Check out this 6.0 diesel that we used Archoil in!!!

What about the motorcraft stuff?
What a waste!!!!
@@ken8334 MC Cetane boost s a good product. It's inexpensive and maintains the fuel system well in my climate. I have no regrets. Used some today at the pump.
That stuff is garbage, ask me how i know
I have a question I have a 6.7 Cummins how can I prevent my truck from having low sulfur or if I do have it how can I get rid off it?
Love how you’ve came around brother!! That stuff made a difference in my 15’ 6.7 for sure! Definitely slowed down my regens!!
12/11/23
Appreciate the video … I’ve been using Hotshots for a while now … it probably was doing a good job at lubricating the CP4 …. Nothing changed at all on mpg….. A friend of mine told me about Archoil …. I did the same package in video …. Been using it now for about 2 months … Have 60 gallon tank as well … that is definitely one of my best add ons to my 2015 6.7 F250 lol…. Anyway … Absolutely Love the Archoil ….. I’m on road a lot to Windrock from South Carolina … mpg went from 16.3 to 19.2 …. Using the Ar6300 for winter months and the Ar6500 other months …. It worked for me … it is a little higher but I’ll pay it. Thanks for the video.
3x the cost of Hot Shot's Secret EDT, hard pill to swallow. Ran 165k miles and decided to change out my CP4. Pulled it apart and it looked brand new. Confident it had another 100k at least w/ Hot Shot's Secret EDT at every fill up
230k on my CP4 ina 2011 f250 using Motorcraft Cetane Bost.
247k with power service diesel kleen plus on original CP4
Recently switched to archoil and i noticed worse fuel economy then before.
500,000 6.7 running nothing but straight diesel….well, not me but someone sure has…
@@Doc.HolidaySame. Been using it for the better part of a decade. I have not a CP4, but keeps the 6.0 happy and healthy.
I love Hot Shots EDT. And now they sell it with Winter Defense combined in the same bottle!
Hey ARod. I've used both Archoil and Stanadyne Performance additive at every fill-up on my 2020 6.7. I started with and mostly stuck with Stanadyne until about a year ago when I tried Archoil after watching some of Bill's videos on it. I agree and think it did improve my mileage a little and did feel like it affected/extended the regen. It is hard to say for sure but I honestly believe I noticed a slight improvement and I was running the minimum mixture not the Power Boost. I need to order some more so will used your code.
Hello yes I use the stuff every fill up.
Works great 👍
Enjoy doing your thing. Have fun. Jeff sc
Been running OptiLube XL and my CP4 is at 158k miles now. I intend on adding the disaster prevention kit, but when I considered changing it was to XL4 Lubricity, and I was discouraged across multiple sites, studies, and forums from using products with alcohol in them. Stuck with XL and the engine SEEMS to be fine. I'm not a diesel tech though.
I Ran Archoil in my 7.3L with good results. Obviously didn't have to worry about regen frequency or CP4 on it though. Now that I have a 6.7L though, I am running Opti-lube due to a deal I got. But I plan on trying the Archoil in the 6.7L soon. Especially the cleaner.
Thanks for your help with KYD. I have learned a ton in the last week. We live full time in the RV so now just trying to get connected with an Archoil delivery. Loosing the CP4 is next on the list. Thanks for your wisdom.
I got chu budddy
PIcked up both of these before my last trip. So far, so good. Getting slightly better mpg. Previously running Hot Shot.
We at 1.2 mpg
I use the archoil oil additive with every oil change in my 6.0, and also the fuel treatment in the tank. Big fan. It's the only brand I use for the 6.0
I bought a 2015 F350 6.7 2 years ago with 71,000 miles and now have just turned 100k.
Use archoil every fill up and injector cleaner every 5000 miles runs perfect
I’ve used Archoil for years. They also make an oil treatment that is very good. If you use both it will cut regens by almost half.
Archoil makes my 6.0 run like new. Every fill up every oil change.
DPF cleaner, can't tell helps. Maybe? But on fuel additive, Stanadyne Performance. It cleans, lubricates, adds cetane and, helps prevent gelling. Best product ever used.
Once I use up my Hotshots, I'll give Archoil a try again. I use to run it in my 7.3 and tractor and it seemed good to me. Don't know why I stopped using it...
I have been using Hotshots .just started trying archoil 6500 in my fuel tank. I am seeing a rise in fuel economy about 1-1.5 mpg. Running the performance dose. Seems to run great but it did on hotshots as well.
Same as us
I have used the Archoil oil additive every oil change on my 6.0 since I got it. Was using the fuel additive. Hubby had me change to Motorcraft Cetane Booster. Have seen a better economy with the Motorcraft vs the Archoil
I’ve been using the hotshot LX4 and the EDTwith every fill up. So far so good
I'm a HotShots Hound...!!!!...Next purchase will try Archoil...!!!
Hot Shots Diesel Extreme. This stuff actually works. I would say Archoil is on the same level.
Great stuff i use all of these products!
ARod keep the great videos coming!
Your the best dude!!
Pppppreciate chu
Looks like you are taking over for Bill. RIP Bill
After having a CP4 failure at 71k miles I tried a couple different additives. 1st dose tried Archoil then Hotshot. I noticed and improvement in both. However, the most noticeable was with Archoil especially when towing. I’ve also noticed fewer regens. I know it’s more pricey but I feel it’s worth it.
Save & use our code PTT
I run it in my 2020 6.7 Cummins. Both products. Work great. I have noticed that you get better fuel mileage with arch oil vs Hot shots.
Always ran an additive every fill up in my diesel trucks
I used Archoil every fuel up for years. Switched to HSS about a year ago. The cost is so much less for the HSS. I will say however .....I think the Archoil did get better fuel mileage....Maybe????
Been using Lucas upper cylinder lube in my 6.7 in every tank.
Guess when my HotShots is used up I'll give this a try.
I've run Power Servise (Silver) in all my diesels since, forever...LOL. The cost of the Archoil is pretty close to the PS so I'm gonna give it a try...Thanks for the 10% off too ARod!
Got chu
Arod been running both Archoil treatments for over a year on my 2019 geting 18.2 mpg stock factory setup.. Good stuff
Dont ferget save some bucks & use our code 🤘🤘
@@PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod thank you brother alot 👌
Just ordered some. Thanks for the code
Brother you will like! Report back, we wanna hear what you think
I’ve used Archoil in my 6.7 for years now and I don’t notice a difference in fuel economy. But I am at 5,000 feet in elevation so that might be the case. Nevertheless I don’t fuel up without it.
Just purchased this based on your recommendation!!
You will not be disappointed
I will. I am looking into a custom Diesel Ranger.
I just did 9100 in my oil. Full amsoil change.
6400-d in about 44 gallons. I was full.
And 4.0 Oz of 6500
In my 05 ex, 6.0.
Immediately, immediately noticed smoother idle and way nicer cold start. Perhaps my injectors were sticking a bit.
Hoping the effects are long lasting.
How about the fuel system cleaner I have a set of fuel filters here. Should I change them now or after this tank??
Best stuff for 7.3s and 6.0s!
I had been using Hot Shots EDT in my ‘21 F250 since about new. I decided to try Archoil to see if there was any difference. I first ran a tank of cleaner then went to the additive. Probably about 3 tanks in using the Power Dose and I went from 16.7 to 16.5. Not a huge loss in gas mileage, but not the 10% increase claimed. I will say that the engine does seem to run much smoother using the Archoil.
Winter diesel
Kind of funny you posted this.. Have been thinking about asking you about this stuff for awhile now..
Use it, youll like it!
Not concerned about that foil falling into the tank? I always removed the foil so there's no chance of that
I have purchased the BEM caps several years ago. I really like their design. Also I like the added security of someone tampering with your fuel system. It's bad enough getting quality fuel these days anyway. I have been using the Amsoil products in my fuel since the purchase of my 2019 6.7 dually.
We've used that too. NOT any more
Reason for changing from Amsoil? Thanks in advance
@fishermann1048 we used that, then used Hotshots secrets....we started running Archoil & have been noticing the biggest difference between all 3.
Have you used the Schaffers's Carbon Treat??? I wanted your input on it... I use it (Schaffer's) 2 oz. and Rev-X Distance + Gold 1 oz. per 25 gallons... Thanks
Have not
Old Bill was right!! I've been using Archoil in my oil and fuel for years in my 7.3, 6.0 & now 6.7. I also use Archoil in my Wife's VW Passat 2.0L TDI and she averages 50-60MPG a tank! Thanks PTT for the code!
Damn! So I noticed a big difference in my 6.0 with the oil additive. Which one are you running in the passat? I also have one 2015. 2.0
@@sledhead904 In the Passat TDI I run AR6500 in the fuel on almost every fill up and AR9100 in the oil when I do a oil change. Our TDI is a 2013 with 108K of trouble free miles. This is a Diesel Gate car that we decided to keep.
@@497SC same, we got this one from vw cpo. Still has warranty. Just about 100k miles. Car has been great.
@@sledhead904 These 2.0 TDI’s have a cult following. We’ve been offered crazy money for our Passat. I just look at the MPG’s and say no thank you it’s not for sale haha!
Goode ole’ bill!
Project farm. Hotshots vs arch oil. I watched his hot shots ant gel vid. I was an avid howes guy, after that see ya hot shots all day. The lubricity test was all I needed and cold flow.
He also did just hotshots to see if it really lubricates, like it said. He found it did. Did you see that one.
Nice you can give your opinion on things now 👍
2010 Ford F-250 super duty 6.? L power stroke what additive to use for engine protection, cleaning and milage. Thanks
I used Archoil products on my former F250 6.7, peace of mind.
i've been running power service white bottle but i'm curious about this archoil. i don't get anywhere near 500 miles per regen, more like 200-300.
Id definitely give it a try brother
I swotched from hotshots to archoil and Ive noticed the motor seems to run smoother and I get better MPG's. Worth the extra cost and wait to me. Doesn't take to long for it to ship.
Better use our code on their site "PTT"
RIP Bill.
Hey man I been using the arch oil for five years I been using the kit it's for the oil and fuel I have a 2014 F250 I like it very much 😅
Use our code PTT and save some bucks
Best way to cut down on regen is to do surgery on the def system
My old 7.3 (210k miles) was smoking pretty bad. It probably needs new injectors. I put some of this in and the smoke went away almost instantly. Gonna miss you Bill!! 😢
We all wills
Been getting my additives from Industrial Injection.
You got me on Hot Shots and I’m not changing lol
I thought so too! But when i saw thw differences i said SEEEYA
I’ll keep running hotshots. Use the edt and lx4 every tank and every oil change it gets a diesel extreme dose. Every other oil change it gets fr3 and stiction eliminator. Can’t go wrong. Hotshot had the best lubricity testing so I’ll keep it up.
You know you're not supposed to use any other additives when using their stiction eliminator? It also already has fr3 in it so you're using too much of that if you are adding more.
@@midwestcampingfamily not sure if I wasn’t clear or not but I use both oil additives. Every other change as in one change gets fr3 the next gets stiction then the next gets fr3 and so on.
I use Archoil ar6200 in my 6.7 high output Tremor. Awesome stuff
Use our code PTT on their site buddy!!!
I did purchased this additive for my 2012 6.7L. Thanks. What is your thoughts on Bio Diesel?
Stay away from that crap
not a Ford question but, I have a 94 dodge with a ppump what fuel additive would you suggest?
I'll have to give it a try, I've been running hot shots for 80k miles
Been running same here for 30k miles since day 1
I use arch oil in my 7.3&6.0
The best additive in the game 💯
Fer real!
I've tried Hotshot's and Archoil. Archoil is definitely worth the price difference, noticeable difference vs Hotshot's.
Archoil hands down is the best additive fuel cleaner, fuel additive, and the friction modifier. Great results in my 6.7
Use our code PTT
I ordered both today. I have a 2017 F350 75k miles, and the 60 gal S&B. I have never used any fuel additives or cleaner. Can I use both the Fuel System Cleaner and the Treatment at the same time. or should I use the cleaner, and burn through most of the tank and then start using the Treatment on my next tank? Is it all right to use the System cleaner in 55 gal of fuel or should I use some of my fuel up first so that the cleaner is diluted less?
Nope ull be juss fine for both 👍🤘
Hey Bud, what about the freezing weather anti gel? Do they figure that into the product?
Yepp...cold weather additive video* coming soon
You mentioned you are running the 60 gallon tank do you have any trouble when filling up. Meaning is it slow fill. Looking at putting one on my 23 SD also going to start running the arcoil thanks for all the helpful information
Not 1 problem
Thanks 👍
I’m excited for the HD 6.0 to come to the channel ❤

@@PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod HotShot Secret LX4 and Everyday fuel treatment is what I'm running ...!!!
If a fuel pump failiure occurs,,, don’t techs like you pull fuel from the tank to get analysed and states clearly in the manual no additives, cause for warranty to be voided?
Been rocking the hot shots from the day I picked up my truck in June. Bast off some of your content and others. (But definitely going to give this a whirl)
On another note when would you recommend moving to the winter version? Would love a video on what temps start to goo the fuel up. I have already had a few mornings around 8-10°F
Thanks for you time. And stoked you made it to sema
Hey bud! If its that cold id be switchin for sure. 30 or below...time for winter blend. Cold weather video coming soon
Thanks for that! I got winter and normal on its way 🤘🏼☃️🤘🏼
I've been using it since back in the day when Bill Hewitt recommended it. Now that you recommend it, just solidifies that. I use they're injector cleaner, fuel and oil additive (in hopes it will make my 2012 turbo last a little longer).

May give it a try in my GM 3.0L Duramax.
Use our code PTT try it out. I was impressed that i wanted 2 tell yall about it
Thanks!
Any benefit to using this in my JD Compact tractor? (1.3L 3cyl Yanmar)
Yes sir excellent lubricant for the HP system
What are your thoughts on running a fuel additive during a break in period? Ford says not to use them in the first 1000 miles cause the added lubricity can keep the rings from seating properly but I’ve heard it said that your rings are not really seated until 15k miles or more. My 6.7 PSD is at 3k miles. When do you think is a good time to start giving her the juice?
Every tank! Mine has been with it since 21 miles. Have 34k on it now. Member to use our code PTT
I've been running Archoil for two months, I have seen a reduction in the amount of regens with it.
Post combustion bubby
Same here. Went from 75-100 miles to about 200 miles per regen
Do the fuel passes the valves on your car, if not, maybe you should buy valve cleaning spray that you spray into the intake of the engine If the valves have become really dirty. Note for diesel
Anyone have experience with Archoil OIL additive in their 6.7 powerstroke? Was thinking about using it to quiet down the typewriter tick after an oil change. Beyond annoying!!!
Think it's any good in the 3.0 Power Stroke?
Absolutely
Does anybody have an opinion on what kind of lubricity additive I should be running in my 2002 7.3 power stroke?
I had CASES of BG 227D but I'm down to 4 bottles...
A friend puts in a small bottle of 2 stroke oil in every fill up for older pre DPF filter for lubrication
That's a thought but I want something that's tested with a calculate exact ounces per gallons-tankful.
The truck sits a lot nowadays but she still gets worked during deer season..@@jackylsmith8138

Been waiting for this vid to drop. So, Archoil is better thane HSS EDT? Been using EDT last couple years in my 17 F350 daily ride, but had great success with Archoil in my prior 06 6.0 psd. May switch fuel and oil solutions to Archoil for my 6.7 now. Thanks ARod...

Is there an antigel agent in there product line?
Yepp! Winter treatment video coming sooon!!
I run the hot shot for sure
Amsoil and Hotshots beat that juice in ASTM testing. There is a reason Banks Corp flys a Amsoil banner. Your fuel economy is up because of the winter blend and any cetane booze helps that and soot but people concerned about a CP4 should be most worried about an additives ability to prevent wear scar. That where the ASTM tests prove out the results
Flys better usin archoil vs Hotshots in my rig.
My milage drops when using 15w40 compared to 5w40. 1-2 mpg ,2020 F250 6.7 140k miles change oil every 7500. This stuff is interesting though
I def wldnt be running 15w40
I read a TSB through Ford that said that the 6.7L super dutie platforms will regen every 500 miles regardless. Is this true?
Regen happens due to many factors. The rule of thumb here is, the more fuel that is ran thru that engine, will depict how often it will regen. You tow.....you gonna be drinkin DEF & regenin' like crazy.
This is understandable. The other reason that I mentioned that was I was working on a shop where I was the only diesel/ equipment mechanic there and I the only trucks that I would work on happily were the 7.3L, 6.0L, and the 5.9L platforms. My boss wanted to start bringing in the newer trucks and decided to have me watch a Ford 6.7L technician training videos and when it came to the after treatment portion of the course that part was strangely the one thing that stuck out the most. Primarily because of the fact that we had random customers that had quite a few problems with their after treatment systems. One of the biggest things that we had problems with was that customers wouldn't really let their trucks regen and when the truck started to reach in they would get to wherever they were trying to go to and just shut their truck off, causing their DPF system to clog and therefore go into derate.
So we really never had any problems with the temperature probes or the diesel exhaust fluid injectors or anything of nature. I live in Arizona and strangely enough the people who tow never really came in for after treatment issues. The majority of our customers that came in with after treatment issues were the ones who built their trucks as mall cruisers.
There are additives that claim to raise the cetane content by 10 numbers which I understood as eg the VP racing product should also be available in the USA. Then there is Cetane-X (Diesel Booster Don’t know if it is available in the USA but is available on Amazon India. Then there is NF Diesel boost. It is probably not available in the USA?

Yes they do. It is basically the same stuff just with anti-gel I think it the 6400 but check fist before you order.

@@PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod what are your thoughts on this (winter version) being an emulsifier vs demulsifier? Doesn't that mean that you end up sending water through the fuel system ? Thanks

Did you say you saw 1mpg gain? On one tank? I can see that with taking a different route to work. Doing 60 not 71mph. I think you need a better comparison, do it without for 10,000 and with for 10,000 miles. Less likely to go be the same.
...no
How much hotshots did you use every fill up?
Triple dose for that 60 gally
Archoil is probably great but to expensive compared to edt and edt is available at local parts store. Archoil not as available.
