages doc so I can save the link and easily go back and re-watch the video to refresh my memory on how to do this or that?
Sounds like you have some issues. You need to get your machine checked out. Just upgrading the OS wouldn't do this.

Hardly likely BOTH computers would exhibit the same slow behavior. JFYI. (The only "issue" it seems I have is that "new and better" is not necessarily "new and better".)

How are you downloading them? If you are clicking on links in Safari, then turn off Safari, Settings, General, Open "safe" files after downloading.

Under general, I see: about, software update, storage, airdrop, login, coverage, language, date and time, sharing, time machine, transfer or reset, startup disk. I’ve looked in other places and am just not seeing safe download?
@@shelleybezona1691 You are in the wrong place. You are looking at SYSTEM SETTINGS, General. This is a setting in Safari, not a system setting. Switch to Safari. Then go to the SAFARI menu: Safari, Settings, General.

I watched your video several times. I want customize and change color. On my google browser After copying desktop folder I go to file. I do not get the NEW FROM CLIPBOARD, so the google works alot different from your Safari. When I go to search and type in preview a long list pops up and there's nothing related to clipboard. when I click on the clipboard in the edit menu all I get is a blank folder. Does this makes more sense. I'm not very good with punctuations

I'm following it right to the letter several times over. It doesn't work on google mac 14, your using safari. I copy the folder that i want to customize. I go to the file menu on top. it does not show the new clipboard. I go to the search bar I type in preview there is nothing there is a list that pops up I scroll down there is nothing there. I can not get to that new clipboard to customize the folder. I'm sure there's a different way to do it on google browser. If you still don't understand what I'm trying to tell you I'll try and make a screen recording to share with you. I'm also gonna try and search more for an answer. Thank you for trying

Which apps? What did support for those apps say when you contacted them? They had 4 months of developer beta tests to get their apps ready for Sonoma.
Very buggy OS. Touch ID is disabled after 2 days, revived by a complete shutdown. 14.1 does not correct this

My biggest disappointment with Sonoma is that I was previously able to drag emails from Mail to Reminders. It was an easy, quick way to keep an eye on emails that needed response. Now it's gone. You can't do this anymore. Why Apple? Do we really need to look for third-party applications?
You can still do that. I just tried it to be sure and it worked.

I love that they added separate settings for acceleration between mouse and trackpad, but god why won't they add the scroll direction separate? On a track pad it makes sense to use the natural scrolling, but on a mouse it is weird when you have a mouse with an actual wheel.

Thanks, I don't know where Apple got that horrendous idea to have widgets, the most useless and distracting desktop feature ever invented by anyone (no it wasn't Apple to begin with, it mostly started on Linux with the KDE Plasmoids). Good that you can fully disable that malarkey, I was holding off updating my current system until I was certain to be able to get rid of them!
If they aren't for you, then just don't use them.
