  • If your Candy tumble dryer has stopped heating up then it is likely that your heater element needs replacing. New heaters can be found here www.ransomspares.co.uk/parts/...

My Candy tumble dryer was a different model but the steps were all exactly the same, although there was a different type of single piece 3 pin connector. I had watched this video first, so I was panicked a bit when I opened the box and saw the difference immediately! However on disassembly my dryer matched the part I had ordered so that was a relief. Make sure you check the compatibility of the parts with your specific model before ordering.
One part I had a little trouble with was engaging the hooks on the back of the heater assembly. They did not seem to protrude quite enough to catch the lip of the dryer body. However, on closer inspection it seemed the back of the heater assembly body was a little concaved, perhaps in transit. With a little bit of gentle manipulation I was able to straighten it out and the hooks were then perfectly positioned.
Thanks for the very helpful video!

By following these instructions I was able to repair my Candy drier in exactly the same way. The hardest part is getting that little plastic fastener thingy to go back in the hole... Took a fair few goes before I got it to poke through the hole again hence pull it all the way out with the thin pliers. Your site had the right part available too

Thanks so much for this video. I bought the unit from your website (at an excellent price) and fitted it really easily, saving myself over £80. Thanks again 😀😀

We bought the heater for this it was easy to fit apart from getting the plastic through the little hole - took forever - you must have slimmer fingers then me .

Thanks for the upload, I fitted the element but when doing so I noticed my dryer only had 3 wires and no white 1? I rung the supplier and they confirmed the element was the right 1 for my dryer model. I tested the dryer anyway and is now working but is it safe to use?
    Thanks
