Just got back,Fab stay at the Rio Park, walked this path daily, didn’t see any issues, felt save, and 70
Good to hear Graham 😀 Rio Park is a lovely hotel!
Oh wow ive never heard of muggers alley and we go to Benidorm every year 😳
It was not a muggers alley Angela .It was an alley of diverse bars and clubs ,it was demolished in ,i think 2010 or about that time .Its glory days were in the 70s and early 80s.I remember the TRADE WINDS bar and 1 or 2 others but its a long time ago so maybe only old farts like me remember it,but if anyone has memories of it please let us know for old time sake.
Who remembers the original yellow brick road and The Alley from the early 80s.It was not so easy to walk as it is now.
Hi there, thanks for this posting as I have heard about this alley but never knew where it was. I will google map it now. Cheers DougT

As with anywhere you go in the world we just need to use our common Sense love benidorm
Is there any other way of leaving this hotel and getting to the strip via a main road, rather then walk the path ?
Yes, when you leave the hotel, turn right onto Calle Kennedy, then turn right onto Av. de Cuenca - this takes you to the strip without using the "Yellow brick road". Niamh x
Hi, can you walk into the old town without using this path?
Absolutely 😊 if your staying at Rio park you can walk towards Avenue Europa and along Calle Ibiza towards the old town.

Every time I’ve been to Benidorm walking back at night the same group are always hanging around at the bottom obviously up to no good given the opportunity
The police must be aware of this so why are they there night after night spoils the area , even though I know you can find this issue in a lot of resorts
