“In the name of Jesus, I renounce the sin of envy and the idolatry of what others have. I renounce the lie that I’m not good enough and that my family is not good enough. I acknowledge the truth that you, Father, have given me everything I need and have blessed me with my family. In the name of Jesus, I renounce self-hatred and shame. Amen.”
Love this episode. I remember one mass I was at in the Philippines and the priest said during the homily that he loves seeing families with babies/children at mass because they are the future of the catholic church.
I’m so blessed to have heard this talk! Even a month later of being streamed still true today! I don’t show up because I’m nor perfect ☹️. Lord give me the grace to show up❤️🙏🏼. Thank you Cameron and Matt!!!
Incredible show!! Super side note: Cameron’s hair looks beautiful?! It looks like she braided it and let it out after it dried... super pretty! Matt’s hair looks awesome too, curls are handsome! Wish my husband Let his curls grow 🙃
My mom passed away just over 9 years ago. The week before the anniversary of her passing, I got in touch with 2 friends and told them I just needed to get out of the house that day. The 3 of us went to a local bakery, ate lunch at a steakhouse then went to Mass. Two other friends came to Mass to be with me. God has blessed me with friends who have become family who continue to show up in good times and bad times. None of care what the other one looks like and we don't care what their house looks like. We show up for each other every day. Thank you for sharing your life with us as we work to be closer to God.
Excellent episode! The best cure for envy is communal in nature. Show up imperfect, invite people into your mess, let your brothers/sisters in Christ see that you don't have it all together either. By doing so we make the Church more accessible and welcoming to "the least of these".
Thank you what you said about kids in mass. I struggle with my toddler on Sunday and daily mass. I need to let go more. I am so thankful because on the days when she's a mess and I feel bad people come up to me and say thank you for bringing your child to mass
You are a wonderful couple! Very inspiring to see you both enjoying your ministry. You help me with all the shows...giving of yourself on air. God Bless you!
Wow !! Just what I needed . Hearing Matt say he sometimes feels not lovable or not good enough came as a shocker to me especially because I was kind of dealing with the exact same thing. That prayer at the end was absolutely brilliant. Thanks be to God🙏
My brother and I are good friends with Alice and Jacob and I fangirl hard every time you mention them! Love love love them and your content. I told my (brand new!) husband last night that the most helpful thing about listening to your podcast is that the number of stories you tell allows me to APPLY this wisdom because I'm better able to think of a similar situation I've been in or will likely be in. Thanks so much for all of the love you put into these! Cheers, Cameron!! P.s. I'm hoping to add supporting your patreon into our budget soon! Looking forward to chatting with that community more intimately!
What a wonderful episode and reminder! When people focus on you and you on them and what we bring to the table as opposed to just "looking right" or "seeming right" at the table, we come together heart and soul in Christ with eachother. 🙏💕🌻
Thank you! This episode is such a blessing. I was talking to my husband tonight how I can’t seem to get it together, especially with the house and kids. It feels good to not be alone. God Bless!
Matt! The way you look in this video is PERFECT! This is your look. Embrace it - once again! Yay! Cameron!! Your hair looks great wavy, and I love the make up. I'm being serious! ( not crazy) You both look great! ❤
Thanks for the video. I like the topic and perspective. Also, you low key blurt out names of people in your friend stories that I know/am friends with and the little child in me gets all excited 😛
As a new Catholic, I'm so happy to subscribe to Among The Lilies channel after watching this video! Trying to get plugged in after converting, during Covid is a challenge to say the least. What a blessing that you're sharing real life when the trend is to only present "perfection"... (especially in Christian ladies groups). I find the perfection alienating as I'm so far from it! Thank you!!
About how to know the acceptable limits of too messy or not...I have always heard the home should be “clean enough to be healthy and messy enough to be happy!”
Amen! This is so beautiful!! So nice to see the two of you together like this!😍😃🙏🏻🕊🔥 Yes...it’s not just about the talk but especially about the walk. Come Holy Spirit help us to be Your eyes, Your Hands, Your Mouth, Your Feet, Your Arms of Selfless serving mercy. 🙏🏻🕊🔥❤️🔥🕊🙏🏻 Warmest greetings and thanks! prayerfully yours +In JMJ+ Angèle
I live in 🇨🇦 it was good the other patients defended you, gives me hope I have never met or known anyone that has PRIVATE INSURANCE. I have extra insurance for medication, teeth and eyes through employers but, the Health care is a nightmare. Just being honest! I loved that the “American” in her. Canadians are very passive but, lately some really angry or depressed.
I felt your topic and Matt's feeling of insecurity and envy could use the song by Matthew West "Truth be Told" as a good reminder and reflection to address this topic.
God has blessed me with beautiful curly hair. I am thankful for the chapel veil which sometimes helps calm the curves when my hair looks more like Einstein. Lol
I like being honest. I am 76.5 so have hoed,a couple of rows in life. I was raised in a spotless house. Behind the scenes there were messes. Mental illness, alcoholism and spiritual deprivation. This is not a slam dunk on neatness. We can not travel this journey with out each other sharing the crosses.
We need to focus on giving God OUR BEST not justifying ourselves on how giving God the leftovers is good enough. This is exhibit A in self absorbed anthropocentric Catholicism that the Church has devolved into.
Isn't that what she is saying? Sometimes for a mom to "show up" with her many young rambunctious kids and an often messy home is precisely this very humbling giving of her "best." Maybe to someone else with greater gifts that looks like leftovers. She is discussing serving the Lord in and through our human weakness and limitations out of love for Him and neighbor (read Searching for and Maintaining Peace by Fr Jacques Philipe, changed my life in this regard.) I can't imagine a more self-abnegating and humbling mentality. It appears to me so far from the truth that she is advocating some form of self-absorption. God bless you but you kind of missed her point entirely
I’m literally 1:20 into this video and struggling to let go of the fact that I wanted to love this UA-cam channel for Catholic women, but even in a few other videos I’ve noticed that Cameron brings up her appearance a lot and it’s distracting! I’m here for talk about Jesus, not about makeup and hair and outfits. I think i was expecting this channel to be female “pints with Aquinas” and I’m disappointed. I’m going to try managing my expectations, but I get irritated with the feminine habit of commenting on one’s appearance frequently. Cameron, you need to be kinder to yourself, too! I really like the look of your hair, it is modern, sleek, and looks natural. If it is not your preference, that’s fine, but don’t write it off completely by saying “I know it doesn’t look great, okay I realized that…” we are our own worst critics and yours is clearly very opinionated! See yourself and your appearance through God’s eyes, not your own and you’ll be freed of the modern self-obsession with appearance - I know that is hard with the way you grew up, believing that a woman’s looks are everything, but it is time to LET IT GO! BE FREE! 🕊🤍

Thank you!!! Adding this to my daily prayers!!!
Can we take a moment and appreciate the INTRO! It is absolutely beautiful!
Thank you so much!!
Can the music be found anywhere online?
As a mother of 7 children, I always kept a red wash cloth and towel for injuries. When no blood can be seen the kids were always calmer.
Oh GREAT tip!
Good advice!
Super smart, thanks!!
I did this too! 😂
Love this episode. I remember one mass I was at in the Philippines and the priest said during the homily that he loves seeing families with babies/children at mass because they are the future of the catholic church.
Lol! Love your sense of humor, and your heart for Jesus and His Holy Church🙏❤☦️
Even with your sun burns and wet hair you are still so beautiful!!!
I’m so blessed to have heard this talk! Even a month later of being streamed still true today! I don’t show up because I’m nor perfect ☹️. Lord give me the grace to show up❤️🙏🏼. Thank you Cameron and Matt!!!

I am rewatching the UA-cam.
You are good mom to do what it takes for your child.
Showing up made me think of Veronica who wiped Jesus face.

my hair looks just like yours right now!
I cried 4x. These were beautiful stories

“Invite Christ into the mess and give Jesus all you’ve got” Beautiful message ❤️
You two are such a gift to me. Thank you for your authenticity.
Thank you what you said about kids in mass. I struggle with my toddler on Sunday and daily mass. I need to let go more. I am so thankful because on the days when she's a mess and I feel bad people come up to me and say thank you for bringing your child to mass
You are so welcome!
Great episode to enjoy this morning.
Glad you enjoyed it
This was such a lovely episode, thank you Cameron and Matt. I just love how you both share your true, beautiful hearts with us.
Honestly I love your hair, and I didn't notice any redness before you mentioned it. Looking natural is beautiful too :)
Thank you so much 🙂
You are a wonderful couple! Very inspiring to see you both enjoying your ministry. You help me with all the shows...giving of yourself on air. God Bless you!

That’s okay, our house is a mess too. It drives me crazy but at least we’re not killing ourselves trying to look perfect.
This is a beautiful episode!
Now googling "colundula" lol thanks for the mom tip!!
Happy to help!
What a beautiful prayer Matt shared.
Also, he does have fantastic hair.
Amen!
This is so beautiful!!

Love that you are just real. Reminded me of a song Jesus take me as I am .
Mary visits Elizabeth in her time of need. Visitation.
Show up imperfect > Not showing up at all 🙂
Can you link that prayer for renouncing envy?
6 min mark...Canada?! Heyyy🇨🇦❤
I felt your topic and Matt's feeling of insecurity and envy could use the song by Matthew West "Truth be Told" as a good reminder and reflection to address this topic.
❤❤😢❤
….and I don’t invite people over because I’m a mess at home 😰
do it!!! invite someone over this week!!!
God has blessed me with beautiful curly hair. I am thankful for the chapel veil which sometimes helps calm the curves when my hair looks more like Einstein. Lol
I love Tina ♥️
You are a beautiful couple. Makes me miss my catholic community 😢
You are a very lucky man @Matt_Frad

Do you still go to Divine Liturgy or the Roman right
depends on the week, we enjoy both
I think Matt should grow his hair out into a mullet - very Australian
Business in front, party in the back...nice, great idea😂
@@jesssssst Exactly! Perfect combo

Perhaps if I were a woman I would understand, but what is "tired of pretending and ready to be real" supposed to refer to? Pretending what?
mainly focus on being "real' and not who you pretend to be on social media
When will we all stop dressing ourselves up to go to God?
