Wow just your rewrite of the personal statement alone shook me to my core!! Making me think of all the passive, bored ways that I have communicated even really powerful experiences. Can’t wait to start putting your advice to work on my resume and LinkedIn. #badasscareers
I am amazed by your ability to translate a regular sounding CV into a brilliant resume! Thank you for explaining things with so much clarity and experience! #badasscareers
Definitely! We don't want any distractions - it's important that they know you're qualified for THEIR job. Either that, or you start each bullet point with a transferable skill e.g. "- Project Management: Lead 5 projects with a total combined 600k budget to completion in under 6 months - Communication: Led 25 workshops...."
Amazing tips, Rosie! Loved the advice about showing accomplishments under professional experiences/highlights instead of bullet pointing the job description! #badasscareers
Hello Rosie, Thanks for sharing your remarks and reminding us of the obvious points. Sometimes they are forgotten and refreshing our memory is a good thing. I have two things I would like to ask: 1. Is having a table in the resume acceptable for ATS? 2. I think it is acceptable to reduce the margins at the top, bottom, left and right. What do you think? Is 1 cm acceptable? I would like to add a remark. For the dates and periods, wouldn't it be better to make it stand out? For the current example, it would've been better if they were placed far right. No? Thanks and regards.
This 'audit' format is so helpful, it really puts you in the shoes - and mind - of a recruiter 😍 Maybe you could also do cover letter and linkedIn profile audits! #badasscareers
Shortening down on the not so relevant older experiences was definitely new for me. 10 years ago they told us to put as much on it as possible. :D #badasscareers
Hey Rosie, great video! I love the advice of backing up your claims with figures and stats, now I've done this I can really see the value this adds to my CV. #badasscareers
@@BadassCareers Also, I've heard different opinions, do employers prefer PDF files of word docs? I used resume.io to create an aesthetic af CV which doesn't transfer well into word but my employment advisor reckons employers prefer word.docs in case they want to add notes/annotate? Any advice? Thanks!
@@asharice4043 You can also easily add notes and comments to a PDF. I would definitely go for PDF. Yet alone to make sure that they don't accidentally delete whole sections or screw up the format, if they might be printing it out.
I have learned so much from you. I truly value your videos. Even when I still have lots to learn, I feel more confident. Thank you so much! #badasscareers
Hi Rossie!! #badasscareers!! I´m ready for my new challenge, after more than 12 years at the same company, I would like to relocate and challenge myself by facing not only a new professional challenge but also as a person, by traveling worldwide for a new adventure!!! I would like to check my resume and give me some tips!
Hey Pablo! Sounds like an exciting adventure ahead of you! You can email hello@badasscareers.com and I can give you more information on how we can work together on your resume 🙌🏼
Hey there! I don't have any resume audit giveaways going at the moment, but make sure you're subscribed here and following me on Instagram to catch any that might come up! ⚡
firstly, an ATS will destroy someones hard work Secondly, recruiters with no respect to others decades of hard work will, disrespecting adjectives which an individual has worded and worked so hard to earn. Please guide as to what pleases you as a recruiter, when one has no clue about the company and have just job title, list of responsibilities and qualifications as a go to reference. You want stories and then you call it a blab !!! What do you exactly want? Not everyone is in the field of advertising and know how to sell themselves, but they are definitely good at their job. So you want stories and not skills. Is that it ??!! You are so bored before you start, you just scroll the mouse down with no interest. Playing Demi-Gods
@k_something6124 its not constructive criticism. It's a difference in opinion. Writing resumes nowadays is a full-time job in itself. Different recruiters ask for different things, that is also hard to track. Don't even get me started with ATS. They want you to sell, but they want you to sell in 5 words.
Hey friends! Tell me, what did you learn? Remember to use #badasscareers for a chance to get your resume audited! 🤗

Hey Basil,
So glad this video was helpful! Yep, the ATS can read tables and it should be fine do you to reduce the margins by 1cm 😊
Thank you for the tip that we should focus on highlights rather than describing the whole job #badasscareers
Absolutely! It's the trailer, not the feature film!
