AFFILIATE LINK DISCLOSURE: Friends, making a quality Loloho video is kind of like making sausage - only slightly more violent. It's a ridiculous amount of work that typically involves high dollar camera drops, blue-screen-of-death computer crashes, and at least one angry shotgun wielding old man shouting, “Hey! Get the hell outta here!” Once the final video is posted, rewards here on UA-cam are few and far between (unless you are a masochist who enjoys being verbally abused by anonymous trolls). One saving grace is our affiliate links. JUST CLICKING THESE LINKS HELPS TO SUPPORT OUR LITTLE SHOW. Think of this clicking as like tipping - except that it doesn't cost you anything extra! If you eventually make a purchase via one of our affiliate links, we will receive a few pennies (and Sean typically invests these pennies in duct tape and video gear). Again, it doesn't cost you anything to click these links, and it's a great help to us. As always, safe travels, happy camping, and THANK YOU!

It did at the time, but eventually we replaced all of our injectors at around 130,000 miles. we have used it with every oil change on our new injectors. We now have 100,000 miles on those injectors. I the other archoil products like the the diesel fuel cleaner are very good also.

I just sold my 2000 7.3 with 203,000 miles. I have used both products for YEARS. The guy who bought the truck contacted me after he had an oil analysis done and he shared the results. I believe it was Blackstone who did the check. They said the engine was in amazing condition. I was religious about changing the oil every 5,000 miles, non-synthetic and adding the Archoil. I now have a 2021 6.7 and will continue to use the additive. It really does work.

Non-synthetic two-stroke oil tablespoon for the 7.3 liter diesel is commonly used in the desert with high temperatures as the flash point at higher temperatures and the viscosity of diesel fuel..
I use StarTron and stanadyne fuel additive. I look forward to using archiol additive on a separate tank. But the issue is on the synthetic additives is a no-no for the early models before good quality synthetics were used. I can hear the crack in the explosion when the engine starts much louder possibly due to other unknown reasons.
I use that 3 &4 Valvoline break oil and Valvoline synthetic transmission fluid which is acceptable for older engines, red container. I've had no trouble with the transmission and check the filter and bottom a pan & had an external round magnet which is clear from debris.
I would like to hear if there's any synthetic compatible oils for the 7.3 l diesel which is not designed for any synthetics. Valvoline would be more trusted.

I remember the first time I tried the archoil fuel additive, it went in a 93 mercury grand marquis with 4.6 v8. I put it in the already full fuel tank, waited a few minutes and started the car. After it ran for about 20 seconds the engine just got really quiet. I never realized how much noise the injectors and valve train had been making, until it went away. I am absolutely sold on archoil. I put some of the oil additive in my brother's 05 6.0, it was starting really rough in the morning, smoking a lot etc. I put a bottle in the oil and idled the truck for a couple minutes. The next morning the truck started perfectly, and ran smoothly, no smoke.

There's lots of products out there. I've ALWAYS preferred Lucas oil treatment and had a Geo Tracker with 350,000 miles on it when I hubby changed the rubber in the engine. He said the engine looked brand spanking new and I wish I'd taken pictures. it was amazing. Just goes to show that if you take good care of a vehicle then she will take good care of you. I'd still have that Geo if I hadn't moved overseas and space was at a premium in the shipping container. it was a 1990. The motor rebuilt in 2003 and sold in 2005. It was still running strong last I heard. And diesels run longer than that from my experience. Hi to Christy and am looking forward to another loloho video. you guys are really fun to watch. Tfs

Archoil now makes a diesel fuel system cleaner that claims to clean the turbo. I thought it seemed impossible, but I was so impressed with their other products that I gave it a try. My 6.0 had been down on power, blowing black smoke, the local diesel techs told me it was probably my vgt vanes sticking. The archoil product has Un stuck my turbo! I couldn't beleive it! It took the entire tank full to do it, but my truck is running great now!

Another additive that is made for diesel engines is sold at WallMart. It is pricey but easily obtainable. The name is MotorKote. Sold by the quarts and gallons, we have run this in our race car hauler when we lost an injector. Or we thought so. This stuff isn't snake oil, as the inventor says your money back if it doesn't work. But it does. Like LoLoHo said, works very quickly. Just a few driving minutes and your hooked.

I'm glad it worked for you. This is the first I've heard of that brand. Every now and then I'll hear an add for hotshot secret stiction eliminator. Have never tried it myself. As for a lubricant the Truck drivers seem to swear by Motor Kote. Again I have never used them myself. Although someday when I'm ready to spend the extra money I'm thinking about adding some Motor Kote when I get an oil change! If you happen to use either product please let us know how they work. Oh and the Motor Kote also sells some stuff in a spray that they claim is good for hinges and such.

UA-cam is one of the few areas of life where actually doing more work and trying to put out a quality video can be punished (or viewed as suspect) in the marketplace. When I see a video like this I think "could be some guy telling it like it is, could be some guy telling it like he was paid too".
Since it is so important to your mental stability next time you wanna be 100% cleared of being suspect, consider starting the truck, adding the product, then showing the difference in 40 miles as you claimed. This can all be verified by showing the date and time as well as the obvious same day conditions. This wouldn't take long and would add considerable more verification to your claims. For all we know you rebuilt that entire motor for the results. This is coming from a guy who thinks oil companies are suspect for not addressing hyperlubes like this publicly to their customers. One engine can end any debate over hyperlubes. Oil lab results before then after hyperlubes...but no-one does that. Why? I don't know.

John Norris Navistar designed our 6.0L as well, but I think your model has enjoyed much better longevity. Our 6.0L was a redesign intended to meet the latest emission requirements (and ironically, that environmental apparatus is what causes 6.0L engines to suffer catastrophic failures). I think you would benefit from AR6100 in your fuel, because most modern fuels are mediocre. As for the oil additive, it worked wonders on our ailing 6.0L. If you do decide to try these products, be sure to check your MPG before and after. I will be interested to hear from viewers who try this stuff.

+Long Long Honeymoon Hey there! I purchased the AR6100 and AR9100 for my truck on its last oil change. I was experiencing some periodic injector stiction prior to the maintenance and behold it has gone away and not returned!
My truck was getting between 10-12 MPG (city) before the ArchOil additives and on its last fill up the result was just under 15 MPG. I've not done any long distance highway driving lately but I am expecting to see something around 20+ MPG. It seems to get more low-end power and sounds like it is running more smoothly to boot.

The truck 100k miles later will start most recently at 10 degrees altho not happy it will start.250000 miles on the clock and the most bang for the buck is the marvel mystery oil cheap and adds more volatility to the fuel makes truck operate smooth and gives the truck a pick me up. When I run s tank of fuel with nothing added I get reminded how sluggish the 7.3 is on straight diesel.

@@LongLongHoneymoon I’m on the fence with oil additives. I’ve seen some very reputable people in the industry that say it will mess with the stock additive packages. I am running a cycle of stiction eliminator in my Cummins but I don’t think it’ll be a regular thing. I have started running Amsoil and do see a difference. I recently signed up to be a dealer because I’m impressed with the results.

Not sure how true that is…

Since the improvement was so drastic im thinking the additive helped the turbo spin easier maybe.
I put an additive(not this stuff ) in tbe oil of my honda fit and i DROPPED 3 mpg because it made the oil thicker.
I watched your generator vid when you said the gen doesnt put out as much oower when really hot. Maybe try sitting a fan in front of it. It keeps me from overheating training on the spin bike!

64maxpower You make a good point about keeping the generator cool. We've thought about making a custom cover for it (like an umbrella shade). With regard to the Archoil, the AR9100 seems to have unique benefits with the Ford 6.0L diesel. I'm no diesel mechanic, but I believe it has to do with the engine's high pressure oil system. AR9100 really helps injectors to perform. I've been putting it into our other vehicles and I think I am seeing benefits (but they are not nearly as obvious as with our truck).

Jim Pratt LOL - Thank you for that 6 point OHHHHHHH reference, it made my day. With regard to your 5 point THREEEEE, I am less confident you would see the same kind of benefits. For our diesel truck, the AR9100 delivered a fantastic and almost immediate improvement. Not only has is our truck starting and running better, fuel economy has improved more than 35%. So for us, the treatment is sort of paying for itself. But our truck was suffering with a bad case of the infamous "stiction" issues. Your 5.3 truck may not need it like ours did! You may want to try the AR6200 fuel treatment. At the moment I am putting both products in all of our vehicles, though frankly I'm not as certain of the benefits in gas engines. But the impact on SEEMORE was so dramatic that I know this stuff works.

The best and easiest fix I've found over the years is to first say a prayer that your Ford starts, then let it warm up for about 15-20 mins then press brake, put it in gear and carefully drive it to the nearest Chevy dealer and trade it in. Ford is the number 1 selling truck in sales because they break and you have to keep buying a new one because the repair bill is more than the truck is worth. Make a good looking truck, hire a EXCELLENT marketing team and make a product that doesn't last and watch the profits from parts and sales roll in. To a lot of people 'LOOKS' is more important than 'RELIABILITY' and Ford knows this very very well.

Was curious about your around town MPG - was that towing or not? I get around 15 - 17 mpg depending on how conservatively I drive.
I have been happy with the F250 - minimal issues for the last eight years and 159K miles! However, we do expect our Ford vehicles will run a loooooong time (last E350 van had 260K when I traded it over my wife's protests, and current '05 E350 has over 260K non-gentle miles on it.

    • @TommyboyGTP
      @TommyboyGTP 9 років тому +1

+HappyHigh There were teething issues when the federal gov't mandated new very strict diesel emission standards. Every manufacturer had to scramble to meet them. International-Navistar up until the 6.7 made the Powerstroke for Ford, now they make their own in-house. Cummins makes diesel engines for Dodge Ram's, and Isuzu makes the Duramax for GM. The 6.0 Powerstroke can be a great engine if the proper maintenance and modifications are made to them to "bulletproof" them. The older 7.3's didn't have any of these problems. Check out Powerstrokehelp youtube channel and website for more information.

you may have found your truck starts better, runs better ect. But whats happening is the spool valve is becoming worn out over time. Your not fixing the problem simply masking it. Over time the archoil will not be able to mask those injectors and your going to end up replacing them. If you dont already have the updated fuel regulator kit from ford go get it.
