  • In this video I will show how I swirl my melt and pour soap. Melt and pour soap is usually melted in the microwave making the soap really hot and impossible to swirl. Follow the steps in this video and you will be swirling your melt and pour soap in no time.

    Thank you…that was great. Beautiful soap. I would like to know how you keep your soap to stay in a thin trance. Within like three minutes my soap get lumpy. I put it back in the microwave…that helped but I don’t see you having to do that.

      Hi, thank you for watching ❤️ It could be the soap you’re using. I use crafters choice detergent free melt and pour and I usually have to wait about 10-15 mins for it to cool down and thicken.

    Lovely video. Patience is not my strength, lol. Can you tell us what colors you use and where you get them? My colors fade or change color over time (still learning and practicing).

      Thank you so much! I use micas from a lot of different sources and I’ve never had that issue. It might be the melt and pour base you’re using that is the problem. Try one off the detergent free melt and pour bases from wholesale supplies plus. I buy micas from there as well. Thanks for watching ❤️

      Depends on which soap designs but mainly it would be a no because the soaps behave so differently

    Does it sweat? Glycerin due

    • @goldengoodies
      @goldengoodies  Місяць тому

      It is a glycerin based soap so it can sweat but as long as you don’t over do it on the additives you should be ok.

      @goldengoodies thanks a lot, I'm looking into getting in the soap, biz, lol. I love watching them being made and just decided to just jump in and give it a go. If you don't mind answering another question of mines. Is it better to do cold press soap or the melt and pour? I figured I'd start with the melt and pour since I'm so new to it.

    • @goldengoodies
      @goldengoodies  2 місяці тому

      It’s just a matter of preference. I started with melt and pour soap because it’s a much more simple process and after doing a lot of research I tried my luck with cold process soap. My first batch wasn’t the prettiest but it was soap lol

    What brands of M n P did u use

  • @sc17forever
    @sc17forever 4 місяці тому

    How much mp fits in that mold? How much do I need to plan to melt without waste?

    • @goldengoodies
      @goldengoodies  4 місяці тому

      It is 3lb mold but it can hold about 3.5lbs if you fill it to the top

    • @sc17forever
      @sc17forever 4 місяці тому

      @@goldengoodies thanks! So when I melt the soap down, do I cube up 3.5lb of the base, melt and pour? I'm sure this is so obvious lol but I don't want to start it and not have nearly enough or too much. I made the mistake with my small molds and had to fill up random molds that is not what I'm going for just so I didn't waste it but essentially it is a waste

    • @goldengoodies
      @goldengoodies  3 місяці тому

      Ok I understand. If that’s the case start with 3lbs of soap and see if that works for you. 3.5 will fill the mold all the way to the top. Yes, cube 3lbs of soap.
